Diaphragm pumps - Allrounder for the industry
sera Diaphragm pumpsare oscillating displacement pumps for the dosing of fluids. The medium, which is pumped, is separated by a diaphragm from the drive. Thus, the drive is protected from harmful influences by the medium.The diaphragm pumps are used wherever a leakage-free dosing is needed, as with aggressive, abrasive, radioactive, inflammable, viscous and toxic features.
The flowrate can be controlled continous or adjustable. With the adjustable version, this is done by changing the stroke length.
The flow adjustment depends on analogue or digital input signals by:
- AC motors with frequency converter for stroke frequency adjustment- Servomotors with positioners for stroke length adjustment

Each drive unit consists of a proven motor coupled to a stroke mechanism in a robust aluminium housing.

For special dosing problems we offer individual solutions: Pump heads with special nominal bores, heating devices, etc. Double valve assemblies, spring loaded, with elastic seats, etc.Flushing devices for intermittent and final cleaning to prevent sedimentation in the pump body., extension of stroke encoder, diaphragm monitoring, amongst others.

Options
Frequency converter
Using a frequency converter, the speed and thus the head of the dosing pump can be regulated without control electronics.
Electronical control
The electronical control of the C-pump series has many advantages, like the opportunity to control it via an external interface, batch programming or the continuous monitoring of the diaphragm, flow rate and tank level.
Profibus DP-Interface
The electronical control of the C-pump series can also be equip-ped with an Profibus DP-Interface. The advantage is that the sera dosing pump can be connected directly to a bus system.
USA Design
The design of the C-pump series electronics come with UL-certi-fication by TÜV Rheinland.
Pumpbody with integrated relief valveThe integrated diaphragm relief valve protects the pump against excessive overpressure while the discharge line is clo-sed. It can be used for liquid media without solids at a flow rate up to max. 570 l/h.

Manual vent valve (at FRP design...409.2-0,8e - ...-2,4e)The vent valve is used for manual ventilation of the pump body during commissioning.
Stroke unit encoder
sera dosing pumps are oscillating displacement pumps with a precisely defined stroke unit per hub. The stroke unit encoder captures the single pump hubs and passes each to the evalua-tion unit.
Diaphragm monitoring
Electrical actuator for stroke length adjustment
The electric actuator for stroke length is automatically adjusted by a control unit and requires no further manual adjustment. The actuator then turns the adjusting screw in and out, depen-ding on the desired delivery volume.
The conductive diaphragm monitoring is carried out via an electrode in conjunction with an evaluation unit. With the C pumps the electrode can be connected directly at the electronic controls, thus it is continuously monitored. At the R pumps, a relay is needed for evaluation.
