Part of BCL „s environmental policy is to reduce our carbon footprint. As well as a monthly forum to discuss how to help save energy and re-duce wastage our staff have recently undergone a training session to

heighten awareness and see if any ideas came through.

One issue was the disposal of chipboard used in the manufacturing for

office furniture such as desks , cupboards and cabinets.

A Solution for this waste is that the chipboard is broken down , remov-ing any metallic items like screws and handles, then mix the chipboard

with other products to produce soil improvers and topsoil.

BCL have also been able to provide the Barnardo‟s childrens charity with some second hand furniture , and hope to continue this on a regular

basis.

Another charity benefiting from used furniture is The Inventors forum,

who sell on, and also distribute items to prospective inventors.

Hi Diane, I just wanted to thank you for making the necessary

arrangements for Spain last week. Ray and Mark were fabulous as were the guys from Home to Home. God knows how they

all worked in that heat.. I helped for 2 van loads then gave up!

It was just too hot to work for an old boy like me!

Anyway, I just wanted to say thank you for sorting that for

me.. much appreciated!

Oh, and just so you know they did get 20 mins rest I have

attached a couple of pics..

All the best Stewart.
