SERWWO ACTIVITY REPORT-2016
SERWWO Adra is one of the very few Divisional
women welfare organization which is running 4 Schools,
2 Educational coaching centers, 5 canteens & 2
Grooming parlours. It works on voluntary basis to
support society, make them secured, self reliant &
educate the children of the economically backward
society, helping them in economic upliftment.
HEALTH CHECKUP CAMP
With an objective to keep the students healthy for the purpose of
their regular and effective studies, SERWO Organized health camp
regularly at Adra Public School with the participation of Railway
Doctors.
REPUBLIC DAY & INDEPENDENCE DAY
SERWWO members observed the Republic day and Independence day in a befitting manner in all schools run by SERWWO, and distributed Biscuits and Chocolates among all the students to create sense of patriotism amongst them.
Besides this, SERWWO members also visit hospitals and distribute Biscuits, fruits, towels etc, amongst the patients admitted there to remind them about the sanctity of our national festivals and having thirst for sympathy of well-wisher.
RENOVATED OF PHYSIOTHERAPY CLINIC
SERWWO/Adra is serving persistently for the cause of the society especially for the poor people of Railway establishment belonging to less income group. In this connection the SERWWO members not only provide education to the children, vocational training to the women but also helps the suffering people admitted in hospitals by providing modern equipments, so that the patients can get advantage from those equipments.
As part of a such services of SERWWO/Adra, has renovated one Physiotherapy Clinic at Railway Hospital and also provided one physiotherapy machine (Short wave Diathermy) for utilization to give relief to the patients suffering from various pains. Donated one Room Heater for needy Indoor patients of the Hospital.
WOMEN’S DAY
SERWWO Adra celebrated International Women‘s Day to
recognize meritorious and outstanding services put in by Women
employees of Adra Division. During the event, selected women
employees from different departments were presented with
attractive gifts and merit certificates. An educative talks on the
women’s empowerment, so that women may become self reliant
and undertake economic activities to support their family as well
as help society.
MAY DAY
International May Day recognises the role played by workers
and employees in the growth of an organization. SERWWO Adra
celebrated the same by recognizing the outstanding role played
by non-teaching workers at its various schools – Adra Public
School, Navjivan Vidyalaya, Mukul Bithi, Little Flower
School/Anara. And they ware felicitated by cash award.
INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY
International Yoga Day was celebrated by SERWWO along with
Officers and staff of Adra Division on 21.06.16 at SERSA Stadium/Adra.
Members of SERWWO participated with their families to highlight the
importance of Yoga to develops the purify body, and mind to its optimal
level. The Yoga relaxes stresses and tensions to lead a peaceful life.
VISIT St. VINCENT OLD AGE HOME
SERWWO Adra supports Old Age home run by St. Vincent at Adra.
Its Executive members visit the old age home regularly to interact with
the occupants, organize medical camps, distribute gifts and bring joy to
the old and destitute women. Such efforts make life of inmates
meaningful & joyful.
ON THE SPOT DRAWING/ PAINTING & ESSAY COMPETITION
SERWWO organized “on the Spot Drawing/Painting and Essay”
competition for the wards of railway men to further motivate the children in
the field of creativity. During this occasion attractive gift and biscuit packets
were given to every participant. Meritorious participant of Spot Drawing &
Painting competition are being selected at Zonal & Central level every year
from Adra Division.
TEACHERS DAY
Teachers Day was celebrated by SERWWO with great enthusiasm.
Teachers are presented beautiful cultural program and they ware
felicitated by SERWWO with cash award.
ANNUAL DAY & ANNUAL SPORTS of ADRA PUBLIC SCHOOL
Annual Day & Annual Sports was organized by SERWWO/Adra at
Adra Public School. The students of Adra Public School were presented
colorful cultural program in presence of Chief Guest & other officer’s.
Gifts & Merit Certificate were awarded by the Chief Guest to encourage
students of Adra Public School for their endeavour.
