Logging On to the Mediatrix Unit Web Interface Information

Information

For better performances, it is recommended to use the latest available version of Microsoft Internet

Explorer, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Note: You may not be able to log on to the Management Interface if you are using older versions.

The computer's network card must be on the same subnet as the Mediatrix unit.

Steps

1) In your web browser, enter the IP address used by your Mediatrix unit to communicate with the

Management Interface.

If your computer is connected to the Ethernet port, commonly used to be connected to

the Local Area Network (LAN), i.e. Eth2 on most devices, use the 192.168.0.10 IP

address.

If your Mediatrix unit is configured to use a DHCP with IPv4, use the DHCP- provided IP

address.

2) Enter public as your username and leave the password field empty.

Note: The public username account has administrator rights.

Note: You can also use admin as a username and administrator as password.

3) Click Login.

Result

The Information page of the Management Interface is displayed.

Restoring the customized Panasonic_Telus.xml file from Your PC

Information

If you are not familiar with the meaning of the fields, click Show Help, located at the upper right corner of

the Web page, to display field description when hovering over the field name.

Steps

1) Go to Management > Backup / Restore.

2) If the Web pages are not encrypted (HTTPS), click Activate unsecure image transfer

through web browser, located at the top of the tables.

3) In the Transfer Images Through Web Browser table, browse to the location of the file you

wish to restore.

Note: The file name is case sensitive. Remember that a backup file cannot be restored on

an older firmware version than the one it was taken from.

4) Click Upload & Restore.

Note: A pop-up message will be displayed indicating that the unit will be automatically

restarted once the restore procedure is completed.

Result

The unit will be restarted. The customized template will be loaded from your PC, and used as the running

configuration. This completes the implementation of the SBC.

Conclusion

All tests met the expectations of all parties involved and although the above example may vary

with each customers network infrastructure requirements, the results should be the same.
