COMPETITION LOCATIONThe competition is scheduled to occur at Albarquel Park - setùoaì Bay.The running part will take piace on the pavement road of the park and the swimmingwill be in the open oceanoThe air temperature will be approximately 32-34°C andwater temperature will be approximately 17-18°C. COMPETITION CLOTHINGThe competition begins with a pack start, in which ali competitors gather at thestartinç line. No more than three competitors of one nation shall be standing in theFront row on the start line. The firing of a start gun commences the race. In case offalse start, a second start will be given. In case of a second false start, the respectiveathlete's start number will be called and the athlete will be penalized with 10 secondon the starting line.

Due to the run & swim format of the race, biathletes are required to compete wearingclothes that are tight fitting, yet comfortable during both running and swimming.Women should wear one or two pieces of clothing suitable for the entire race (swimsuit or sports bra). We ask that male competitors wear a tight fitting shirt "bolero"(Iycra t-shirt) to be worn while swimming and running. Ali biathletes must wear vestsidentifying their nation.Note to ali competitors that running shoes MUST be worn during the runningportion of the competition and must be removed for the swimming portionof the race.rIOTE: Running shoes must not be worn in the swim, but must be worn forboth runs.

START NUMBERSTraditional start number bibs or painted waterproof tattoos may be used during thec:ompetition. Biathle European Championships / UIPM World Cup 2013 - UIPMBiathletes from recognized Federations only.

I'orrn of Competition in each category and gender:L IndividuaiGold, Silver and Bronze medals will be given in each individuai category. The fastesttime will be declared the winner.There will be 2 separate classifications:

a) European Championships for European nations;b) World Cup Event for worldwide nations.

2. Team event competitionTeams of 3 are formed by comprising the highest placed 3 biathletes from the sameNatlon in each category and will have their times added together.The fastest time will be declared the winner.

lSiathletes/ Coaches Fees:Each competitor and Coach must pay a Fee of 45 Euros (€) (Entry Fee, Accreditation,Commemorative T-shirt and closing Gala Dinner Party).

ACCOMODATION+TRANSPORTLocal Organizing Committee (LOC) has for your convenience a two offer packagechoice that includes Accommodation+ Local Transportation (Lisbon InternationalAirport / Hotel of your choice / Lisbon International Airport).

Participants will be accommodated at Hotel (1) or Hotel (2). Please note on the EntryForm your first choice. The reservations will be on first come first serve basis.
