God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. If we claim to have fellowship with him, yet walk in the darkness, we lie and so not live by the truth. But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from sin. If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Most holy and merciful Father, We confess to you and to one another, that we have sinned against you by what we have done, and by what we have left undone. We have not loved you with our whole heart and mind and strength. We have not fully loved our neighbors as ourselves. We have not always had in us the mind of Christ. You alone know how often we have grieved you by wasting your gifts, by wandering from your ways. Forgive us, we pray you, most merciful Father; And free us from our sin. Renew in us the grace and strength of your Holy Spirit, for the sake of Jesus Christ your Son our Savior. Amen.
ASSURANCE OF GOD’S GRACE Psalm 103:10-14 God does not punish us as we deserve or repay us according to our sins and wrongs. As high as the sky is above the earth, so great is His love for those who honor Him. He has removed our sins as far as the east is from the west.

We are thrilled to welcome our new pastor, Reverend Michael Moore and his wife Denise to their new home here at Carrollton Presbyterian. He and his wife Denise have recently moved from Estes Park, Colorado. Michael is an Air Force Chaplain (Lt. Col) who retired after serving 20 years. He has served Presbyterian churches from Florida to Colorado and chose us because we are a church willing to be transformed, along with our pastor to seek to love God, show compassion and boldly follow Jesus. Michael loves to hike and take photographs of God’s amazing creation. Denise is a native of Mobile, Alabama who married Michael and has used her skills of writing and organizing to become an integral part of his ministry. She blogs about social justice and is tickled pink about becoming a resident of Carrollton. Denise and Michael have three grown sons who live in Chicago, IL and Mobile, AL as well as a tiny dog named Pixie that keeps them entertained. _______________________________________________________________ "If you would like...All are welcome to join our fellowship as we study, research,
discuss, and pray.” Disciple Fast Tracks will start its 3rd year of study on September 1, 2020. We will
meet virtually every Tuesday from 5:45-7:00 pm. The first 12 weeks are on the Old Testament prophets. The second 12 weeks are on the New Testament Letters of Paul.
