KEY CHANGES TO LIQUOR OFFERING
BEER OFFERING Overview Fun Cheap Cans Cans are hot right now, major appeal with Millennial drinkers. Aimed at value conscious buyers & FUN! Bottled Beer Listings OBJECTIVE: Targeted reduction of not in print beer and tied up $ in inventory. Strategy: Review the Brand standard list. There are only 3-4 deletes on any zone vs the Brand Standard however there are many not in print beers still in inventory in most stores. Review your own inventory list vs the brand standard. What items are you stocking incremental to the list?
o Look at the sales. Does it sell? If you’re moving a case a week then it was a good idea to bring it in. If it doesn’t sell then start taking steps to eliminate.
o Determine if it’s drinkable. In rare situations you may be forced to write the beer off and not serve. o Feature it. Get a button programmed, and sell through it. o Sell it to team members at cost. o In 90 days it is off your inventory.
*See Brand Standard Beer Listing document for all changes by region.
WINE LIST Overview
We have a few small changes to our wine lists:
Some wines have become unavailable
We took some measured price increases where we could, while maintaining great value
Less wines available in small markets (Ques, Vic, GP); less wines by the glass will improve quality of the remaining listing via shelf life
BC – more BC wine listings
Major cities – two great choices of old world wines at a great price point
Carafes are removed – wine is poured directly into glass
Please review these documents: - Summary of changes in Wine List attached – includes order codes, vendors, pricing, cost of sales,
new and deleted wines. - Updated Wine Posters are loaded on the Portal. Corporate locations receive laminated copies.

BAR INVENTORY BRAND STANDARDS OBJECTIVE: Targeted reduction of back bar clutter, and tied up $ in inventory. Strategy: Review the bar inventory brand standard list. There are 18 deleted items. Overall these are not core to our offering and won’t have a negative impact to sales. If you feel you should still carry an item (based on sales only) review with your regional and decide if you want to keep it. Review your own inventory list vs the brand standard. What items are you stocking incremental to the list?
o Does it sell? If you are moving a bottle/period then it was a good idea to bring it in. If not, start taking steps to eliminate.
o Can it be used up in the well? Vodka, whisky, rum, etc. o Dedicate it for use for promo shooters (if the taste profile works). o Sell it to team members at cost. o Create a one night cocktail around it. o Some are very challenging like a peaty scotch or specialty item, but leaving it on the back bar to continue
to collect dust isn’t an option. o In 90 days it is off your inventory.
There are only 3 new skus, one of which many stores already carry. *See Bar Brand Standards spreadsheet for full detail by region.
