Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus
Stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
1 Cor. 16:13
Stand up, stand up for
Jesus,
Ye soldiers of the cross;
Lift high His royal banner,
It must not suffer loss:
From vict’ry unto vict’ry
His army shall He lead,
Till every foe is
vanquished
And Christ is Lord indeed.
Stand up, stand up for
Jesus, The trumpet call
obey;
Forth to the mighty
conflict
In this His glorious day:
Ye that are men, now serve Him
Against unnumbered foes; Let courage rise with
danger, And strength to strength oppose.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, Stand in His
strength alone; The arm of flesh will fail you; Ye
dare not trust your own.
Put on the gospel armor;
Each piece put on with prayer. Where duty calls,
Or danger, Be never wanting there.
Stand up, stand up for Jesus, The strife will not
be long. This day the noise of battle; The next,
the victor’s song.
To him that over cometh, A crown of life shall be;
He with the King of Glory Shall reign eternally.
CHRIST AROSEIt was impossible for death to
keep its hold on Him. Acts 2:24
Low in the grave He lay,
Jesus my Savior!
Waiting the coming day,
CHORUS
Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes;
He a rose a Victor from
the dark domain,
CHORUS
And He lives for ever
with his saints to reign,
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah!
Christ arose.
Vainly they watch His bed,
Jesus my Savior!
Vainly they seal the dead,
CHORUS
Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes;
He a rose a Victor from
the dark domain,
CHORUS
And He lives for ever
with his saints to reign,
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah!
Christ arose.
Death Cannot keep his prey,
Jesus my Savior!
He tore the bars away,
CHORUS
Jesus my Lord!
Up from the grave He arose,
With a mighty triumph o’er His foes;
He a rose a Victor from
the dark domain,
And He lives for ever
with his saints to reign,
He arose! He arose!
Hallelujah!
Christ arose.

I Believe InA HILL CALLED
MOUNT CALVARY
There are things
as we travel this
earth’s shifting sands,
That transcend all
the reason of man;
But the things that matter
the most in this world,
They can never
be held in our hand,
I believe in a hill
called Mount Calv’ry
I’ll believe what
ever the cost;
And when time
has surrendered
and earth is no more.
I’ll still cling to that
old rugged cross.
I believe that the
Christ who was slain
on that cross,
Has the power to
change lives today
For He changed
me completely,
A new life is mine,
That is why by the cross
I will stay.
I believe in a hill
called Mount Calv’ry
I’ll believe what
ever the cost;
And when time has
surrendered and earth
is no more.
I’ll still cling to that
old rugged cross.
I believe that this life
with its great mysteries surely
someday will
come to an end;
But faith will conquer
the darkness and death
and will lead me
at last to my friend.
I believe in a hill
called Mount Calv’ry
I’ll believe what
ever the cost;
And when time has
surrendered and earth
is no more.
I’ll still cling to that
old rugged cross.
Precious Lord,
Take My HandI am the Lord… who takes hold of your right hand.
Isa. 41:13
Precious Lord, take my hand,
Lead me on, help me stand
I am tired, I am weak, I am worn;
Thro’ the storm, thro’ the night,
Lead me on to the light
Take my hand, precious Lord,
lead me home
When my way grows drear,
Precious Lord, linger near
When my life is almost gone;
Hear my cry, hear my call,
Hold my hand lest I fall
Take my hand, precious Lord,
lead me home
Luke 10: 25 – 37
One day an expert in religious
law stood up to test Jesus by
asking him this question:
“Teacher, what should I do to
inherit eternal life?” 26 Jesus
replied, “What does the law of
Moses say? How do you read
it?”27 The man answered, “‘You
must love the LORD your God
with all your heart, all your soul,
all your strength, and all your
mind.’ And, ‘Love your neighbor
as yourself.’”[a]
28 “Right!” Jesus told him. “Do
this and you will live!”29 The man wanted to justify his
actions, so he asked Jesus,
“And who is my neighbor?”
Parable of the Good Samaritan30 Jesus replied with a story: “A
Jewish man was traveling from
Jerusalem down to Jericho, and
he was attacked by bandits.
They stripped him of his
clothes, beat him up, and left
him half dead beside the road.31 “By chance a priest came
along. But when he saw the
man lying there, he crossed to
the other side of the road and
passed him by. 32 A Temple
assistant[b] walked over and
looked at him lying there, but he
also passed by on the other
side.33 “Then a despised Samaritan
came along, and when he saw
the man, he felt compassion for
him. 34 Going over to him, the
Samaritan soothed his wounds
with olive oil and wine and
bandaged them. Then he put
the man on his own donkey and
took him to an inn, where he
took care of him. 35 The next day
he handed the innkeeper two
silver coins,[c] telling him, ‘Take
care of this man. If his bill runs
higher than this, I’ll pay you the
next time I’m here.’36 “Now which of these three
would you say was a neighbor
to the man who was attacked by
bandits?” Jesus asked.37 The man replied, “The one
who showed him mercy.”
Then Jesus said, “Yes, now go
and do the same.”

Let there be peace on earth,
and let it begin with me;
let there be peace on earth,
the peace that was
meant to be.
With God our creator,
children all are we.
Let us walk with each other
in perfect harmony.
Let peace begin with me
Let this be the moment now,
With every step I take
Let this be my solemn vow
To take each moment
and live each moment
in peace eternally
Let there be peace on earth
and let it begin with me.
Praise God from whom all
blessings flow; Praise Him,
all creatures here below;
Praise Him above,
ye heav’n-ly host; Praise Father,
Son and Holy Ghost.
Victory in JesusHe gives us the victory through
our Lord Jesus Christ. 1 Cor. 15:57
I heard an old, old story,
how a Savior came from glory,
How He gave His life on Calvary
To save a wretch like me:
I heard about His groaning,
Of His precious blood’s atoning,
Then I repented of my sins
and won the victory.
O victory in Jesus, my Savior,
Forever, He sought me
And bo’t me with His
Redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory
Beneath the cleansing flood.
I heard about His healing,
Of His cleansing pow’r revealing,
How He made the lame to walk
Again and caused the blind to see;
And then I cried, “Dear Jesus,
come and heal my broken spirit,”
And somehow Jesus came
And bro’t to me the victory.
O victory in Jesus, my Savior,
Forever, He sought me
And bo’t me with His
Redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory
Beneath the cleansing flood.
I heard about a mansion
He has built for me in glory,
And I heard about
the streets of gold
beyond the crystal sea;
About the angels singing,
and the old redemption story,
And some sweet day I’ll sing up
there the song of victory.
O victory in Jesus, my Savior,
Forever, He sought me
And bo’t me with His
Redeeming blood;
He loved me ere I knew Him,
And all my love is due Him
He plunged me to victory
Beneath the cleansing flood.
