Welcome

Dear YMCA Members, We truly hope that you are enjoying the newly renovated facility. Amazing that we celebrate a full year in our new pool and lobby on May 16th, and what a great aquatic facility it is! Now that we have been through a full cycle, Aquatics Director Kaitlyn has been able to address scheduling conflicts which make pool transitions go much more smoothly. Summer swim lessons and water exercise are so much more fun with the daylight streaming into the room! Thanks to our Marketing Committee and staff, we now have a presence on Facebook, so you can keep up to date on last minute programs and changes, just by adding us as your friend. This has been especially handy if there are scheduling changes and announcements. Speaking of committees, if you have an interest in becoming more involved in the YMCA where you belong, consider joining us! We have committees for Properties, Board Development/Membership, Marketing, Finance, Caring for Kids, and OCC Golf Tournament. Member involvement would be very welcome! Send me a note to let me know what you might like to join: [email protected] Enjoy the spring weather, and we look forward to seeing you all summer. Laurie O'Shaughnessy Executive Director/CEO

Caring for Kids

Canandaigua Family YMCA

At the YMCA, one of our most important goals has always been to enrich the lives of kids in our community. But when some are left out, it leaves us all a bit poorer. As a person with vested interest in the future of your community, you can help these kids grow into responsible, successful adults. YMCA activities help chil-dren develop valuable skills, gain confidence and build self-esteem. By contributing to the YMCA caring for kids Campaign, you can help us teach these young people such important values as caring, hon-esty, responsibility and respect.

Our mission The mission of the Canandaigua Family YMCA is to put Christian Principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Our goal Financial assistance is based on ability to pay. It is the policy of the Canandaigua Family YMCA that no person be denied membership or program par-ticipation by reason of inability to pay fees. Funds made available for financial assistance are pro-vided through the United Way and the YMCA’s an-nual Caring for Kids Campaign.
