POSITION OVERVIEW

Job Purpose The role is responsible for providing operational marketing and communications support to the organisation and its business units by working proactively to develop, promote, implement and measure marketing and communication activities.

Program Area The role is part of the Marketing and Communications team, part of the Partnerships and Service Development program area.

Duties and Responsibilities The role will work with the Senior Manager Marketing and Communications and stakeholders to develop and implement marketing and communications plans and strategies for number of organisational brands. It will be responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing and measuring:

Position Description including service brochures, posters, flyers, advertisements, invitations, merchandise, gifts etc… as required

Digital marketing including social media activity and bulk emails

Media releases, newsletters and internal communications

Consumer/Client feedback reporting

Marketing calendar including organisation wide events, news, promotions, services and other organisations’ campaigns and community news and events

Promotional messaging and signage in public areas and external facades

Website maintenance, analysis, reporting and content management

Event coordination

Identification, set up, collect, collation and evaluation key information to ensure continuous improvement and market relevance of the organisation and its key brands. To include:

o Review and analysis of project and campaign effectiveness

o Key metricso Systems to keep relevant datao Implementation of data collection tools and

methodso Report on data and outcomeso Identification of marketing, communications

(and target audience) issues arising from datao Competitive information (where applicable)o Target market identification and segmentationo Key client and stakeholder insights from across

the whole of the organisation; Development communications channels specific to

supporting strategic fundraising plans, including (but not limited to) corporate sponsorship/partnership and donations strategies.

Position Description Qualifications Formal qualifications in Marketing or other business related

program, or equivalent experience

Experience Broad experience in marketing and communications roles with responsibilities for internal and external communications, branding, collateral development, coordinating marketing plans and campaigns, digital and social media and marketing related projects.

Skills Customer Focus - dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers; gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services; acts with customers in mind; establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.

Ability to achieve outcomes against operational objectives

Strong interpersonal, relationship management and negotiation skills

Managing time and priorities, setting timelines and coordinating tasks

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills

Project management skills Self-directed with ability to work autonomously and

as a member of a team Photography skills are desirable

Key Selection Criteria

Mandatory 1. Demonstrated experience in developing printed and digital outward and inward facing marketing material and communications including multiple social media platforms.

2. Proven ability to meet agreed targets and deadlines.3. Exceptional communication skills and a collaborative

manner in engaging with internal and external stakeholders.

4. Proven ability to take initiative, work independently and problem solve with creativity.

5. Comprehensive skills the use of software including use of Microsoft Office products; event management products including trybooking and event brite; and electronic direct mail, including use of mail chimp.

Position Description 6. Experience in website maintenance, reporting and

content management.

Desirable 1. Skills in graphic design, including use of Adobe Creative Suite.

2. Proven experience in the organisation of events and campaigns in order to ensure the organisation and its services are known widely in the community.

3. Experience in copywriting and/or preparation of media releases.

Requirements for all Carrington Health roles:

A Police Record Check and Working with Children Check will be required in accordance with government funding requirements and legislation.

All employees must provide 100 points of identification upon commencement. All employees must be permanent residents of Australia or hold a current, valid visa. A current Victorian Driver’s Licence (where driving is a component of the role) A probationary period of 6 months applies unless otherwise stipulated. All employees must abide by the organisations Policies & Procedures. All employees may be required to work across any of the organisations sites. All employees are required to take reasonable care for their own health and safety and that

of other employees who may be affected by their conduct. Carrington Health has a zero tolerance to bullying and harassment type behaviour.
