His research interests center around the development and implementation of new MR and CT techniques with a focus on cardiovascular imaging. Dr. Leiner has served as faculty member and organizing committees at the following meetings: ISMRM ESMRMB, SCMR, ESCR, SCCT, ECR, RSNA, and at annual meetings of the Dutch Radiological Society. He will chair the Scientific Program Committee of the 2017 ESMRMB. Dr. Leiner has served on the Editorial Board of European Radiology and Dutch Medical Journal and currently is Associate Editor of both the JMRI and the JCMR. He has been special issue editor of three issues of Investigative Radiology on 3T imaging and an upcoming issue of Magnetic Resonance Materials in Physics, Biology and Medicine (MAGMA) on cardiovascular MR imaging. Dr.Leiner has served on the Board of Trustees of the ISMRM and is currently on the Board of Trustees of the SCMR. He is the author of over 250 original papers, review articles and book chapters as well as editor of several electronic radiology textbooks. Prof. James Moon James Moon trained at Oxford and Cambridge. He is Professor of Cardiology at UCL. He serves as the Clinical Director of Imaging at Barts Heart Centre, the largest cardiology hospital in Europe. He is the founder of the Chenies Mews Imaging Centre – which includes a total of 5 dedicated CMR scanners. He is the President of the British Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and was the program chair for EuroCMR 2017. His research interests are focused on myocardial imaging, in particular the discovery and translation of new imaging and biomarker techniques for diagnosing and monitoring disease. Areas of interest include fibrosis quantification with late gadolinium enhancement, T1 mapping and ECV, quantification of iron, amyloid and Fabrys, standardization with T1 phantoms, analytic techniques such as fractal analysis, faster, cheaper, easier CMR eg for developing countries. He is the author of more than 230 peer reviewed papers. Prof. Dudley Pennell Dudley Pennell is Professor of Cardiology at the National Heart and Lung Institute, Imperial College, London. He is also Director of the Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance (CMR) Unit, and Director of Non- Invasive Cardiology & Inherited Cardiac Conditions at Royal Brompton Hospital. His current research interests in CMR are: 1. measurement of myocardial iron and the assessment of chelation treatment, 2. the assessment and differentiation of cardiomyopathies, 3. diffusion tensor imaging of myocardial architecture He has published >500 research papers and holds a number of fellowships, including in 2014 to the Academy of Medical Sciences. Prof. Gianluca Pontone Gianluca Pontone graduated with honors in medicine in 1997 followed by post-graduate degree in cardiology and radiology at University of Milan in 2001 and 2006 respectively. He is currently director of Magnetic Resonance Imaging and deputy director of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography Unit of Centro Cardiologico Monzino where the University of Milan. He is currently in the board of directors of the SCCT, board member of ESCR, chairman of CT certification committee of European Association of Cardiovascular Imaging (EACVI) and chairman of working group of cardiac magnetic resonance of Italian society of cardiology. He is author of 164 papers in per reviewed journals, 5 scientific books, 368 scientific a abstracts and 205 lectures at national and international meetings in the field of cardiovascular imaging. Prof. Jeanette Schulz-Menger Jeanette Schulz-Menger is a cardiologist by training and active in CMR since 1996. She has a board certification in internal medicine and cardiology followed by board certification dedicated on CMR. She has a significant interest in imaging inflammatory disease, cardiomyopathies and noninvasive hemodymanics applying CMR and research at 7T. Since 2004 she is heading the Working Group Cardiac Magnetic Resonance at Charité Campus Buch. Furthermore, she established the department Non-Invasive Cardiac Imaging in the clinical environment. For research reasons she established a research outpatient department focusing on different kinds of cardiomyopathies. She owns a University-Professorship in Cardiology “Noninvasive Imaging focused on Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance”. The research of the group is focused on clinical topics including growing interests in MR-physics. That is based on collaboration with MR physicists world wide. Dr. Schulz-Menger has a high interest in CMR-teaching and helped to establish different courses as well as a CMR- network. Her group was able to publish more than 160 peer reviewed articles. She is an elected member of the faculty council of the Charite. Dr. Schulz-Menger is the Immediate Past President of SCMR. Ahe is the author of more than 140 peer reviewed papers.
