After news that a new chemical was acidentally released into the air, everything

started to change. Animals began to show abilities they've never had before and

started invading several cities. Many cities were abandonaed, most civilizations

had to rebuild themselves to survive the constant changing of the world around

them. The government began to crack down and makes sure everyone in their

respective cities is under their control, by constant advertisments to remind of their

power.

Tiffany Hwang, has no memories of how she arrived in the city labled as simply

the number Seventeen. What she does know is she was part of the goverment

project, that was supposed to make the subjects essentially into weapons. They

were injected with a similar chemical to the one, that was leaked. Leaving many

with powers you would only assume were fictional. Most of the subjects can not

control their abilities, and often become uncontrollable. Due to this they were done

away with, banished to the forest surround city Seventeen. Tiffany on the other

hand is one of the elite few that can control their abilities.

Seo Juhyun (commonly adressed as Seohyun) , is also one of the elites. She is the

leading brain behind the study as of now, she makes sure everyone stays within the

safety measures. she also has to ensure that none of the elites leak news of the

project to the public.

Jessica Jung, the leader of the elites. She keeps everyone in line, she makes sure

everyone is in control.

Control

Tiffany stood on the balcony of the Government building, that building also being

the tallest in the city probably to remind the citizens that they’re always looking

over. Tiffany was not anything to do with the government; instead she viewed

herself as a puppet that the leaders pull each and every way. The atmosphere

turned colder as Jessica approached Tiffany.

“Tiffany, we have to go on guard now” She said as simply as she could.

Jessica's cold behaviour mimicked her special ability given by the chemical

injected by the government. Tiffany slowly turned pointing her finger towards

Jessica, lighting the tip of her pointer finger on fire.

“Bang” She said smiling, trying to lighten Jessica's chilly mood. Jessica

was the one with the most control over her special ability, although whenever

something was wrong you knew she wasn’t focusing on hiding it. “What did

Seohyun say?” Tiffany leaned against the edge of the balcony.

“Her father wants us to bring one of them back. I don’t even know if

they’ll try to make into the city limits” Jessica groaned running her slender fingers

through her blonde hair. “Come on lets go, it’s just you and me tonight. The other

elites are watching their own sectors tonight” Jessica mumbled shoving her hands

in her jacket packets.

Tiffany and Jessica made their way to the forest on the east side of the city. Tiffany

felt her heart racing; her nerves were on high alert tonight. When they reached the

forest, they stood there readying themselves for whatever may happen. Tiffany

reached forward grabbing a branch of one of the nearby trees. She felt a sudden

gust of wind, her red hair moving slightly.

“Tiffany did you feel that?” Jessica said taking her hands from her

pockets; the wind began to pick up just as Tiffany’s heart felt like it was going to

burst. Before they had any time to react, Tiffany now found herself on the ground

and a strange man standing where she once did. Tiffany looked up making eye

contact with the man; he let out a little chuckle smiling as he approached her.

Jessica once realizing the situation put her power to good use. The ice forming in

front of their eyes is something Tiffany had still yet to get used to. Jessica grabbed

the sharp icicle she had created lunging towards the man; Tiffany closed her eyes

hating the next part. Tiffany has been a part of the elites for some time, she still

hasn’t witnessed any death, nor has she been a part of it.

“God, Tiffany. Seriously this is enough I understood when it was the first

month but it’s been a year! Pull yourself together; this is why we’re here. You

could be one of the, those monsters. Do your job, and be glad you had a chance to

survive” Jessica glared. Tiffany felt chills spread over her body, as she looked

away from Jessica and the body. “Seohyun, we got one. Let’s get this guy out of

here before anyone starts questioning.”

Back at the lab once Seohyun had received the body, she began to start her test.

Seohyun was the daughter of the president. Although being the president’s

daughter didn’t make her exempt from also being a part of the project. She feels

the distance from her father now, deep inside she knows she is viewed just as he

views the ones that have been banished. Seohyun shook the thought of her father

viewing her as a monster off, but she knew she was only lying to herself. She

looked at the data she had collected from the deceased man, what could her father

possibly want from this? She sighed placing the data into a folder, waiting for a

government official to pick it up. Seohyun was the brain behind the elites, this was

mostly due to the face her power wasn't physical it was very much internal. The

secret to Seohyun’s IQ is her photographic memory that has greatly been improved

by the injections. Now all she needs to do is look at a page for a mere second

before storing the information forever. There also is the added bonus of her ability

to enter into people’s minds. Although her power can’t cause harm to people, it

seems to be the only one people really get harmed over. She often finds herself

pushed away because people fear her wandering through their thoughts and

memories.

“Excuse me your father sent me to retrieve the data he requested”

Seohyun looked over towards the entrance to her lab. There stood a woman

probably around the same age as her, whatever age that was. Ever since the

injections, no one around her remembers much about their lives. The only reason

Seohyun knows she’s the daughter of the president is because he passed the news

to her.

“Ahh yes” Seohyun passed the folder to the woman. “May I ask what

your name is? I usually know all of the officials working here, but you must be

new” She hardly even blinked as she focused on not entering the woman’s mind.

“Im Yoona, nice too meet you” I can’t believe I’m working with the

monsters. Seohyun had let her guard down allowing her to hear Yoona’s actual

thoughts. Seohyun blinked before being a bit spiteful, entering into Yoona’s mind

to try to find out more. “Well I’ll get going then” Weirdo. Yoona left like that

leaving Seohyun alone, and that’s just how she liked it.

Seohyun called a meeting of the elites, and left Jessica to make sure they gathered.

As the elites entered the room Seohyun clenched her fists trying not to break her

promise to everyone in the room.

“What did you have to say Seo” Jessica mumbled chewing on her gum.

Tiffany stood in the corner, still afraid of almost everyone in the room.

“My father would like us all to undergo testing, before you ask I must

say I have no clue as to why.” Seohyun smiled lightly trying to ease everyone into

the idea of more tests. Tiffany felt herself stiffen; last time during testing Tiffany

lost four days. She has no clue what happened those four days, but those four days

don’t scare her as much as the life time before now she doesn’t remember.

Seohyun took a step back hearing everyone’s complaints inside her head; she had

just broken her promises. “The testing will be done over the next few days on your

own accord, make sure you make time to see me in the lab. Officials will be

coming in and making sure this job gets done, you all should go get some rest

now” The rest of the angry elites left, leaving Jessica and Seohyun alone.

“We can’t keep pushing them”

“I know”

“Control is all we have.”

“The sad thing is this control is what they want us to view as freedom”

Seohyun said walking back to her lab, where she could let her brain rest.

Ice Princess

Tiffany plopped down on bed after the eventful day, her red hair spread on the

pillow. She stared at the white ceiling, imagining all the things that could cover the

blank space. She put her hand up into the air, lighting each finger on fire. Fire was

soothing for her, she pretty well can validate that she would have be a fire bug in

the past. Tiffany made everyone feel warm, whether it was due to her power or just

her tender nature no one really could decide. Jessica walked into the room,

groaning to the heat that hit her body. It didn’t take much to make Jessica feel

overwhelmed by warmth; she walked over clasping her hand on top of Tiffany’s.

“Stop please” Please was a rare word for Jessica to say, mostly because

she was cold literally and figuratively. Jessica walked into the washroom having

enough pressure for one day, just sighed as she slipped into a nice ice bath. Jessica

was the opposite of Tiffany, the cold calmed her. Jessica felt her hair tickle her

neck as more fell into the water, sometimes Jessica wonders what her hair would

like if the injections hadn't effected it, althought she does think the blonde suits

her. She smiled to herself has she traced her finger on the water, she paused for a

moment realising nothing felt like liquid anymore. She looked down to see her

encased in her own ice, she groaned as she tried to pry herself away.

“Tiffany” She yelled weakly embarrassed of the situation she now found

herself in. Tiffany walked in nervously wondering what Jessica could possibly

want her for. “Melt me please” Jessica rolled her eyes as she avoids eye contact

with Tiffany. Jessica was supposed to have the most control over her powers; she

was supposed to be the good example for the others she led. The only one who

ever saw these weaknesses was Tiffany, they figured out early on that Tiffany and

Jessica needed each other. They evened each other out, and if they were together

there was no way they could lose control. Tiffany carefully returned the ice back to

water, looking away as she passed a towel to Jessica.

“Thank you Tiff and I’m sorry about today. Everything has just been

crazy and now with more tests” Jessica sighed, as she secured the towel around

her.

“It’s okay no worries, you are right I really need to start pulling my

weight. Everything is just hard for me; you’ve been here longer than I have. I’m

just glad I didn’t have to go through this alone like all the others, and I had

someone who is really like my sister with me” Tiffany smiled, she truly felt as

though Jessica was her sister even though the other wouldn’t say out loud she felt

the same.

Seohyun stared at her own test results, and rememberd the man who she had just

tested. She sighed trying to figure out what made them so different from her; even

someone like Seohyun couldn’t even tell the difference at least on a molecular

level.

“Seo Juhyun, is that right?” Seohyun closed her file, focusing her

attention on the voice.

“Seohyun if you will, what would you like Yoona” Seohyun said sliding

her glasses back into the right place. Does she actually think she’s human? Acting

as if I need to give her respect – “Yoona?” Seohyun said having enough of Yoona

judgemental thoughts.

“I’m here to make sure the tests get done, your father said I will be able

to use whatever force necessary” Yoona said pulling out package from her pocket.

Seohyun has seen those packages before, they were sedatives.

“I assure you it won’t be necessary, I’ve already run my own tests. I

must say though the results came out inconclusive, I’m not entirely sure what he’s

searching for”

“I think it’s safe to say, we all know the answer here”

“I’m sorry if I sound like I’m disrespecting you, but what makes you

think the answer is so obvious. I assure you I’ve studied every test that’s been

taken in this lab, before and after I came in charge”

“Don’t play dumb, it’s to make sure the public is still safe from the likes

of you” Yoona said looking out the lab door, disgusted. Seohyun broke her rule,

and invade into Yoona’s mind. Seohyun pictured things when she entered into

people’s minds, thoughts were one thing but memories were entirely different.

Seohyun saw a door into a memory and took the opportunity to invade Yoona’s

privacy. Yoona sat on a chair in what seemed to be a living room, a girl walked in

with a smile on her face. As the scene progressed Seohyun has found what she

needed, Yoona had gone too far insulting everyone she cared for.

“I think it’s safe to say I am not the uneducated one, you on the other

hand. Your girlfriend seems to have done a great job of cheating on you hasn’t

she” Seohyun stayed stone faced, as Yoona walked into Seohyun’s personal space.

“Seohyun, what’s wrong you’re not one to be spiteful or mean” Jessica

walked in angered by the normally innocent Seohyun’s actions. Seohyun backed

away from Yoona removing her glasses; she closed her eyes searching for why she

allowed herself to succumb to such immature actions.

“I apologize for my immaturity Yoona, I’ll be certain it won’t happen

again” Seohyun sighed, looking back towards the two girls. “Jessica please escort

Yoona to the room we prepared for when the Official arrived for testing this

week.”

Jessica walked silently with the girl she was assuming was called Yoona. She

opened the door allowing Yoona to walk into the room; she heard a sigh from the

girl.

“I’m sorry about Seohyun, she’s honestly the most level headed person

you’ll meet here”

“I don’t plan on meeting anymore people like you” Yoona said gesturing

for Jessica to walk out. Jessica stood outside the room shocked; it didn’t take her

long to know why the normally calm Seohyun had snapped.

Jessica snuck outside to enjoy the cold winter air, she breathed in finally allowing

her to relax. The elites weren’t allowed in public for fear of exposing the truth of

the government. That’s why the elites were in place really to stop the other injected

people from coming in sight after being banished. Jessica was knocked from her

thoughts as she felt something hard in front of her.

“Oh I’m so sorry” The hard figure said before Jessica fully grasped the

situation for what actually was happening.

“Oh no it’s probably my fault, I’m not used to these crowded places”

Jessica immediately scolded herself for saying that, if she lived in the city of

course she would be used to all these people.

“Yeah I stay inside too, especially during the winter months” Luckily the

lady didn’t question what Jessica said. “Oh I’m Kwon Yuri by the way” She

smiled offering her hand to Jessica; Jessica took the hand lightly shaking it.

“Jessica Jung”

“Wow you’re freezing, you should really get inside”

“No I’m alright; I don’t really mind the cold actually”

“So you’re some what of an Ice Princess” Yuri said clearly trying to

make the other girl smile. Jessica frowned a little to herself.

“I suppose that’s one way to say it… Again I’m sorry for running into

you but I really should get going”

“Hey ice princess, do you have a phone number?” Yuri smiled trying to

be charming. Jessica felt her hands getting colder; clearly she was nervous about

this Yuri character.

“Sorry” Jessica said dashing away, trying to get away as fast as she

could. Yuri stood their dumbfounded; she had never met a girl like Jessica. She

shivered as she continued on her path back to her house.

“I hate the cold” She breathed out watching as the Ice Princess blurred

from sight.

Losing Control

President Seo sat in his office reading over the results his daughter had taken. He

sighed leaving back in his chair; he clenched his fist trying to control his anger.

The results had come up perfectly normal; he knew that all his work could fall

apart if anyone ever came across this. The elites wouldn’t function if they knew

they were the same as the people they had to kill. He slammed his fist on his desk

hoping Juhyun hadn’t tested many people by now; he picked up the phone advising

his assistant to call off the testing. He stood up from his chair walking over to the

window, looking down on the city. How would the population react if they ever

found the news of the government project? How would the elites react when they

know the truth of why they’re still here? He tucked his hand in his pocket, pulling

out a single bullet he keeps in his pocket as a reminder. He viewed himself as a

gun and his control was his bullet. He could tear anyone down, and you better

know he could make you disappear. He stared at the bullet rolling it around in his

hands; he remembered quite well how he had got the bullet.

A young President Seo stood anxiously in his new lab, it was one of his first weeks

as the president and he wanted to make a lasting impression. His first ruling was

something that everyone would love to have, and only movies had ever created

before. He wanted his army to be super human, that way his power could build.

After the news of the chemical leak when he was a boy, he always dreamed of

leading the weak people that allowed it to happen. He passed the papers to the lab

technician, with a smirk on his face.

“I hope you will meet my requests, this nation will be powerful again.

Seventeen will be the leading city of the nation” He laughed looking towards the

new computers. “One day” he said leaving the technician. The lab worked night

and day trying to come up with the right chemical concoction, once it finally

happened president Seo became over joyed. In his joy he left his good thoughts

behind, he didn’t care of the risks this may cause to the people. He quickly ordered

the study to be done, and if no one would volunteer he was ready to send the

officials to collect. Many were children stolen from their families, and some were

teenagers that lacked sense. President Seo even sacrificed his own daughter for his

selfish needs, but he saw no harm in the deed. After the injections were done

several had died off, and those who lasted the month dealt with severe bouts of

anger and pain. The powers were tested daily; the needles they received were

endless. President Seo even recalls when a young red haired girl cursed him for

being a tyrant. He laughed at everyone’s criticism he was the President after all,

and he knew once his army was put in place they would have to respect him. Then

the final day of testing everything turned around for him the new army that he

wanted so bad had turned on him in one of the bouts of anger. One thousand elites

charged the officials desperate for freedom from the harsh treatment. The officials

brought their weapons to the fight, many elites died in the battle. As the young Seo

stepped into the area where the attack took place he saw a single bullet on the

floor, he picked it up chuckling shoving it in his pocket. The elites that didn’t die

or didn’t even go through with the attack were shipped off into the surrounding

woods. He expected them to starve or better yet kill each other, but that wasn’t the

case. That’s when he sent out for them to pick up a hand full from the woods, and

he made sure they were young at that.

President Seo laughs thinking about the past; he placed the bullet back into his

pocket.

“Sir, Juhyun would like to speak with you” His assistant had come back

after relaying the message.

“I suppose I should talk to the thing” He grumbled as he took off towards

the guarded section of the building. There he saw Juhyun waiting patiently for him

to enter into the elite’s home.

“Father, I’m just wondering as to why you’d cancel the testing after

being so adamant about them being done.”

“Juhyun, you’re not here to know anything. You’re here to do as I

advise, as is everyone in this city. Without me you wouldn’t be here, you should be

thankful I keep you and this city alive” He said turning on his cocky attitude.

“Father, I’m sorry I even thought to question your better judgement”

“Juhyun, who said you, could call me that. I am President to you; you

lost the right to be my daughter.” He said looking into Seohyun’s eyes. Seohyun

smiled bowed to the president and walked off back into her faithful lab. She felt

the tears slide down her cheeks, as she sat in her chair. She looked towards her

screen, and swiped her finger across it deleting all the files she had taken that day.

She tried to hold in the tears but they just continued to fall.

“Seohyun” She heard a stern voice, she just slouched more in her chair

not wanting anyone to see her tears. “Thanks for putting the room together for me

last night, I will be leaving now that the testing has been called off” That’s when

she knew it was Yoona. Doesn’t even have the decency to look at me, doesn’t she

know I’m in charge of her. Seohyun stood from her chair walking up towards

Yoona.

“I would enjoy it very much if you would leave, don’t thank me you

should thank yourself after all you’re in control of me right? You do everything the

President wants, and you think you’re entitled to assume you’re better than me? Oh

would you like me to thank you for the freedom you all have given us? The

freedom that keeps us encaged in this building. I believe you need a brain to even

begin to fathom what I’ve been through to allow you to have your comfy job as the

officials, I didn’t choose to be like this nor did most of us in the elites.” Seohyun

spilled out all the words she could fit in before breaking down some more. Yoona

stood shocked, feeling sorry for her thoughts. Just leave, please leave, Yoona

stepped back hearing the voice in her head. Seohyun looked up at Yoona, “Did I

just enter your mind, I’m sorry. That’s never happened before I can’t speak in

people’s minds; it’s not something I can do. I can’t do this, what’s happening”

Seohyun began to panic; she felt her head lighten up. She knew she was about to

faint, she grabbed Yoona’s wrist as she lost consciousness. Seohyun had been

forced into a corner, and simply lost control.

Attacked

Tiffany sighed as she got up from her bed; she noticed Jessica wasn’t sleeping

which was weird considering how early it was in the afternoon. She ran her fingers

through her hair, tying it up lightly just to keep it out of her face. She yawned as

she stumbled towards Seohyun’s lab; she peeked into the lab and stopped as she

saw a strange woman with Seohyun. Seohyun was asleep in her chair; well the

other woman was sprawled out on the floor. Tiffany smiled and her slightly puffy

eyes almost closed. She rubbed her eyes and sighed knowing they were swollen

from lack of sleep.

The night before Seohyun had fainted into the arms of Yoona, Yoona thought

quickly placing Seohyun on the chair. The faint girl soon opened her eyes, only for

her to break down into tears. Seohyun was breaking, and she knew no one could

know of her lost control.

“What happened?” Yoon asked genuinely concerned.

“Nothing, just my power sometimes gets to me. Although I do in some

ways have the weakest” Seohyun thought to herself, she knew of course Yoona

had to know of the special abilities to be working with the elites.

“That’s why were different” Yoona sighed saying this lightly not

wanting to make Seohyun worse. Seohyun cried nodding her head; she had now

accepted that she was a monster. Seohyun remembered the first time she went out

with Jessica, and watched the kill. Her brain could hardly handle the thought of

killing them, before now she never thought of them as the same. Now her thoughts

have been twisted, she knows she deserves to end up like all the other banished

elites that dare to step foot into the city. She wanted to die. “They told me how

dangerous you all were. The things you do, and the things you’ve done” Yoona

clenched her teeth. “All the deaths the elites have caused, that’s not human is it?”

“An eye for an eye” Seohyun stared into Yoona, Yoona unclenched her

teeth feeling as though Seohyun’s eyes were reading into her soul. Her eyes were

so clear, almost like Yoona could sense the caring nature Seohyun possessed.

“What do you mean?”

“What did they tell you we did?”

“They briefed me about what happened during the attacks, how brutal

you all were. You had no compassion, no fear, and definitely no control. They told

me of the death of the vice president at the time, how one of you made sure he

couldn’t speak anymore” Yoona shut her eyes trying not to imagine the details of

how they could have done this.

“Kill me, as I have killed all them. Torture me as the monster you see

me.” Seohyun whispered standing from the chair. Yoona grabbed Seohyun’s hand

stopping her from going anywhere.

“I may see you as a monster, but I am not one” Yoona pushed Seohyun

back down to the chair. Yoona took Seohyun’s hand and mustered up a smile “I’ll

be honest tonight, so don’t read my mind. Okay?”

Tiffany continued to stumble down the hallway to the meeting room where she

found Jessica finally.

“Tiffany, could you sit for a bit please.” Jessica said avoiding Tiffany.

“What do you want Jessi” Tiffany smiled poking Jessica’s hand as she

sat at the table.

“You’re on your on tonight, it has already been ordered. Were all

protecting our own different sectors” Jessica continued to look at her paper; she

growled slightly rolling it into a ball. She frozen the paper ball to such a

temperature as she threw it against the wall it shattered. “Were dead” She muttered

to herself. Tiffany sat in shock; she got up from the table not wanting to hear

anymore. As she exited the meeting room she stopped clenching her fists holding

in her tears. Tiffany felt her body heat up; she then felt a sudden tap on her

shoulder.

“Ow jeez Tiffany keep control of your heat” Jisoo smiled towards

Tiffany. Jisoo was one of the twins his brother being Jisuk, He was known for his

charming attitude and his sudden entrances. “I just wanted to say good luck

tonight; you know we all have your back!” He smiled as he suddenly left the

building. Tiffany sighed feeling herself at ease, sometimes Tiffany was jealous of

everyone else’s powers. Imagine being Jisoo being able to teleport around at ease,

or even Jisuk his speed was unreal. The person Tiffany was most jealous of was

Seohyun, she didn’t have to deal with all the death. Tiffany began to ready herself

for tonight; she prayed nothing would happen during her time alone.

Jessica sighed as she looked around the city, she hated sneaky around but it was

the only way to get into the winter air. She smiled as the light flurries hit her face,

she sighed looking for a place to sit down. She saw a nice little café, and smiled

walking into the store. She looked at the menu looking for something colder to

drink, once she decided she walked towards the cashier.

“Oh hey there Ice Princess” Jessica looked and saw the annoying Yuri

girl. “Let me guess, you want one of our special smoothies” Yuri winked hoping

she had got it right.

“Uh yeah” Jessica smiled slightly feeling awkward. She pointed to the

one she wanted, and Yuri smiled.

“Alright, go take a seat and I’ll bring it to you in a minute.”

“How much?”

“Nothing, all you have to do is sit and talk to me” Yuri smiled, as Jessica

nodded and walked to a table in the corner. Jessica sat their anxiously going over

in her head what not to say to the human girl. “Here you go~!” Yuri chirped as she

sat down in front of Jessica, sliding the smoothie over towards her.

“Thanks, its actually really good” Jessica said taking another sip as Yuri

sat with a proud smile on her face. “I can’t stay for long, I have an appointment

tonight” Jessica applauded herself for the lie.

“Okay okay, how about you come eat lunch with me tomorrow? Does

one sound okay?” Yuri smiled standing up from the table.

“That’s a little early” Jessica groaned, scratching her head.

“Early?”

“Yeah don’t you ever sleep?”

“Well of course I do”

“Clearly not” Jessica scoffed, then regretting her decision to get angry

over waking up. Why would a normal person not be up by one?

“So you’re sleeping beauty now” Yuri said trying to be smooth, Jessica

choked on her smoothie. “Alright, see you then princess” Yuri smiled going back

to work.

“YA” Jessica yelled after her.

Tiffany crossed her arms as she waited near the woods; she was early for her shift

to start. She walked up to a tree breaking a branch off; she smiled as she exercised

her power burning the branch to ash. She giggled happy she could know control it

as much as she good, she felt she could finally make everyone proud. Tiffany

started to hum to pass the time as the night goes darker; she passed back in forth

through her area she had to protect. She heard a noise from the woods; she turned

to face the direction the noise came from. She felt a hand cover her mouth pulling

her towards the forest. She was pinned against a free, the hand still covering her

mouth. She clenched her eyes not wanting to see her attacker; she began to try to

heat her body up. The attacker jumped back being quiet and Tiffany fell to the

ground in shock.

“It’s okay I won’t hurt you” She heard a female voice; Tiffany felt hand

on her cheek. Tiffany opened her clenched eyes, looking upon the girl. The girl had

a cute face, and bangs that slightly parted. Tiffany could tell she was taller than the

girl, she began to think how she could overtake her but her body wasn’t

cooperating. “I’m Kim Taeyeon, please stay quiet I will be back in a minute.

Please, promise you’ll stay.” Taeyeon’s eyes begged Tiffany; Tiffany nodded still

unable to get over the shock. Taeyeon smiled slightly as she began to fade away.

Hot

Tiffany peeked from behind the tree after hearing voices. She looked to where she

was once standing and now there was a group of people, they started arguing about

something. Tiffany wanted to run, but everything was holding her back. Could she

trust Taeyeon? Taeyeon then reappeared in front of the group of people.

“God Taeyeon you need to warn us when you go invisible” A guy lifted

a hand as if he was going to hit Taeyeon but quickly retrieved it. “There all

separated tonight, it could be a trap” He sighed, the rest of the group you could tell

was in deep thought. Taeyeon looked towards the woods worried they might catch

onto to her hidden friend.

“It could be I don’t think we should go in for supplies tonight. Tomorrow

should be safer, as far as we all know the plan is for me to sneak in.” Taeyeon said

trying to sound confident. “Thanks for showing me around tonight, this is my first

time out from the camp. I’m really looking forward to being able to help” Taeyeon

lied; clearly she hated the idea of putting herself in danger. The tall woman from

the group stood in front of Taeyeon crossing her arms.

“Taeng you’re brave” She said ruffling her hair, and then gestured for the

rest of the group to follow her back to camp. Taeyeon finally let out a deep breath;

she turned on her invisibility just in case anyone was watching. Taeyeon

reappeared in front of the still shocked Tiffany.

“You’re safe now. Thank you for not killing me as well” Taeyeon smiled

a big grin; Tiffany had no choice but to return as she started feeling more at ease.

“You’re hot” Taeyeon thought aloud, then realized how bad that sounded. “No I

mean like, you’re physically hot. I mean of course you’re hot, like pretty hot. But

like yeah, no.” Taeyeon quickly turned invisible in shame. Tiffany laughed finally

gaining the courage to stand up.

“You should get out of here before my friends come looking for me, and

if I could give you advice. Stay at that camp you mentioned, don’t come out to face

us. I promise you it won’t end well” Tiffany said as she began to walk off.

“Wait what’s your name hot girl” Taeyeon stayed invisible.

“Tiffany Hwang” Tiffany waved to the air hoping Taeyeon was there,

how could they be considered monsters?

Taeyeon walked back to camp with a smile on her face thinking of the red haired

Tiffany, there the tall girl popped in front of her again.

“Ahh Sooyoung, I’m the one with invisibility. But you’re better at it than

me” Taeyeon said holding on to her heart.

“Are you sure you can go tomorrow, I know it’s a lot to ask. You’ve

never gone outside of camp, but if we ever want to gain the freedom we must all

fight.” Sooyoung smiled lightly. “Promise not to get into trouble, remember no

matter what they’ll kill you” Taeyeon thought as Sooyoung finished, if they always

killed them, why didn’t Tiffany kill her.

Seohyun was working on how to improve the weapons for the officials, going over

all the results. She felt Yoona stir by her feet; Yoona had been sleeping all day.

“Good morning Official” Seohyun said mechanically continuing to go

through the results; she closed the files on her computer as Yoona stood from the

floor. Yoona coughed trying to regain her cool attitude; Seohyun looked at the

tired official. She reached her arm towards Yoona fixing the mess that was

Yoona’s hair. Yoona stood their awkwardly, trying not to think too much she

didn’t want Seohyun reading her mind.

“I should get going; it seems I’ve stayed more than intended.” Yoona

said as she shoved her hands in her pockets. Seohyun nodded her head as a

goodbye gesture returning to her work, Yoona hated the silence Seohyun was

giving.

“Seohyun, here if you want call me.” Yoona said placing a card in front

of the still silent Seohyun.

“Yoona I’m positive that’s not part of your duty”

“Well my duty is to keep you in control. So when you feel the control

slipping call” Yoona finally smiled genuinely. As much as Yoona disliked the

monster the elites were, she still didn’t want to see them die. Seohyun was also a

special case to her, no matter what Seohyun had been told she stayed nice and

Yoona happened to admire that. Yoona walked out of the elites section of the

building as another official waved her over.

“Im Yoona, you’ve spent lots of times with the elites. Little monsters

aren’t they?” The girl laughed taking a sip of her coffee.

“Sure” Yoona sighed, dismissing herself from the conversation.

“Hey Yoona, you do know there’s a meeting with the President today”

The girl yelled after her, Yoona stopped in her tracks.

Yoona sat in the room with all the other officials awaiting the arrival of President

Seo. He walked in with a smile on his face; Yoona could sense something wasn’t

right.

“Welcome my controllers” President Seo chuckled lightly, as he sat in

front of them all. “The elites that we have in the building watch them. With the

new election going on I don’t need any trouble, although we all know I’ll be re-

elected who would dare run against me?” He paused letting everyone understand

that this would be a serious matter. “I’ll just get down to the point; we have plans

of terminating the elite project. One of the subjects working in the lab there is

creating the weapon to do this; she doesn’t know what will come of it though.

Keep this from them, I suppose you could say they’re aiding in their demise. You

all know the damage they have caused; they’ve killed your fellow officials. I must

tell you if they weren’t locked away, you would be dead to. They are unstoppable

killing force, but we all know who can finally put an end to the terror. I trust you to

follow through with your duties, and when more information comes in my assistant

will direct it to you” President Seo stood up, leaving the officials. Yoona looked

towards the door the President had just exited, does that mean what Seohyun has

been working on will be the ending of them. It took Yoona by surprize when she

felt herself worry for the girl from the lab.

“For monsters they sure seem more human” Yoona whispered trying to

gather her thoughts.

What To Do.

Jessica woke up and rolled over to see the clock, it was now 12:49. Jessica yawned

wondering what she was forgetting. Then she remembered Yuri wanted to meet at

one, and Jessica was nowhere near ready. She jumped from bed startling the

sleeping Tiffany.

“What is happening, are we fighting. Is there a fight already” Tiffany sat

up her eyes still closed; Jessica laughed not thinking about how Tiffany said

‘already’.

“Go back to sleep, I just have to go somewhere” Jessica gave Tiffany a

motherly smile, and ran towards the bathroom to clean herself up a little. After

Jessica quickly threw on some clothes she ran towards the Café. She entered the

café and saw Yuri sitting in the same table they had previously sat in, Yuri looked

a little panicked. Jessica sat in front of Yuri smiling awkwardly not knowing what

to say. “Sorry” she mumbled fixing her hair from the run she had just taken. Yuri

had dressed for the occasion Jessica could tell, her hair was straight and her outfit

was nice a clean. Whereas Jessica was wearing jeans and a baggy shirt she had

found.

“Don’t worry about it.” Yuri smiled feeling awkward now herself. “Did

you just wake up?” Yuri asked noticing Jessica’s sleepy eyes.

“Kind of” Jessica tapped the table nervously, as Yuri chuckled. “So why

did you want to hang out?” Jessica asked bluntly.

“Well I thought maybe sense you liked the cold, you could teach me how

in the world someone could have fun in the freezing cold” Yuri smiled trying to get

a reaction from Jessica.

“What did you have in mind” Jessica sighed.

“Why don’t we go skating?”

“I never have gone”

“Well I guess I can teach you”

“How will taking me make you like the cold if you have to work?”

“Because you’re there” Yuri smiled slightly as Jessica got up from the

table.

“Well aren’t we going?” Jessica said trying to get away from the strange

Yuri.

They arrived at the skating rink, and Yuri was helping Jessica put on her skates.

Jessica began to get a little anxious wondering if anyone would catch on to her

leaving the building. Yuri grabbed Jessica’s hands helping her to her feet and

leading her towards the ice. Yuri had a smile plastered on her face the whole time;

she slid in front of Jessica. Jessica stood completely still on the ice not wanting to

fall. Yuri laughed at the clearly afraid Jessica, she reached out her hand and Jessica

gladly took it.

“Just do what I do” Yuri said helping Jessica get to a wall so she could

hold herself to watch Yuri. Yuri demonstrated how to skate, although she wasn’t

the best either. She cursed herself for choosing such a cold destination as he hands

now felt like the ice they skated on. Jessica nodded understanding what to do, and

she tried. It seemed that Jessica was a natural and in no time was up to Yuri’s

speed.

“This is actually fun” Jessica smiled looking towards Yuri; Yuri was

shocked by the beautiful girl in front of her and somehow managed to fall on her

butt. Jessica giggled even more skating away from the now embarrassed girl.

“Still so cold” Yuri mumbled, getting up chasing after Jessica.

Tiffany sat up in her bed as she heard a panic from the lab down the hallway. She

ran into the lab to see Seohyun staring at the computer in horror.

“What’s wrong?” Tiffany yelled as she walked towards Seohyun.

Seohyun placed a finger on Tiffany’s lips to silence her. The wide eyed Tiffany

stood there confused as Seohyun picked up the phone dialing a number that was on

a card.

“Yes Yoona, I need your help.” Seohyun hung up without waiting for a

reply; she knew that it was a long shot too call Yoona. “Tiffany has anything weird

happened lately” Seohyun said as she picked up her glasses. Tiffany shook her

head still confused as to what’s going. “They called saying someone is in the city

limits” Seohyun said blankly as Yoona rushed into the lab.

“Seohyun what did you want?” Yoona asked a little annoyed.

“Do you know anything about the girl?”

“What are you talking about?”

“The girl my father is planning to kill, she snuck in on the east of the

city. She has invisibility” Seohyun said. Tiffany’s eyes widened, they had already

entered into the city.

“Seohyun you know I can’t say anything.”

“They’re testing the weapons I made on her; I know you don’t want

death to come to anyone. We may be viewed as monsters, but why hasn’t the

president told us he hired us to get rid of them”

“Seohyun”

“Tiffany go get Jessica, I’m going into the city to help tonight. Yoona go

tell your head advisers that there is no new weapons, I’ve destroyed all my files on

them and all the prototypes” Seohyun slid her glasses on her face. Seohyun threw

her lab coat on her chair, leaving the lab.

Tiffany ran down the street trying to find signs of the girl she had met last night.

She had warned her, why she wouldn’t listen. Tiffany saw Jessica approaching her

with a strange girl.

“Tiffany why are you out here” The blonde said as she saw the panic in

Tiffany’s eyes.

“Seohyun came out too, there’s a problem at home” Tiffany was better at

lying than Jessica, the red haired Tiffany looked towards the strange girl. “Who’s

this?”

“Oh I’m Kwon Yuri” Yuri smiled offering her hand to Tiffany. Tiffany

looked at her hand, and then continued on with Jessica.

“Jessica we need to find our cousin” Tiffany lied again hoping Jessica

would catch on, and it seemed she did. Jessica turned to Yuri saying something in a

hurry and left running in a different direction than Tiffany. Tiffany continued down

the road until she felt a tug on her arm that pulled her into an ally. She looked

around for someone but no one was there, then Taeyeon appeared in front of her

with tears in her eyes.

“They’re going to kill me right?” Taeyeon said trying to suck up her

tears, Tiffany grabbed Taeyeon’s hand.

“I know a place they would never think to find you, stay invisible.”

Tiffany smiled at the still very distraught Taeyeon. Tiffany ran as fast as she could

still feeling Taeyeon’s hand in hers, Tiffany finally stopped running. Taeyeon

looked up, only to see the government building what was Tiffany thinking.

Locked Away

Tiffany paced around her room trying to think of how they were going to get

Taeyeon back safely. Taeyeon sat on Tiffany’s bed exhausted from all the use of

her power. Taeyeon looked to Tiffany and felt safe with her, Taeyeon grinned

thinking about how Tiffany had saved her.

“Why didn’t you kill me” Taeyeon asked thinking aloud.

“I think the government is planning something” Tiffany said as she

scratched her head. Taeyeon loved the way Tiffany’s red hair was always perfect,

even when the other girl thought it was messy. Tiffany snapped her fingers causing

a spark which startled Taeyeon. “Maybe they don’t want us to know because

you’re one of us? But that makes no sense we’ve killed you guy’s before” Tiffany

messed up her hair, and Taeyeon began to think too. Just then Jessica entered the

room, noticing the girl sitting on Tiffany’s bed. Jessica created a sharp piece of ice

holding it up for the girl to see.

“Tiffany why did you bring her here?” Jessica glared at Taeyeon.

“Jessi drop the weapon, she saved me the other night. She’s not used to

this; there are more important things to worry about. Like how I think more people

Taeyeon lives with are going to invade, also what is up with the government not

telling us” Tiffany said trying to change Jessica mind into thinking smartly about

the situation.

“Who’s Taeyeon” Jessica never failed to miss the important parts of a

sentence.

“That’s Taeyeon” Tiffany yelled pointing towards the now confused

Taeyeon. Jessica looked at Taeyeon confused as to what power the girl might have,

Tiffany took this time to melt the ice in Jessicas hand. “Taeyeon this is Jessica,

she’ll help you if you promise to make the others call off the attack.” Tiffany

pleaded with Taeyeon. Taeyeon knew the attack should not go through but it was

going to be hard to convince the others of this.

“What power do you have” Jessica asked still stuck on that thought,

Taeyeon faded away shocking Jessica.

“Jessica you lead Taeyeon back to the forest. You will protect her more

than I can, I’ll go find Seohyun and tell her about the plan.” Tiffany said, as Jessica

rolled her eyes and agreed. “Thanks Jessi.”

Soehyun ran down the street trying to find sign of the girl, she didn’t want the girl

to come to death by the officials she knew how cruel they would treat her. Yoona

grabbed Seohyun’s wrist, turning her around.

“Stop, the officials are all over this city if they find you. You know you

will die too” Yoona said seriously. Seohyun please don’t cause your own death.

Seohyun let her power slip hearing the worries of Yoona, by now Seohyun

accepted her death but it didn’t seem right ending it like this. Yoona felt a hand on

her shoulder as she looked and found a higher up standing with a proud smile.

“Good job Im the president will be proud of you” He smiled at Yoona, as

two more officials grabbed Seohyun’s arm. Yoona looked at Seohyun hoping she

didn’t misunderstand this situation. Seohyun let a tear escape, she needed to stop

being so trusting.

They threw Seohyun into an enclosed room with on single light. Seohyun now had

a cut on her forehead from someone whacking her head off the doorframe to get

her into the room. She groaned in pain as she heard the door open again, and there

she saw the man who shared her blood.

“You dare to defy me? You wouldn’t even be alive if it wasn’t for me,

and you won’t be alive for long. Trust me when I say the weapon you’ve been will

be recovered, and the end of all you monsters will come.” He smiled at Seohyun.

“I’ve gotten rid of the files”

“Trust me when I say I’m smarter than intrusting all the work on you”

He smiled as he walked towards the terrified girl. Seohyun was great at never

showing her emotions, so she tried to keep her strong body language. “Goodbye”

He laughed slapping her across her cheek, Seohyun stayed in the same spot

shocked. “Your friends death is on your head” He slammed the door as he walked

out. Her worst fears had been true; he was planning on eliminating the elites. The

worst of knowing this, was she could help or do anything.

Explain

Yoona stood still in the same place thinking over what to do; she wasn’t sure what

was right. All she had been told was how terrible the elites were, but now she had a

hard time believing anything. All she knew was her chest felt heavy at the sight of

Seohyun being dragged off. Yoona ran towards the direction of the government

building hoping she would reach there to warn the others about Seohyun, and what

might happen to them. She saw a red haired girl running towards her, Yoona stuck

out her arm to stop the girl in her tracks. Tiffany felt something hit her chest,

automatically triggering her heat the arm pulled away as Tiffany heard someone

wince in pain.

“You’re Yoona right!?” tiffany asked clearly still panicked from the

whole ordeal with Taeyeon. Yoona held her arm which now was burnt; Tiffany

had managed to go through her jacket. “Oh my, I’m sorry” Tiffany pouted hoping

Yoona wouldn’t hate her.

“They have Seohyun, I don’t know where they could have taken her. I

want you to try to get all of the elites out of the city.” Yoona warned, she couldn’t

give too much information away as she still had to be loyal to her job.

“What, why would they capture her”

“You can’t ask questions, because I can’t give answers”

“I swear to god if you hurt her, or anyone of you hurt her” Tiffany said

clenching her teeth, she turned away running to where she knew Jessica was taking

Taeyeon. Tiffany knew she had to try to get everyone out of there, she knew

Seohyun would find a way to protect herself in the meantime.

Jessica walked Taeyeon to the edge of the woods, looking over her shoulder every

five minutes to see if anyone was following.

“You know what to do, right kid?” Jessica crossed her arms.

“I’m not a kid. I just haven’t been out in the field that much” Taeyeon

scratched her neck, Taeyeon sensed someone coming. All of a sudden a random

tree began to approach them, Taeyeon looked at Jessica. Jessica raised her

eyebrow, was she dreaming? The tree all a sudden transformed into Taeyeon’s

long-time pal Sooyoung.

“Sooyoung!” Taeyeon yelled with a smile. Sooyoung patted Taeyeon’s head

clearly making light of the height difference.

“Shape shifter?” Jessica slightly tilted her head to the right studying

Sooyoung. Sooyoung looked at the girl who had just spoken confused.

“Who are you?”

“Jessica Jung” Jessica said glaring towards the tall girl. Jessica waved to

Taeyeon and rolled her eyes as she walked off she had done what Tiffany had

asked of her.

Tiffany made it too the woods where she thought they might be, she looked around

seeing if she may have missed them. It seems Jessica was a little faster than

Tiffany gave her credit for. Tiffany took a deep breath as she took her first step in

the forest; she closed her eyes steadying herself as she ventured further.

“Who are you, and why is your hair like that” She heard a male voice

and stopped in her tracks.

“She’s one of the one of the elites” Another one yelled, she felt many

people circle in on her. She closed her eyes trying to think of what to say, as she

felt a sharp pain on the side of her head.

Taeyeon turned to Sooyoung when they reached the camp.

“We can’t go through with the attack” Taeyeon said trying to sound

serious but I suppose it just came off as weak.

“Taeyeon we all know you’re scared but seriously, we all need this. You

know we can’t go on foraging for food and what about our safety? Are we safe?

Just waiting for them to kill us?” Sooyoung sighed running her hand through her

hair.

“Sooyoung I think Taeyeon is right” Taeyeon looked towards her friend

Hyoyeon. Hyoyeon was the closest person to Taeyeon, they always have been and

she part of the reason Taeyeon has never been out in the conflicts.

“So you’re both ganging up on me?”

“Sooyoung, we captured one of the elites” One of the other girls in their

camp yelled out as they saw the red hair being dragged into the middle of them.

The banished people began to surround the girl crowding together just to catch a

glimpse of her.

“Tiffany” Taeyeon looked towards the girl, suddenly feeling brave as she

pushed the guys away from the beautiful girl. Taeyeon held Tiffany up, and faced

Sooyoung. “This is why we can’t do it, because we’re not them. Trust me they’re

not even what we think they are, it’s the government” Taeyeon yelled fed up with

all the violence that day, she walked Tiffany over to her home. Tiffany winced in

pain as she entered the little shack, Taeyeon sat her on the slightly uncomfortable

bed but it was the best she had. Taeyeon smiled at Tiffany moving her hair away

from her face.

“Taeyeon” Tiffany tried to smile, but ended up crying as she did so.

Taeyeon nodded and smiled back and began to look for bandages. “You saved me

again” Tiffany laughed as she wiped her tears.

“Don’t worry I think we are even by now” Taeyeon smiled brightly,

pulling out the bandage and wiggled it in front of Tiffany. Tiffany giggled at the

girl trying to cheer her up allowing her to place the bandage on the wound on her

forehead. “You might have black eye, but over all I think you’ll live” Taeyeon

poked her nose immediately cursing herself for the action.

“Why do you have all this medical equipment in your house?” Tiffany

asked looking around to remove the awkward atmosphere.

“Oh part of the reason I’ve never been involved in the fights is, well I

guess I’m the resident doctor in the camp” Taeyeon smiled putting away the

garbage.

Jessica walked down the street unaware of the danger that was around. She saw

Yuri’s café and knew she should apologize for earlier. She opened the door

walking towards the counter greeted by a shorter girl.

“Hello I’m Sunny, I’m server for today!” she said excitedly causing

Jessica to cringe.

“Hi, is Yuri here?”

“Yup just one second~!” She smiled and quickly ran to get Yuri. Yuri

came out with flour on her face, and god knows what on her clothing. She blushed

seeing Jessica, she walked over trying to look semi presentable now.

“Hey princess” she smiled looking down at her feet. Jessica laughed

looking at the messy Yuri.

“I’m sorry about earlier, just a lot of issues” She smiled lightly tempted

to wipe the flour of Yuri’s cheek.

“Would you like to help me make some pastries for the shop?” Yuri

asked pointing towards the kitchen; Jessica smiled following Yuri into the kitchen.

Yuri smiled at Jessica passing her a bowl with a spoon in it. “Our mixer broke, I

suppose you’ll have to be it” She winked leaving Jessica to try to mix the dough.

Jessica struggled trying to mix it; she felt a hand on hers and looked up see Yuri.

Yuri smiled at her as they worked together to mix the tough dough.

“YURI” Sunny yelled running into the kitchen.

“What” Yuri yelled jumping away from Jessica, Jessica giggled at the

antics.

“There are men here, they’re asking if Jessica Jung is here and they

showed me a picture of your friend” Sunny asked. Jessica thought to herself

wondering why they’d be after her, she looked towards Yuri with a worried face.

“I’ll be right there” Yuri smiled. “Jessica I’m assuming something’s

wrong. Explain after I get rid of them.” Yuri smiled walking out. Jessica panicked

she wondered why all this was happening, everything should be fine Taeyeon was

out of the city they did what they were supposed to. Jessica crouched to the floor,

running her hands through her hair. Yuri walked back into the kitchen looking at

Jessica on the floor; she crouched in front of her.

“They’re gone, now tell me why government officials are looking for

you”

Hiding.

Seohyun sat in the corner waiting what she knew would come; she felt it was her

time. The door creaked open and a familiar head popped in.

“Seohyun” Yoona said with wide eyes seeing the bruises that showed on

Seohyun’s skin. Seohyun tried to stand up, thinking it was her turn to be

terminated. “Come with me” Yoona said grabbing Seohyun’s hand lightly leading

her from the room. Seohyun was only wearing a t-shirt and pants, Yoona placed

her jacket on Seohyun. Seohyun began to get confused as the hurriedly exited the

building. “Try to cover your face the best you can” Yoona whispered as she

continued to lead Seohyun. Seohyun did as she was told, was Yoona actually

saving her? They arrived at a small apartment, Yoona opened the door ushering

Seohyun inside. Seohyun sat on the couch trying to warm up from the cold, as

Yoona ran to start some warm coffee.

“Yoona, why did you bring me here” Seohyun finally spoke as Yoona

passed her a cup of coffee. Yoona sighed thinking to herself of course Seohyun

remember her promise to Yoona.

“They killed everyone else.” Yoona said looking at Seohyun. Seohyun

nodded seeming almost like a robot now.

“Can’t I die with them?”

“I’d rather you not.”

“Why not, you do view me as the same”

“Do I?”

“That’s what you said before”

“Seohyun you’re smarter than that”

“Jessica and Tiffany…” Seohyun muttered. Yoona put her coffee on the

table sitting next to Seohyun.

“Missing” Yoona said simply looking at Seohyun hoping that news

would ease her worries.

“How long was I locked away?”

“Two days now.” Yoona leaned back on the couch. “Stay here for now

okay?” Yoona sighed wondering why she even got involved in all this in the first

place. Seohyun sat back with her coffee leaning like Yoona.

Yuri had taken Jessica home after the whole event. Jessica woke up in a strange

room; she shot up from bed walking out of the room. She smiled as she saw a

messy Yuri sprawled out on the couch. Jessica coughed loudly trying to wake the

girl up. Yuri rolled off the couch and mumbled something and she waved her hand

into the air.

“Thank you for last night.” Jessica said walking over to Yuri who finally

got off the floor.

“You never said why they were looking for you” She pouted rubbing her

eyes trying to fully wake up.

“You wouldn’t believe me, plus you know I might have to kill you if I

did” Yuri smiled thinking it was a joke, but Jessica actually said it kind of

seriously.

“Tell me Sica”

“Sica?”

“Shhhh it’s not important, so now tell me” Yuri said placing a finger on

Jessica’s lips.

“I suppose you could say my friends and I work for the government.

Special project if you may” Jessica said casually walking into Yuri’s kitchen trying

to change the subject. Yuri smiled walking after Jessica playfully hitting her on the

shoulder.

“Hey no food until you tell me” Yuri smiled trying to fix her messy hair.

Jessica smiled helping Yuri fix her hair.

“I’m cold” Jessica shrugged hoping Yuri wouldn’t understand exactly

what she was sharing. Of course Yuri didn’t because shortly after Jessica felt arms

wrap around her waist.

“I’ll warm you”

Taeyeon woke up immediately feeling the pain in her neck; she held her neck as

she got up from the small chair. She looked at the sleeping Tiffany who was spread

crossed her bed, she grunted jealous of how comfortable she must be.

“It’s not polite to stare” Tiffany said rolling over smiling towards the

frozen Taeyeon.

“Staring? At you?”

“Why not I’m hot right?”

“Pffft hot” Taeyeon said as she began to laugh loudly.

“Taeyeon stop drooling at the poor girl, you were staring at her all

night.” Hyoyeon entered Taeyeon’s room tapping Taeyeon on the shoulder.

Taeyeon just stared at the girl, as she faded away in embarrassment.

“Don’t worry about her, she’s still there” Hyoyeon said taking a look at

Tiffany’s wounds. Hyoyeon smiled as she stuck out her arm to touch Tiffany’s

face she stopped before she made contact. “Don’t burn me like you burnt the

others” She smiled as she continued to touch the wound; Tiffany felt a light tickle

as the wounds fade. Hyoyeon smiled to herself “I never get tired of that”.

“Taeyeon, something’s wrong” Tiffany remember yesterday’s events

shooting up from the bed.

“What’s wrong” Taeyeon asked concerned coming back into view.

“The government, they’re planning something. They took one of us,

someone special to me. I was coming to warn you and Jessica, but it seems Jessica

didn’t take you all the way to your camp with you like I asked.” Tiffany pushed her

hair away from her face pushing through Hyoyeon and Taeyeon to reach outside.

“I’m going to go warn them, thank you for everything. Well despite the abuse from

those idiots” Tiffany glared at the people staring at her from the camp.

“Well if it’s dangerous you can’t leave” Taeyeon said grabbing Tiffany’s

hand. Tiffany froze at the touch from Taeyeon, she felt safe in the hands of

Taeyeon. Although Taeyeon wasn’t the bravest of people, she was caring.

“I agree with Taeyeon” Sooyoung said as she walked over towards the

red head. “If what you say is true than this means we’re at danger now too?”

Sooyoung said leaning on Taeyeon. Taeyeon glared up at the girl taking a step

closer to Tiffany.

“I think we all are, Yoona wouldn’t tell me much.”

“Yoona”

“She’s one of the officials that was part of the team that watched us, she

was there when a friend of mine was taken in” Tiffany tried to explain.

“Before we do anything, we need to come up with a well thought out

plan. Meaning you fiery young girl, need to just sit and wait until we know more”

Sooyoung said trying to maintain her leadership. Tiffany sighed knowing she was

right; she squeezed Taeyeon’s hand that was still in hers.

What Is Going On

Taeyeon took Tiffany for a walk into the forest, Taeyeon felt exploring was

something that made her calm. Taeyeon smiled as she picked up a stick and poked

Tiffany lightly trying to lighten up the mood. Tiffany smiled lighting the tip of the

stick on fire; Taeyeon smiled and blew the flame out.

“So do you think it’s actually a serious situation” Taeyeon sighed

throwing the stick. Tiffany leaned against a tree, looking towards the tops of the

threes.

“Seohyun is the president’s daughter. But it seems all of us around are

sensing something terrible. That includes that tall thing” Tiffany said waving her

hand trying to think of the girls name.

“Yeah Sooyoung is a little much, but she does have good sense” Taeyeon

leaned on the other side of the tree. “So what’s it like in the city normally? You

know without being hunted?” Taeyeon smiled to herself as she let her arms hang

down at her sides.

“It’s really nothing special. You would assume it would be great, but

really it’s just a confined as where you live. Sometimes it’s hard to even breathe

without someone trying to tell you how do that.” Tiffany sighed crossing her arms.

“All I’m saying is, if I could find a place where I had rights to do as I pleased with

the people I wanted around. I would feel as though I’d died and gone to heaven”

“I know how you feel it’s like that here.” Taeyeon said looking up

towards the darkening sky she could barely see through the trees. “But hey I know

I belong somewhere, and if I belong somewhere you belong in the best places”

Taeyeon said although she realized how confusing the line she said was. Taeyeon

wasn’t used to conversing with people; she only ever talked with Sooyoung and

Hyoyeon. She was often bullied for her ability, they considered her useless. In a

way Taeyeon actually started feeling useless, and then she met Tiffany. How could

someone so useless save the life of someone who had the ability to burn people at

the touch. Taeyeon found herself thinking how Tiffany’s ability reflected her

personality; Tiffany had a fire in her. But that left Taeyeon confused, if the abilities

reflected personalities does that mean Taeyeon was destined to be hidden alone.

“What are you thinking about Taeyeon?”

“You, me, everything” Taeyeon said biting her lip still thinking what her

ability meant for her.

“You and I?” Tiffany asked clearly confused by the girls sentence, or

maybe she was just looking for answers where there was none.

“Your ability it has meaning, or at least the way I see it. In the little time

I’ve known you I’ve seen you use it maybe once in play, I’ve also seen the fire in

your personality.” Taeyeon said smiling to herself as she pictured the girl that was

behind her. “You can also feel the warmth from you, no not physically. I can tell

you’re caring, even when you shouldn’t be.” As Tiffany listened to Taeyeon speak

she let her arms fall to her side. “All of that is true for you, and it’s truly a beautiful

thought when it comes together. But for me, does this mean I’m destined to be

invisible.” Taeyeon sighed. Tiffany closed her eyes thinking to herself, she smiled

as she thought of a plan.

“Even when someone can’t see you, you’re always there. If they really

care, they’ll always find you and hold on tight” Tiffany blushed as she swung her

arm back lightly brushing her fingers against Taeyeons. Taeyeon blushed at the

words and the sudden contact but aided Tiffany in holding hands.

Jessica sat awkwardly still at Yuri’s house, after the quiet breakfast Yuri left for

work. Jessica scratched her head trying to think why she was still here; she got up

walking over to the door. The door opened and there stood a very frantic Yuri.

“Hide” She whispered, Jessica stood confused. Yuri pushed her towards

the bed room, just as the front door opened again. Jessica shot into the bed room,

and sat in the closet. She cursed herself for the very obvious hiding spot.

“We’re very sorry to be inconveniencing you, but as we explained before

there is evidence you know of Jessica Jung” Jessica heard a female voice say.

“Ah yes I’ve ran into her a few times, I don’t really know her that well

though?” Yuri tried lying, as she crossed her arms awkwardly.

“Do you mind if I look around the house” The man said, Jessica

stiffened.

“Why don’t you wait outside, this is a girls house you can’t go snooping

into the things” The woman hit the man opening the door for him to leave. “Go see

if they found any more information on the other girls.” The door closed telling

Jessica the man had left.

“Now Kwon Yuri, thank you for keeping her safe. Jessica come out” The

girl said as Yuri stood in front of her.

“I don’t know what you mean; you’ve threatened me two days in a row

for something I don’t even know”

“It’s okay Yuri, don’t get involved” Jessica looked at the official

recognizing her. “You’re the one that was rude to Seohyun… uh Yoona right?”

Jessica walked towards Yoona, staying slightly behind Yuri. Yoona nodded as she

moved Yuri out of the way gently.

“Jessica this is a lot to take in, everyone else is dead. I have Seohyun

with me; I can’t tell you much other than those facts. This is me warning you to go

into hiding; I can’t do much to stop this. I’m just allowing you to have a head

start.”

“What are you going to do with Seohyun”

“She’s safe don’t worry”

“Oh god what about Tiffany, is she dead too?”

“Still missing but the odds are yes” Yoona said turning away from the

now emotional Jessica. Yuri stood in shocked, what had she just got involved in.

“Excuse me, but what the hell is going on.”

War

“Well that’s a little hard to explain” Jessica smiled fiddling with her fingers.

Yoona sighed and walked to the fridge grabbing a bottle of water. She looked at

Yuri and shook the bottle, and then pointed at Jessica. Jessica clenched her eyes

poking the bottle freezing the water inside.

“Are we clear now?” Yoona said turning her attention back to Jessica.

“I’ll let you know more about Seohyun when I can. I’ll also keep you posted about

news on Tiffany.” Yoona waved as she slammed the door behind her. Yuri held the

bottle in her hand still staring in disbelief.

“I hate the cold” Yuri muttered, and Jessica looked towards to fiddling

hands. “But I guess I like it” Yuri smiled placing the water bottle on the table.

“What do you mean?”

“You’re, I can’t even believe I’m going to say this. You’re ice aren’t

you? Well not that you’re a block of ice I mean you like freeze things. I swear I’m

dreaming” Yuri ran her fingers through her hair thinking about what she just saw.

“Explain?” She said tucking her hand in her pocket.

“What I know is I’m part of a government experiment you could say

went wrong. They gave us injections to become these human weapons, but

everything backfired and most of us have a hard time with control.”

“Most?”

“There were a handful of us taken from the banished subjects, we’re

called the elites. Actually we all were the elites at one point, but that’s not

important. Trust me when I say there’s many of us, and you’re government does a

good job of making sure no one see’s us”

“So what you’re like a super hero” Yuri tried to hide her chuckle.

“You shouldn’t joke with someone who could kill you” Jessica said

making a shard of ice. Yuri backed up now confused as to why Jessica was acting

like this. “Of course I’m not one who likes killing, but seriously this isn’t a joke”

Jessica smiled still worried about Tiffany.

“You’re awfully calm for someone who just learned of their friends

dying” Yuri reached out to touch Jessica’s shoulder.

“Well I am the ice princess”

“And I think I’m starting to like that” Yuri smiled grabbing Jessica’s

hand. “You can stay with me, on one condition. You’re honest when people might

possibly want to kill me?” Jessica nodded her head in agreement, even though Yuri

had nothing special to protect them she felt safe with her.

Yoona walked in the door being greeted by Seohyun holding a knife, Yoona ran to

Seohyun taking the knife from her.

“What are you doing?” Yoona yelled, at the clearly distraught Seohyun.

“I thought I heard officials earlier, sorry I didn’t mean to scare you”

Seohyun said taking the knife back and placing it on the counter. Seohyun sat on

the couch looking at Yoona, Yoona walked to the kitchen and began cooking.

“I saw Jessica today” She said trying not to make a big deal of it but she

secretly hoped Seohyun smiled. Seohyun jumped from the couch running to

Yoona’s side, she poked Yoona’s arm. Yoona focused back on putting together the

meal.

“Thank you Yoona” Seohyun said trying to get Yoona’s attention, Yoona

looked away from Seohyun trying not to show a smile. “Yoona look at me, I’ll

read you mind” Seohyun threatened. Yoona looked at her, and smiled wiping sauce

on her face. Seohyun pulled her head away pouting a bit, wiping the sauce off her

face. “She’s fine isn’t she?” Seohyun looked at Yoona’s smiling face and knew she

was fine. Seohuyn knew Yoona couldn’t speak much of the business she did, but

she was very thankful Yoona was looking out for her.

“She’s with this girl from the coffee shop down the street from the

government building, I’m not sure if you’ve ever been there.” Yoona realised she

said too much. She placed a finger on her mouth telling Seohyun to stay quiet.

Seohyun smiled a little looping her arm in Yoona’s watching her cook. Ever since

Yoona had taken her in she was always by the girl’s side. Yoona didn’t mind this

at all; in fact she had a hard time keeping in her happiness. Yoona knew that

helping the girl was wrong, and allowing the emotions to grow strong was even

worse. But she also felt as though this was the right thing to do, she was going to

help Seohyun in any way she can.

After supper Seohyun offered the clean the dishes, Seohyun made a face as she

was scrubbing the plate.

“Why haven’t you cleaned in forever?”

“Who cleans?” Yoona winked as she walked into the kitchen. Yoona

heard a knock on the door, as Seohyun jumped away from the dishes.

“Yoona it’s your friends from the government” Seohyun whispered as

Yoona thought to herself. “Where can I hide, they’re going to come in soon”

Seohyun said reading their minds, Yoona smiled in amazement to how strong

Seohyun’s power was. She pushed down on Seohyun shoulder, and opened a

cupboard door.

“Sorry” Yoona smiled as she pushed Seohyun into the cramped space.

Yoona answer the door with a dorky smile as she replayed the image of the girl

crammed in the cupboard.

“Im Yoona, were just about the hit the clubs we know you love them”

“I don’t love them that much, anyway I don’t think I can the new

assignment I’ve been working on is just so tiresome” Yoona complained adding a

yawn for good measure. They all pestered her some more but she just laughed it

off trying to keep them from entering.

“You don’t mind if I get a drink do you?” One of the officials said

walking into the kitchen. Seohyun tensed up in the cupboard holding her breath.

“As long as you leave right afterwards, I’m serious I need to do well on

this assignment” They all sighed as Yoona took a deep breath staring at the

cupboard. After the one finished their drink, Seohyun let out a breath. Yoona

chuckled at the lame jokes they made about her being no fun as she walked them

back to the door. Yoona slammed the door shut running towards the cupboard

Seohyun was in, Seohyun shot from the cupboard wrapping her arms around

Yoona.

“There’s a spider in the cupboard” She said with zero emotions. Yoona

made a face as she let go of Seohyun and geared up to go to war with the spider.

New Way To Hide

Tiffany woke up walking into the center of the camp where she saw Taeyeon.

Taeyeon waved like a dork at the approaching Tiffany, and left the group she was

talking with.

“Morning” Taeyeon smiled looking down at her hands.

“Morning, you left early this morning” Tiffany said smiling brightly.

“Yeah I promised I would help Sooyoung with getting lookouts set up”

Taeyeon said as she fixed her hair, feeling awkward.

“Taeyeon I really need to ask something”

“Sure what is it?”

“Would you mind not telling anyone where I’m going?” Tiffany asked as

she grabbed Taeyeon’s hand walking away from where all the people were.

“Tiffany you can’t go back in there if what you think is right.” Taeyeon

tried to convince Tiffany.

“Well I have to go see if they know anything more, I need to know how

my friends are” Tiffany said getting angry. “You won’t be able to stop me; I’m

going because I can’t sit here and not know what’s going on anymore”

“I’ll go”

“What”

“I’ll go, I can be invisible I’ll try to hold out longer than last time.”

Tiffany sighed as she looked at Taeyeon.

“Taeyeon”

“So you stay here, I’ll be back. I’ll look for the Ice one; I know what she

looks like.” Taeyeon said grabbing Tiffany’s hand.

“No one is going anywhere.” Hyoyeon walked over to the two girls.

Taeyeon pulled her hand away from Tiffany as Hyoyeon smiled. “Unless you’re

going back into Taeyeons house, in that case I’ll keep my distance for a few hours”

Hyoyeon winked at Taeyeon as she walked over taking both girls by the hand.

“I’m not going anywhere I’m going to check on my friends” Tiffany said

pulling her hand away. Tiffany was angry she was done with all this worry, she

had to know what was going on and she needed to know now.

“I swore I never would use my healing powers for bad, but hey when you

need to induce a coma you can’t really argue” Hyoyeon smiled placing a hand on

Tiffany’s shoulder. Taeyeon watched as the red head drifted to sleep, Hyoyeon

looked at the confused girl. “Well are you going to carry her or not?”

“Are you just going to stay in the back of the kitchen all day” Yuri said walking

into her cafés kitchen. Jessica nodded as she began to snack on some of the pastries

Yuri had made. Yuri wagged her finger at Jessica as she walked over taking the

pastry from her. She took a bite, and smiled at how well she did at making it.

“So you can eat it, but I can’t?” Jessica groaned leaning against the wall.

“Plus it’s not safe to be out in the open” Jessica stole the pastry back, enjoying it

some more.

“Well at least you’re here with me. Now that I know everything, I’m not

sure if I’ll let you out of my sight” Yuri smiled taking the last bite of the pastry

from Jessica hand. Jessica made a face wiping her slightly messy hand on Yuri’s

shirt.

“Where else would I go?” Jessica shrugged walking closer to Yuri trying

to tease her.

“Well” Yuri thought getting nervous as Jessica got closer to her.

“Places?” She smiled awkwardly hoping that was a good answer.

“Well right now I’m going to get another pastry” Jessica smiled as she

leaned against Yuri reaching the pastries on the counter behind her. Yuri held her

breath as she felt Jessica body against hers, she finally exhaled when she saw

Jessica’s face in front of hers. Yuri chuckled making fun of her own reaction;

Jessica stood confused but still stuffed her face. Yuri smiled ruffling Jessica’s hair

going back out to serve customers. Sunny smiled as she saw the smiling Yuri

walking towards the counter.

“So you really like her don’t you?” She nudged Yuri as she winked. Yuri

just smiled and nodded, as she made a coffee for a customer.

“Look at you all shy and stuff, she’s done a number on the charming

Kwon Yuri” Sunny smiled, she looked over and saw Jessica standing behind Yuri.

She widened her eyes, and laughed as she went to give customers their orders.

Yuri turned around wondering why Sunny was acting so weird, there she saw

Jessica. Every time she found herself looking at Jessica she just stood in awe,

words stopped forming correct sentences and everything just stopped.

“I just came to get a drink.” Jessica said pointing towards the cold drink

fridge that was behind the counter. She rushed passed Yuri and began looking for

the right drink. Yuri closed her eyes wondering how she could become such a

dorky person. She leaned against the counter looking out at the customers trying to

avoid contact with Jessica. She made eye contact with Sunny and saw her doing

some weird action towards the door. Yuri turned and saw the official that was with

the girl Jessica had called Yoona the other night. Jessica stood up unaware of the

danger; Yuri grabbed her wrist turning Jessica around. Jessica looked at Yuri

confused; Yuri leaned forward gently placing her lips on Jessica’s. Jessica’s eyes

widened wondering why this dork was kissing her; Yuri placed her hands on

Jessica waist. Yuri turned them to make sure the official wouldn’t catch any angle

of the blonde’s face. Sunny walked up to the official trying to make small talk, she

smiled awkwardly as she saw Yuri’s attempt at hiding Jessica.

“Is your boss here? We’d like to speak with her again” The man said,

Sunny smiled and shook her head thinking how much Yuri owes her for this.

“Well as you can see I’m the only one working” She gestured to the

couple who was still awkwardly locking lips. “If you’d like I can give you a call

when she’s around?” Sunny smiled as the man gave her card with the number.

Yuri pulled away from Jessica expecting some slap or some kind of bodily harm.

Her hands still rested on Jessica’s waist, Jessica smiled at dark haired girl.

“Well that’s definitely a way to hide”

Long Night

Tiffany woke up looking at a worried Taeyeon’s face. Taeyeon smiled lightly

sitting on the edge of the bed; Tiffany sat up holding her head. She tucked her hair

behind her ear trying to recall the events that led to her being back at Taeyeon’s

house.

“Asshole” Tiffany muttered under her breath as she was hit the memory

of what happened. Taeyeon frowned even though she knew Tiffany would have

this kind of reaction it still hurt a little. Tiffany pushed Taeyeon back so she could

stand up out of bed. Taeyeon got up grabbing Tiffany’s hand, she thought of what

to say but nothing came. Tiffany stared at Taeyeon’s expression, she looked lost

and that made Tiffany more upset than she was already.

“I’m sorry. I couldn’t stop her, they’ll probably keep us watched for

now. I’m truly sorry I really want to help you. I know how hard it has been for you,

and it doesn’t feel good to see you like that. I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I’m sorry”

Taeyeon blurted out, Tiffany giggled now realizing just how bad Taeyeon was at

conversing.

“I forgive you, I’m sorry. I know I can be a little out of hand; I’ll try to

be a little more patient. Now this morning explain to me what you meant by look

outs?”

“Well we thought maybe if we could see them approaching or even see

who’s coming close to the end of the city limits. We would have so more

information on how to have more of a strategy.” Taeyeon said as she sat back

down on her bed, pulling Tiffany with her. The door opened and Taeyeon looked

over to see a smirking Hyoyeon with her hands on her hips.

“Taking her to bed already Taeyeon” Hyoyeon winked as she walked

closer, Taeyeon let go off Tiffany’s hand. She felt her face heat up as she went

invisible right away; Tiffany looked towards the door watching it slam. “Don’t

mind her she’ll be back. Anyway so about earlier I’m sorry, but you’re unstoppable

when you get an idea in your head” Hyoyeon crossed her arms looking around

Taeyeons room.

“Yeah I know, I guess you can say I’m ‘hot headed’” Tiffany sighed at

her lame joke. Hyoyeon looked at the red head, Tiffany felt Hyoyeon’s judging

look as she began to laugh.

“Seohyun” Yoona walked into the bedroom of her apartment looking to

find the girl who normally greeted her when she arrived. There she saw Seohyun

sleeping silently, Yoona smiled silently to herself this is the first time she has seen

Seohyun sleep since Yoona brought her here. Yoona walked over to the sleeping

girl, closing the blinds that were shining the little sun light that was left in the day.

Yoona pulled the blanket up to cover most of the girl’s body, Seohyun shifted a bit

as she felt the blanket was being moved.

“Yoona” She sat up looking at the other girl. She fixed her hair noticing

she had fallen asleep, Yoona laughed at the girl as she reached to help her fix her

hair. Seohyun’s face began to flush a little as she felt embarrassment, why was she

acting like this.

“It’s okay don’t worry, you should be sleeping” Yoona smiled as she

threw her jacket on the chair in the corner. Seohyun played with the edge of the

blanket as she began to think over her actions. Yoona began to change out of her

work clothes thinking Seohyun had gone back down to rest. Seohyun’s eyes

wandered over to Yoona, Seohyun laid down rolling over so her back was facing

Yoona. She clenched her eyes as she tried to forget that memory but she knew she

would never be able to. She covered her head with the blanket; Yoona chuckled as

she saw the blanket cover her face. “Do you mind if I sleep on the bed tonight, the

couch has been killing my back” Yoona asked, Seohyun nodded her head rolling

the other away avoiding Yoona again. Yoona smiled to herself enjoying the bed

she missed over the last few days.

Seohyun opened her eyes remembering what happened the previous night; she

rolled over facing the sleeping Yoona’s face. Seohyun studied the sleeping girls

face, how did Yoona even end up becoming an official. She hardly seemed tough

when Seohyun saw her right now Yoona looked so calm and innocent. Seohyun

yawned trying to cover her mouth.

“Morning breath” Yoona said scrunching up her face. Seohyun looked

too who she thought was a sleeping girl, but was very much an awake girl. Yoona

yawned herself and Seohyun made the same face Yoona had just made.

“Not like yours is minty fresh” Seohyun said trying to calm herself as

she sat up fixing her hair. “So you should probably get up, or you’ll be late for

work” Seohyun said as she began to get out of bed. Yoona grabbed her arm pulling

her back down on to the bed.

“Sleep~” She groaned as she prolonged the word. Yoona cuddled into

her pillow smiling a little at Seohyun. Seohyun smiled to herself as she got

comfortable again. “Also you move a lot in your sleep! So calm that or you might

wake up with me holding you still!” Yoona groaned recalling the events of last

night.

Yoona smiled at the sleeping Seohyun, she wondered how someone could looks so

pure. Seohyun shifted a little in her sleep Yoona though how cute it made Seohyun

look. Yoona laid down trying to get comfortable, why did she suddenly start

thinking of the girl like that. Yoona sighed closing her eyes; suddenly an arm came

flailing on to her face. She opened her eyes to see Seohyun’s arm lying across her

face. She removed the arm carefully rolling over trying not to disturb the sleeping

girl. She closed her eyes finally felling tired enough to sleep, she felt something

kick her. She opened her eyes and sighed, well this was going to be a long night.

Official Death

Tiffany smiled as she saw Taeyeon sleeping in the chair she had previously

complained about. Tiffany grabbed a pillow throwing it at Taeyeon. Taeyeon

jumped up in surprize from the impact, holding her neck for the sudden pain she

felt. She tried to turn her head to loosen the kink in her neck, she groaned as she

thought why she allowed herself to sleep in the chair again.

“Did you have a good sleep?” Tiffany smiled as she got up from the bed.

“Oh it was so perfect” Taeyeon sighed as she watched Tiffany walk

closer.

“Let me see” Tiffany smiled trying to hold her smile back. Tiffany

reached up to touch Taeyeons neck; Taeyeon’s eyes met Tiffany’s. Tiffany gulped

as she poked Taeyeons neck accidentally burning her from being flustered.

Taeyeon smiled as she held her neck trying to make Tiffany more at ease. Taeyeon

looked towards the door and saw a smiling Hyoyeon.

“What are you hiding” Hyoyeon wiggled her eye brows, as she noticed

both of their blushing faces. Hyoyeon grabbed Taeyeons hand revealing her neck,

Hyoyeon smiled winking at Tiffany. Tiffany blushed even more as she walked out

of Taeyeons home. Tiffany wished she had Taeyeons ability right about now.

Jessica sat at Yuri’s home waiting for the other to return home. She sighed as she

regretted the moment Yuri came home. They haven’t been able to talk much since

the interesting hiding technique. Jessica touched her lip as she stood from the

couch, Yuri walked in noticing the blonde standing awkwardly.

“Hi” She said smiling hanging up her jacket. Jessica waved awkwardly

quickly plopping down on the couch. Yuri smiled as she walked into the kitchen

getting a drink for her and Jessica. “I brought home supper” She smiled down at

Jessica as she placed the take out box in front of her. Jessica opened up and smiled

as she saw fries, she quickly began devouring the fries.

“Did anything happen today during your shift?” Jessica said as she

finished her meal. Yuri smiled as she cleaned up the left overs.

“Nope nothing interesting, certainly not like yesterday”

“So no officials”

“And no kisses” Yuri smiled proud of her charming self. Jessica sighed

as she leaned back getting comfortable, why did that dork have to kiss her. Yuri sat

next to Jessica poking her arm gently. “What are you thinking about” Yuri asked

looking towards the annoyed blonde. Jessica turned to Yuri, as she reached out

hitting Yuri’s lips. Yuri blinked in surprize, she smiled as a thought came to her.

“So you’re thinking about my” Yuri smirked pointing towards her lips. Jessica

rolled her eyes hitting Yuri on the side of her head.

“Stupid”

President Seo walked into the meeting he had called, Yoona sat anxiously in the

corner. President Seo smirked as he whispered something to his assistant. Yoona

clenched the papers she held in her hands, wondering if her plan would work.

“So is there any news on the situation of the elites?” President Seo

leaned back into his chair crossing his arms. Yoona gulped standing up walking

towards President Seo assistant.

“We just received an official document confirming the death of Seo

Juhyun"

What I Now Know

“We just received an official document confirming the death of Seo Juhyun”

Yoona passed the document to the assistant trying to stay calm. Yoona had just

faked Seohyun’s death, she wasn’t sure if they would believe this but it was the

best she could do to buy Seohyun sometime.

“What about the others” President Seo raised his eye brow as the

assistant studied the documents.

“We know that the other two missing elites have not been seen in the

city. As we all know the situation with the banished subjects, they would not stand

for any of the elites to be near them. It’s safe to assume they’re dead.” Yoona said

monotonously as she walked back towards her chair in the corner. Yoona hoped

that they believed the documents; Seohyun had used her photographic memory to

forge the signature of one of the head lab technicians. Yoona sat focusing on her

on her anxiety; she was too lost in thoughts to listen to plan President Seo was

building.

“The problem of how to execute all the other mutants has been solved by

our lovely tech team” A proud official stood up handing a carefully sealed vile to

the assistant. Yoona lifted her head having just broken away from her thoughts.

The assistant whispered to President Seo, and Yoona made sure to study the facial

expression of the sick President. He smirked uncrossing his arms; he stood tall

with confidence even though he wasn’t the tallest man.

“Everyone this solution is all we could hope for. Non-violent” He smiled

taking the vile from the assistant. President Seo tuck the vile into his pocket, he

grabbed the bullet from his same pocket show casing it to everyone in attendance.

“This is the last time we have to use such” he paused staring at the bullet, as he

rolled it around in his hand. “Barbaric methods of war, I welcome all of you here

to the new age” He placed the bullet down on the desk in front of him; he smiled

once again showing off his charm. He patted his pocket where the vile had been

placed. “This time silence is our weapon, they’ll never see it coming. All they need

to do is take a breath” He said with a smile sending chills down Yoonas spine.

Yoona gulped knowing that this was some kind of violation against the rules that

were set in place when city Seventeen had been formed. Yoona shook her head

knowing her thought was silly, how did they get rid of all the animals that were

attacking the cities. She sighed knowing the answer was similar to that of what will

happen to the banished elites. The elites were nothing but wild animals to the

government, and there was no room for anything wild.

Yoona walked down the street looking up upon the screens that were showing a

smiling President reinforcing his message in humble ways. She looked at all the

civilians rushing around trying to get to where they need to be in they’re busy

lives. Yoona never once had questioned her upbringing in the city; she understood

that everyone had a place in making the city become great. She tucked her cold

hands into the pocket of her jacket as she tried to stop herself from thinking any

longer. Yoona’s dream job was to become an official, serve the government that

she had idolized as a young kid. Now she understands that’s exactly what they

want is for her and everyone else to idolize the government, to not question how

things are. Yoona opened the door to her apartment seeing a smiling Seohyun in

front of her. Yoona walked past Seohyun as she made her way to the bedroom.

Seohyun followed the girl confused as to why she was acting this way.

“Yoona” Seohyun mumbled trying not to be a bother. Seohyun knew this

situation must be hard on Yoona, to be truthful this whole time Seohyun has snuck

little glance into Yoona’s thoughts andmemories. She knew if Yoona would know

too much her world would seem to crumble, Seohyun didn’t want that for Yoona

because Seohyun knew all too well just how much it could hurt.

“You’re officially dead” Yoona said as she unbuttons her top, wanting to

remove anything that reminded her of her terrible job. Seohyun looked towards the

window avoiding the changing girl.

“I suppose I got what I wanted? Although it feels weird, the only person

I’m really alive to is you.” Seohyun sighed leaning against the door frame. Yoona

smiled at Seohyun, although Seohyun didn’t buy it. “You don’t have to smile I

know how complicated and impossible this must seem to regular citizens.”

“I think I accepted that this is real the moment I allowed myself to

wonder about you” Yoona mumbled as she plopped down on her bed. “Seohyun,

they’re planning something big”

“What do you mean?”

“The weapons they had you prepare, although you deleted them what

were they?” Yoona asked as she closed her eyes picturing the sick smile of the

President. Seohyun was taking by surprize as she walked towards the bed

wondering why Yoona was asking.

“Well they were mostly energy. How should I say this to simplify

things? Almost stun guns but imagine if they contained the power of some elites

have.” Seohyun sighed hoping that was the answer Yoona was looking for.

“Nothing in the form of a chemical?”

“Chemical weaponry is against the law set, after the big chemical leaks

that lead to the forming of Seventeen and many other cities.”

“How did they get rid of the mutated animals that happened because of

those leaks? That’s why the city was formed; it has all the necessary components

to protect us from them.”

“They released a special chemical that would only affect that of which

had previously been exposed to the other chemical”

“So do you honestly think they wouldn’t do that again? Only instead of

animals it was something more human” Yoona sighed sitting up looking at

Seohyun, Yoona watched as Seohyun walked towards her. Seohyun sat close to

Yoona sighing as she reached for Yoona’s hand.

“You’re smarter than how you appear. But stop protecting me with all

this word play.” Seohyun smiled already knowing what was happening. Yoona

looked in Seohyun’s already tear eyes and thought to herself. Seohyun don’t die,

how can I stop this attack from happening.

“Yuri wake up” Jessica poked the dark haired girls forehead. Yuri lifted

her head from Jessica’s shoulder smiling silently trying to hide her embarrassment.

“You ask to watch movies with me, but you fall asleep?”

“Sorry, I haven’t been able to sleep recently” Yuri scratched her head, as

she sat up yawning.

“Why is that?”

“Honestly, I keep thinking something is going to happen to you.” Yuri

looked into Jessica’s eyes. Jessica pressed pause leaning towards Yuri, with a

smile.

“Honestly I think I can protect myself” Jessica winked freezing Yuri’s

half empty drink. Yuri pouted nodding her head knowing Jessica was right. “But

thank you, for everything”

“What can I say I’m sucker for beautiful blonde girls?”

“Blonde?”

“And they’re name must be Jessica”

“That’s odd”

“Jessica Jung to be exact” Yuri smiled as she noticed Jessica was

blushing in front of her. Jessica shook her head; Yuri smiled at the cute action.

Jessica stuck out her tongue as leaned more towards Yuri. Jessica leaned further

shocking the dark haired girl, Jessica smiled as she gently kissed the girl. Jessica

jumped up from the couch with a proud smile. Yuri sat shocked, with a dorky grin

as she realized what happened.

“Good to know”

“What is?”

“I now know how to shut you up”

How Are You Alive

President Seo turned towards the leading scientist in charge of the chemical that

was held in the vile he had so proudly displayed.

“Have you found a way for it only to affect those who have undergone

the injections?” He asked as he noticed everyone’s nervous attitudes.

“Sir we assure you it shouldn’t have any major affects on the general

population of Seventeen. Just the elites and those monsters who threaten the safety

of our well run city. I suppose you could say it will react with the mutated genes

that we have been able to produce within them. It should be relatively painless

although some of the test subjects showed to have some pain” The scientist bowed

showing respect to what the President had done for the city. President smiled

patting the scientist on the back with a chuckle.

“Run one final test; also get everything prepared for the release of the

chemical.” He smiled as he dismissed himself, in just a few days no one would

ever know of his biggest mistake.

Taeyeon sat in the look out that Sooyoung had made her set up, she sighed as she

noticed Tiffany was a sleep in the corner of the tight space. She groaned as she

kept her eyes towards the city.

“Stupid fire hwang” She cursed under her breath as she leaned on the

edge of the little window she was looking out of.

“What did you way?” Taeyeon looked back to see Tiffany holding one

eye open. Taeyeon smiled awkwardly as she shrugged turning away from the

unpredictable Tiffany.

“Stupid” Tiffany whispered in Taeyeon’s ear, Taeyeon jumped back

startled when had Tiffany become so close to her. Tiffany glared at Taeyeon who

was now red in the face. Taeyeon closed her eyes and disappeared from Tiffanys

sight. Tiffany squinted her eyes trying to find Taeyeon then mentally cursed herself

how was she going to see someone who’s invisible? “Kim Taeyeon, stop hiding

from me or I’m going to…” Tiffany paused for a second thinking of what would be

bad for Taeyeon.

“Boo” Taeyeon smiled in front of the still in thought girl. Tiffany looked

at Taeyeons eyes, as Taeyeons smile softened. Taeyeon gulped feeling nervous as

she studied Tiffany’s face which Taeyeon felt was flawless. Tiffany was now

looking passed the dumb looking girl, as she noticed a familiar face heading

towards the edge of the woods that surrounded the city. Tiffany walked passed

Taeyeon climbing down the ladder of the lookout as she rushed towards where the

girl was.

Yoona walked towards the edge of the woods surveying the area for the

government. She sighed as she tucked her hands in her pockets. She really didn’t

care for the job anymore; she strolled along the side of the forest taking in the fresh

air. Suddenly she felt someone pull her into the forest slamming her up against a

tree. Yoona opened her eyes and saw no one; she sat on the ground holding her

wrist that had taken most of the hit.

“You stay there I’ll handle this.”

“Taeyeon!”

“Hwang this is not the time, you’re going to get everyone killed stay!”

Yoona heard two voices yelling in the distance. Yoona pushed herself from the

ground using the tree to steady her. She closed her eyes preparing her for what

might happen, she opened her eyes to see a girl standing in front of her. The girl

was shorter than her, and if Yoona was being honest she was quite cute.

“Uhm you’re Yoona right?” The girl stuttered, as Yoona tilted her head

slightly confused.

“I’m sorry I’m not sure how you would know me” She said holding her

wrist turning away from the girl. She heard a crack and turned to where the girl

was and saw she was gone. She turned back to walk out of the forest but was

greeted by the same girl.

“I suggest you stay and talk to me” The girl clenched her fist seemly

glaring off into the distance. Yoona looked behind her to see if there was someone

there. Yoona now took back her initial thought on that this girl was cute, this girl

was definitely crazy. “uhmmmm Seohyun! That’s it Seohyun, what happened to

her” The girl asked but this just confused Yoona more.

“I’m not sure what you’re talking about” Yoona scratched the back of

her neck; she honestly didn’t remember this girl.

“Yoona” The confused girl turned around to see the familiar red head.

Yoona looked at her in disbelief, how was she here, how could she still be alive.

“Tiffany what did I say!”

“Taeyeon shut up” Tiffany glared at the girl Yoona was still confused

about. Yoona held her wrist as she walked towards the angry Tiffany.

“Tiffany, how are you alive?” she asked walking closer with a strange

look on her face. Taeyeon grabbed Yoona’s wrist holding her back from Tiffany.

“Don’t go any closer stay at a distance” Taeyeon tried to glare at Yoona

keeping her grip. Yoona sighed allowing the girl to hold her still.

“Of course I’m alive, the only reason I’m stuck her is because they

brought me here and I told them I thought something big was going to happen.”

“Tiffany, they’re dead. I managed to save Seohyun, and I made contact

with Jessica. But everyone else, I’m sorry but they’re gone” Yoona broke her wrist

away from Taeyeon, Taeyeon was now confused she had never seen a really upset

Tiffany. Tiffany’s eyes changed; as they started to water Taeyeon looked away. As

the tears rolled down Tiffany’s cheeks they quickly turned to steam, she swallowed

trying to hold back the tears that kept pushing. She remembered the twins and how

they had always comforted her when Jessica blew up at her. She remember all the

times everyone was together, the whole group of them was the only reason Tiffany

stayed sane for that long. Taeyeon blinked holding back her tears as she walked

over to the still over heating girl. She grabbed Tiffany’s hand clenched her eyes

from the burning feeling. Tiffany looked and saw Taeyeon smiling up at her.

“I should get going, I I’ll try to tell you more. I’m not sure how much I

will be able too, thank you for being alive really thank you. Seohyun will be

happy.” Yoona smiled getting ready to walk away.

“Taeyeon why did you bring an official into our territory?” Sooyoung

walked up crossing her arms.

'Jessica That's Not Fair!'

“Sooyoung it’s really not what it looks like” Taeyeon panicked flailing her hands

in front of the taller girl. Tiffany stood watched the short girl do her gestures; as

she tried to hold back her laughter.

“I really wouldn’t say she’s a threat” Tiffany spoke up to stop Taeyeon

from further embarrassment.

“Say’s the one who tried to kill everyone here” Sooyoung raised her

eyebrow at Tiffany. Tiffany put her hands up in defeat taking a step back.

“Don’t worry” Yoona spoke up trying to ease the concerned Sooyoung.

“I’ve just come to relay a message to Tiffany that is it.” Yoona nodded trying to

get out of this strange situation. She still wasn’t exactly used to Seohyun’s powers;

all these other powers made her feel uneasy.

“What’s your name” Sooyoung said as she crossed her arms, Tiffany

made a face feeling angry over Sooyoung’s attitude.

“Im Yoona” Yoona sighed realizing this might take long than she

wanted. “Listen if you’re worried about me telling anyone, don’t worry. I have my

own reasons for not telling.”

“Can you do us a favour” Sooyoung smiled as she thought of a plan.

Yoona shook her head dreading what they could possibly want from her. “Can I

borrow your appearance?”

“What?” Yoona asked as she looked up to see a copy of herself standing

where Sooyoung was. Yoona felt her phone vibrate in her pocket; she quickly

pulled it out answering the phone call. “Hello?”

“Yoona it’s me Seohyun”

“What’s wrong?”

“There was a message on your answering machine; I believe some

officials will be here soon.” Seohyun sounded worried, Yoona sighed looking up

still disturbed by the image of herself.

“I’ll be right there” Yoona hung up the phone placing it back in her

pocket bowing to the others.

“Sooyoung stop it” Hyoyeon walked up towards the group once Yoona

had left.

“Can we really trust her” Sooyoung said going back to herself.

“Yes” Tiffany answered as she patted Taeyeon on the head. Taeyeon was

still worried about the whole situation what if she were to get in trouble with

Sooyoung for allowing Yoona to even come close to the camp. She played with her

fingers nervously, thinking over all the possible outcomes.

“Sooyoung I know you, obviously you know we can.” Hyoyeon smiled

as she hit Taeyeon’s butt to make her stop her silly worries.

“What do you mean?”

“You wouldn’t have let her go if you didn’t” Hyoyeon smiled, grabbing

Sooyoung’s hand. “Now you’re late, you’re turn to cook for the others.” Hyoyeon

waved to Taeyeon and Tiffany as she dragged Sooyoung away.

“You’re such a dork” Tiffany let out a giggle.

“Are you still upset” Taeyeon looked worried towards the red haired

beauty. Tiffany nodded her head lightly shoving her hands in her pockets.

“At least Seohyun and Jessica are alright” She shrugged walking over to

the dork that was still worried about her. She grabbed Taeyeons hand; she could

clearly see where she had burned Taeyeon. “I’m so sorry” She sighed cursing

herself in her mind.

“Don’t be” Taeyeon smiled brightly. “Plus it doesn’t hurt that much

anyway” she poked her hand to show Tiffany that it didn’t hurt. Tiffany smiled

knowing Taeyeon was lying but somehow the effort made her happy.

“You’re not a good liar” Tiffany flicked the short girl on the head,

smiling widely at her. Taeyeon watched as Tiffany’s eyes smiled with her smile,

she was certain that was becoming her favourite sight. Tiffany picked up Taeyeons

hand one last time, giving it a kiss.

“Jessica that’s not fair!” Yuri whined as Jessica sat up on the counter,

holding her container of ice cream. Yuri walked closer trying to get a bite of the ice

cream she had bought but Jessica just swatted her away. “Come on!”

“Kwon Yuri grow up”

“I bought it”

“Yes but”

“But what!”

“I’m the Ice Cream Princess” Jessica looked at Yuri, as Yuri tried to hold

back her laughter. Jessica face palmed herself for her lame joke.

“Okay okay, it’s all yours” Yuri smiled thinking how cute it was to see

Jessica finally joking around with her. Jessica jumped from the counter shoving the

spoon into Yuri mouth and throwing the container of ice cream at her.

“I’m going to go shower” Jessica crossed her arms as she sped up to

reach the bathroom quicker.

Rolling

Seohyun smiled in relief as Yoona walked through the door. Yoona rushed to

Seohyun’s side worried about how the girl had called so suddenly.

“Don’t worry Yoona, they’re only coming to see you” Seohyun smiled

trying to ease the look she saw in Yoona’s eyes. Yoona wrapped her arms around

Seohyun trying not to squeeze the girl too tightly.

“Seohyun, I found Tiffany she’s safe.” Yoona sighed still hugging the

girl. To be honest Yoona wasn’t hugging Seohyun because she thought Seohyun

was scared of the officials that were coming. No she was hugging her because

Yoona herself was scared. “How can I make sure your safe?” Yoona asked as she

parted from Seohyun sincerely worrying for the girl. “They probably know I faked

the death notice” Yoona’s thoughts began to race. “Hurry grab clothes” Yoona

instructed Seohyun as she herself ran to find a suitcase. Seohyun grabbed as much

as she could, she wasn’t exactly sure what Yoona was looking for.

“Is this good enough?” Seohyun said a she held up two piles of neatly

folded clothes, Yoona smiled as she opened the suit case.

“Get in”

“What do you mean?”

“Were going somewhere it’s safe” Yoona said as she noticed Seohyun

turn towards the door, Yoona knew by the look Seohyun had heard them coming.

Seohyun climbed into the cramped space as Yoona kept muttering sorry as she

zippered it almost shut. Yoona opened the door hoping to miss the officials that

were on the way up, but with her luck she ran right into them.

“Yoona where are you heading?” They questioned her as they looked at

the bag.

“Remember I told you guys my parents birthday, I’m going to visit them.

Why are you guys here anyway, I heard your message but you never really said”

Yoona lied better than she expected.

“Ahh yes we just came to check up on something”

“Something?”

“Don’t worry we won’t hold you up any longer, we’ll handle it for you.

We both know what kind of person you are, and we are sure this is just a

misunderstanding. What a fun time” Yoona’s coworkers smiled as the waved

goodbye to the girl.

Yoona pulled the heavy suitcase into the café that she knew held Jessica. She

walked to the counter struggling now with pulling the bag. Yuri saw her and ran to

her side, helping her to get into the kitchen where they could talk.

“Why are you here, I thought you wouldn’t tell us anymore?” Yuri asked

trying to hide the Jessica that was crouching behind the counter top at the back of

the kitchen. Seohyun kicked the suitcase wanting to know what the hell was going

on. She mentally cursed herself wondering how she ended up in this situation

seeing as she was supposed to be the smart one. Yuri watched as a hand emerged

from the little hole where Yoona hadn’t zippered it all the way. Yoona and Yuri

stood watching as the suitcase gave birth to Seohyun. Seohyun carefully patted

down her messy hair trying to regain some of her persona of being professional.

Jessica stood up when she saw the girl quickly running in for a hug, which took

Seohyun by surprize.

“Yuri right?” Yoona tried to remember the other girl’s name, although

she wasn’t quite sure.

“Yes that’s me” Yuri said as she focused on the hug that was still going

on.

“Do you have a suitcase; you and Jessica are coming with me.”

“What are you planning Yoona” Jessica and Seohyun said at the same

time, Jessica glared at Seohyun knowing what she had just done.

“We’re going to go talk to Tiffany, we need to buy sometime before

President Seo does anything to rash”

“Wait what’s happening now, wait what Tiffany? She’s alive.” Jessica

asked as her thoughts seemed to have no fully caught up yet. Seohyun whispered to

whole situation to Jessica with some help by reading Yoona’s mind. Seohyun was

angry that Yoona hadn’t told her the extent of the threat President Seo had thought,

but she knew that wasn’t important right now.

“Jessica I’m sorry, but can you get in this container” Yuri motioned to a

container with wheels, it was slightly bigger than the suitcase that Seohyun had to

stuff herself into but Jessica wanted no part in it.

“Yuri you use that for transporting your goods for deliveries imagine

how dirty it is”

“Jessica come on”

“Why do you even believe Yoona anyway, I mean it’s not like you even

know what’s happening. This could all be a lie but your still believing it crazy talk

actually” Jessica began to ramble trying to get out of going into the stupid dirty

box. Yuri leaned forward capturing her lips, which certainly kept Jessica quiet.

“I trust that she knows how to keep you safe. I just want you to be safe, it

seems like something bad will happen based on the reactions everyone has. I don’t

need to know the details; I’m just going to be by you, to make sure you’re safe.

Okay Jessica?”

All Together

Tiffany smiled at Taeyeon as she noticed the shorter girl bringing her some toast.

“Breakfast in bed?” she smiled lightly, grabbing the plate from Taeyeon

so she could sit on the bed.

“Well I thought I should be nice” Taeyeon grabbed the plate from the

clearly sleepy Tiffany. Tiffany grabbed a piece of toast, nibbling on it a little bit

watching Taeyeon eat her own piece.

“Stop looking at me” Taeyeon mumbled as she shoved the last of her

toast in her mouth. Tiffany smiled and continued eating her piece.

“Just finish your own toast” Taeyeon glared jokingly at the red head. She

noticed Tiffany’s hair was rather messy so she began to fix her hair. “Oh sorry”

She smiled awkwardly realizing what had happened, and how it may have crossed

a line.

“How’s your hand?” Tiffany asked picking up Taeyeons injured hand;

she smiled once she saw it had healed. “You got Hyoyeon to heal you didn’t you”

Tiffany eye smiled. Taeyeon nodded knowing her plan to stop Tiffany’s worry had

worked. “You should have come to me, I’m the one who hurt you” Tiffany pouted

as she rubbed her sleepy eye.

“Sleepy Tiffany is cute” Taeyeon smiled knocking the pouting girl on the

forehead.

“Wow flirting when your friends are here” Taeyeon looked towards the

door knowing it was Hyoyeon. Hyoyeon winked as she lead two people with a

suitcase and contianer into Taeyeon’s little home. “Well say hello to your friends”

Hyoyeon stared at the awkward two sitting on the bed. Tiffany looked confused at

the girls with the containers.

“Friends?” Taeyeon asked before noticing the glare from the girl she

knew to be Yoona. Taeyeon jumped up quickly changing her expression. “Yeah

friends, ahh I’m just a little tired sorry. Uhm Hyoyeon can you leave us to catch

up, thank you by the way for showing them to us” Taeyeon scratched the back of

her neck, as she watched Hyoyeon leave.

“Tiffany what the heck are you doing” Jessica popped out of the

container scaring Taeyeon more than Taeyeon would admit. Tiffany looked

towards the messing looking Jessica, giving her a strange look. She stood up

hugging the blonde girl right away missing the girl way more than she had

previously though.

“I hate to interrupt, but may I have a hand getting out of this thing” They

turned towards the suitcase after hearing it speak. Yoona smiled awkwardly as she

unzipped the bag revealing the girl that Tiffany was the most worried for. Tiffany

jumped away from Jessica rushing towards Seohyun.

“Why are you guys here, wait how are you guys here”

“Well my father seems to have been up to no good. Yoona actually has a

plan.” Yoona looked confused at Seohyun now knowing she had read her mind.

“What do you mean?” Tiffany asked as she walked over to the awkward

Taeyeon, grabbing her hand to see if she was okay.

“Well it seems that the weapons he had me design were a cover. He was

really hiring other scientist to create a weapon that would get rid of us.” Seohyun

looked down trying to calm herself so she could deliver the rest of the news.

“You promised you wouldn’t read my mind Seohyun.” Yoona looked

disappointed at the girl. “Anyway to my knowledge it’s a chemical that will react

with your mutated genes” Yoona sighed, patting Seohyun on the shoulder.

“Wait so; basically we can’t do anything to stop this?” Yuri finally spoke

up standing behind Jessica.

“Who’s that” Taeyeon whispered to Tiffany who was equally as

confused. Tiffany thought she looked familiar but she really couldn’t find out how.

“Well I do have a plan, it involves that tall girl” Yoona looked towards

Taeyeon.

Threats

“So you want me to what?” Sooyoung asked clearly confused as to why Yoona

would ask something like that.

“You mentioned you wanted to borrow my image right? Well follow my

plan, and it will give you more answers. It will need to happen soon though, we

just need to get in there to buy us a little more time to plan” Yoona smiled towards

Seohyun hoping it would impress her how she had planned everything.

“So what’s your plan” Sooyoung smirked putting her hand out for Yoona

to shake.

Sooyoung walked towards the government building trying to keep her composer.

She really enjoyed playing the role of other people, now she just had to follow

through with the plan. She walked into the building getting several nods from the

officials around; they really believed she was Yoona. She smirked to herself

finding it funny how many people could fall for their little game. Sooyoung knew

where she had to go, she had to enter the meeting that would be held today and stir

up the confidence President Seo had. She went over the directions Yoona had

given to her, and she was relieved when she entered the right room. President Seo

was already sat at his desk where the bullet still sat to show the change within the

government. Sooyoung smiled finding the item she need. She confidently walked

over to the president’s desk lifting the bullet from the desk. She held in between

her finger and her thumb, squinting her eyes to look as if she was studying it.

“It’s amazing isn’t it?”

“If you’re referring to our new weaponry than yes” Presidents assistant

answered for him, as the Seo sat glaring at the girl.

“No. It’s amazing how we can die from something so…” She looked the

president in the eye smiling. “So tiny.”

“What is it you’re trying to say?”

“I’m saying this is the end of my stay here as an official. People have

died for smaller things than killing hundreds. This is large, imagine the death

then?” She smiled placing the bullet down gently. The body guards around the

President held her wrist, clearly she knew the threat had come across.

“That wasn’t a threat, just an observation.” Sooyoung smiled, this was

the time do say what Yoona had told her too. “President I leave you with this,

nothing is more powerful than control. But when you have none, it’s amazing how

much power that can have” Sooyoung smiled as she turned away walking slowly.

“Wait” There it was she had got to him as they planned. Sooyoung

turned around smiling, keeping her calm. “You are leaving at a time like this! You

know what is happening tomorrow” Sooyoung smiled he had just leaked the news

they needed to her. “How dare you betray me, all of us after the hard work we all

put in? You dare to laugh at this?” She raised an eyebrow confused by the

Presidents thought process. This is what she wanted to do, show President Seo’s

lack of stability and ultimately his lack of control.

“Good bye President” She smiled exiting the room. She knew many

people may follow her out after a daring move like that, Yoona had warned her.

She hurried to the bathroom Yoona said would allow her to see what she need.

She looked out from a near window locking her eyes on a random woman. She

allowed herself to take the form of the lady; she smirked as she continued to the

lobby of the government building.

Embarrassment.

Yoona sat nervously waiting for Sooyoung’s return, she hoped Sooyoung did all

she said. Yoona new if Sooyoung had said too much the government would catch

on to what was going to happen. She also knew without the information the rest of

the subjects wouldn’t back them up in the fight.

“You should stop thinking” Seohyun mumbled as she sat next to Yoona.

“You’re one to talk” Yoona smirked as she looked at the wide eyed girl.

Seohyun smiled actually enjoying the company of Yoona, which she hadn’t when

she first met the girl. “You’re beautiful Seo Juhyun”

“What made you say that?”

“I’m not an official anymore, so I may as well be honest with

everything.”

“What is this everything?”

“I thought you were smart” Yoona smiled at the confused girl. Seohyun

was going over all the memories in her head trying to find something to relate to

this conversation. “Seohyun” Seohyun looked into the girls eyes, accidentally

letting her guard down and entering her mind.

“I like you, so don’t die. Stay here.” Seohyun closed her eyes wishing

she would have never entered, she didn’t know how to respond to that, nor did she

know how to tell Yoona she knew her feelings now.

“Now you know, maybe that’s why I’ve been so awkwardly distant. But

I knew there was something special about you, I saved you because I wouldn’t

allow myself to not see you. I was denying it until now. I don’t want to stress you

out, because I know very well how new you are to this kind of social interaction. I

just wanted you to know, just in case something happens” Yoona smiled looking

down at her hands. Seohyun felt her heart rate speed up; she placed her hand on her

cheeks feeling the warmth. Seohyun at this moment loved that she had the ability

to never forget, because she would reply this in her mind for as long as she could.

“Why is she blushing” Jessica walked into the room where to the two sat.

The two girls awkwardly looked up at the very calm Jessica. “Weird”

“JESSICA” Seohyun yelled as Jessica was about to exit the room after

getting what she needed. “I need to talk to you”

Seohyun sat on the bed in Taeyeon’s home as Jessica and Tiffany stared at her

confused by why she would need to talk to them about something.

“I have a question” Seohyun finally spoke up; this caught the attention of

Taeyeon and Yuri who still sat in the room.

“You have a question for us? Aren’t you suppose to know everything”

Jessica sighed, Tiffany smiled having caught on to what she meant.

“What if someone likes you?” Seohyun mumbled, as Tiffany clapped her

hands. Jessica smiled catching on to why those weirdoes were acting like that.

“IDIOT leave and take the short one” Jessica pointed towards the door,

and Tiffany did the same. Taeyeon looked at Yuri and shrugged, they walked out

of Taeyeon’s house still confused.

“So who likes you” Tiffany smiled brightly excited for Seohyun.

“Isn’t it obvious Yoona”

“Oh Yoona, this is like a love story”

“How is it like a love story?”

“You know they meet hate each other, then realize it’s all an act hiding

their true feelings”

“I think you forgot the part where a war might happen” Jessica rolled her

eyes at Tiffany who just pouted. “Wait why you are so happy anyway”

“I’m not happy” Tiffany waved her hands in front of Jessica.

“Well you do seem to smile more than you used too, which is weird

considering as Jessica mention the war and all” Seohyun finally put began to put

herself into the conversation.

“This isn’t about me! Seohyun, Seohyun likes Yoona let’s get back to the

original topic”

“I don’t like Yoona, well I don’t know if I do.”

“Oh you do, I walked in and you looked like you were going to explode”

Jessica smiled at the now blushing Seohyun. “There just say what you want, you’re

smart you got this. Now back to you Hwang” Jessica winked shifting her position

to face the red head.

“Okay this isn’t fair it’s my house, so we’re staying” Taeyeon walked in

noticing the awkward atmosphere. Yuri followed Taeyeon in looking at the blonde

girl who had a smirk on her face.

“You like Taeyeon!” Seohyun gasped quietly.

“SEOHYUN STOP READING MY MIND”

“Wait what did she say” Taeyeon said walking close to Tiffany, whose

face was now hidden by her hair.

“Jessica what did you do” Yuri glared jokingly at the blonde girl who

was almost dying by how this played out. “Ahh you’re embarrassing them, should

I embarrass you?” Yuri smirked. Jessica stood up glaring at the dark haired girl

trying to shut her up. “It’s okay if you get to embarrassed, we found that new way

to hide.” Yuri winked walking close to the blonde haired girl.

Leader

“Have you guys stopped talking yet” Yoona sighed as she walked into a room

filled with blushing faces. “Have I missed something” She looked towards

Seohyun who avoided her gaze.

“I really need to stop reading Yuri” Seohyun placed her hand on her

forehead regretting ever deciding it was a good idea to read their minds. Jessica

looked at Yuri putting her hand up to smack the girl.

“Stop thinking now she knows!”

“How was I supposed to know she can read minds?” Yuri grabbed

Jessica hand to avoid being hit. Tiffany nudged Seohyun curious to what she now

knew about the normally secretive Jessica. Seohyun leaned in whispering about

how she knew of the kisses Jessica and Yuri had shared. Tiffany looked up,

making eye contact with Jessica.

“Glad to know your happy” Tiffany winked standing up, getting ready to

run away from Jessica.

“WE’RE NOT DATING” Jessica yelled trying to go after Tiffany but

Yuri held her back. Taeyeon looked at everyone confused; this was the kind of

people Tiffany hung out with? Tiffany opened the door to be greeted with a

smirking Hyoyeon. Taeyeon glared at the girl hoping she didn’t want to join in on

this embarrassment fest. “Who are you” Jessica yelled as Hyoyeon stepped into the

room stopping Tiffany from leaving.

“I’m Hyoyeon.” She saved smiling at everyone. “Okay now that my

introduction is over. Sooyoung wants to speak with you all. So I think you all

should get your emotions in check.”

“I don’t know what you’re talking about” Taeyeon tried defending

everyone.

“Okay well in other words. Everyone just date for god’s sake.” Hyoyeon

smiled as she held the door for everyone to exit. Yuri followed behind the group

she wondered why none of this was freaking her out. She looked towards Jessica

trying to think of how the girl wasn’t just like her. But she knew all the people

within this camp had the ability to kill her faster than she could even blink.

“Yoona, I did as you asked, it seems like we have less time than we

thought” Sooyoung sighed sitting down in a chair, as everyone sat as well. “Wait

you’re the human right” Sooyoung pointed at Yuri. Yuri’s eyes widened as she

nodded not sure of what to do. Sooyoung smirked looking towards Seohyun whose

brain was already hard at work with constructing a plan.

“If you don’t mind my input, but I think I have plan” Seohyun stood up,

Sooyoung smiled knowing she was right about the feeling she had for Seohyun.

“So I was right you are the brain. Go ahead”

“Well from the information you gathered today, yes sorry for reading

your mind. We need to start moving tonight, knowing my father your threat caused

him to want to get this done with quick. We need to disrupt his power, show that

we all have the control he lacks. Yuri the only human here can go to the news

outlets; this will reach to other cities close to our own so if we need help we’ve

reached it. But that’s not what needs to happen first, that’s our back up. Taeyeon is

our best bet here, she can go in undetected.”

“I’ll do it” Taeyeon smiled awkward as she stood up ready to take the

task Seohyun would give her.

“Great, I’m going to give you important information on how to crash the

computers in the labs.” Taeyeon nodded knowing she had to wait till after the plans

were made. Seohyun took a breath closing her eyes thinking of what else to do.

“Sooyoung, this is the most dangerous job. Can you pretend to be my

father, although you have not seen him?” Seohyun looked at the now shocked girl,

Seohyun knew this was going to be hard. Seohyun closed her eyes trying to stretch

her power, she tried to inject Sooyoungs mind with the images of her father that

she could remember.

“Woah” Sooyoung said as she felt Seohyuns memories of her father

come into her mind. Seohyun fell back into her chair; Yoona looked towards the

weak girl.

“I’m okay, Sooyoung did it work?”

“Of course it did our leader” Sooyoung smiled as Seohyun opened her

eyes to see the image of her father. “Seohyun you’re a great leader, don’t let what

this guy or anyone else says about you. Use that brain of yours.”

Computer Down

Taeyeon took a deep breath in closing her eyes, she breathed out opening her eyes.

She looked over to the lookout seeing many others waiting for the signal. Taeyeon

tried to calm herself down, how did everyone trust her as their first choice.

“Hey” Tiffany smiled in front of the nervous Taeyeon. “Don’t be

nervous, you’ll do great. Remember you’re not just invisible you can make a

difference” Tiffany smiled lightly, but clearly she was just as nervous as Taeyeon.

Taeyeon smirked a bit wanting to hug the red haired girl, but she wasn’t sure if

Tiffany would be okay with that. “I’ll be right here if you need me” Tiffany took a

deep breath leaning in kissing the shorter girl on the cheek. Taeyeon’s eyes widen

looking around at everyone’s faces.

“I’ll be fine. After all Tiffany Hwang believes in me” Taeyeon smiled

trying to stop Tiffany’s worry. Tiffany giggled to ease her nerves walking away

from Taeyeon. Sooyoung smiled down at Taeyeon, as Taeyeon smiled up at her.

“Let us go President Seo” Sooyoung smirked as she transformed into the man she

hated.

As Seohyun has said earlier to the girls Sooyoung was only to talk to the officials

that were no within the building. The officials would be stationed at different

places along the forest; Taeyeon looked at Sooyoung smiling before she vanished.

Seooyoung saw her first targets as she neared the edge of the forest.

“Oh welcome sir” The officials bowed to Sooyoung, clearly buying her

disguise. Sooyoung paused for a second hoping she would get his personality right.

“I had to see if everything was being done correctly, you can’t trust

anyone these days” Sooyoung mentally cursed herself for how lame that sounded.

“Of course of course, were just readying for the release on your

command”

“So you have the tech all hooked up for this task?” Sooyoung looked at a

strange looking weapon assuming that’s what would be releasing it.

“Ah yes we’re just installing it now sir” The officials awkwardly smiled.

She watched as the strange weapon blended in with its surroundings now. She felt

her pulse increase they’re hiding the points where they were going to release the

chemical.

“Have you made contact with the lab? Have they said it will be ready to

go?”

“Yes sir, we’re just here to protect it as you ordered”

Taeyeon stayed silent trying to make sure her breath wasn’t too loud. She

followed one of the lab workers into the lab. She looked around at the many

computers trying to find the one that Seohyun had described to her. She smiled as

she found it, she looked at the lab tech who sat at the computer she needed. She

knocked on the door hoping it would distract the lab tech, enough to get her away.

The technician looked towards the door ignoring the knock. Taeyeon rolled her

eyes now stuck on what she had to do next to make sure the plan went down right.

“Hey do you want a coffee, I’m going out to get one?” Taeyeon heard

someone ask from the other room. The girl looked up smiling clearly happy she

could take a break from work.

“Yeah let me join you, I’m just going to lock the lab” The girl smiled as

she got up locking the doors and exiting. Taeyeon sighed to herself as she sat down

at the computer carefully entering the password Seohyun had told her. She scrolled

through the files looking for the one that held the information about the chemicals.

She took out the flashdrive Seohyun had given her, and plugged it into the

computer to retrieve the data. Taeyeon knew once it had be downloaded into the

flashdrive she had to move fast to shut down the equipment or else the government

would be alerted. She watched as the loading bar filled up, she pulled the

flashdrive out quickly. She took out the other chip that Seohyun had given her and

inserted that into the computer. Taeyeon smiled as she typed in the code, and

watched as the computers shut down. Taeyeon picked up the phone Yoona had

given her texting “computers down”.

Change Of Plans

“Where did you get all the computer stuff” Yoona asked Seohyun who clearly was

still in thought.

“Do you really think I would leave home without having something that

stores information?” She looked at the girl who asked a silly question.

“You’re amazing you know that” Yoona smiled at the girl. Seohyun

received the message from Taeyeon, now all she waited on was the message from

Sooyoung what was taking so long.

“They should have been done by now, Sooyoung is taking too long.”

President Seo sat staring at the person who looked like his own reflection.

“Who are you” He glared at the tied up person. The person smirked

knowing not to say anything.

“Why would I tell you” One of the officials around the president went

forward hitting the mirror image of Seo. Sooyoung winced in pain as she couldn’t

hold the image anymore and revealed herself.

“Your one of them”

“Well if that wasn’t obvious enough”

“What are you doing here? Your mind must be leading you to do stupid

things, now you see why we kill the likes of you”

“The likes of me… What have I done that shows you that I am someone

who lacks control? I know perfectly what I did today, and I did it because I have

control over myself.”

“Then maybe you’re just stupid, to come up against me on your own”

President Seo smiled as he gestured for two guys to finish her.

“Who said I’m alone” Sooyoung smiled as her phone began to go off.

President Seo wiped the smile off his face picking up the phone.

“Sooyoung, Sooyoung where are you. Why aren’t you back yet?”

“This isn’t Sooyoung; this is your President speaking”

“Well Mr. Seo, this is Seo Juhyun.” President Seo smiled throwing the

phone on the ground; he knew his daughter was no match for him.

“End this” He smiled pointing towards Sooyoung. He walked out of the

room heading towards the lab, he was going to tell them to release the chemicals

early nothing was going to stop him.

“President Seo, theres a problem with all our technology it seems

someone has shut down the networks.” Seo’s assistant nervously said to the man.

Seo clenched his fists, walking towards his office. If they couldn’t release the

chemical with the new software, they were going to do it the old way. He turned to

his assistant who had followed him in to the office.

“Schedule flights to release the chemicals”

Ready

Taeyeon arrived back at camp not knowing what Sooyoung had got herself into.

Tiffany smiled upon seeing the short girl walk over to the lookout. Taeyeon

smirked opening her arms wanting a hug, she really didn’t care if this was crossing

a line between her and Tiffany, and she really wanted a hug. Tiffany smiled

running into Taeyeon giving her hug glad to see she came home safe.

“Tiffany” Seohyun yelled towards the pair’s direction. Tiffany was

incharge of the lookouts on the west side of the camp, well Jessica was position

east. “Change of plans my father is on to us, Sooyoung's cover was blown.”

Seohyun tried to catch her breath when she reached the girls. Taeyeon looked

towards Tiffany then back at Seohyun hoping what her thoughts were saying

weren’t true.

“Sooyoung is she…” Taeyeon asked, Seohyun tried to smile but Taeyeon

could tell her thoughts had been correct. Tiffany looked towards the shorter girls

face noticing the girl trying to hide her sadness; the red head grabbed Taeyeon’s

hand trying to comfort her.

“Yoona is telling Jessica and Yuri. It’s going to get more brutal than we

thought we need to move now. We need to head the military base, the airplanes he

would use would be kept there.” Seohyun said thinking aloud. “I think he would

use the planes, what else would he use. We disabled the weapons that would be

detonated by the technology”

“Seohyun calm down.” Tiffany sighed trying to stop herself from

panicking right about now.

“You and Taeyeon take the other subjects that are here at this look out.

Leave behind ten, take the rest with you.” Seohyun smiled looking over towards

the many people that stood around not knowing what to expect yet, they just knew

they had to protect their camp. “Give me your phone” Seohyun said snatching the

phone from Taeyeons pocket before Taeyeon could respond.

“Yoona it's Seohyun” Yoona heard as she picked up the phone, she looked at the

shocked Yuri in front of her.

“Yes Seohyun, I’m here with them. I told them what had happened and

what you think is going to happen. No not think, we trust you; I trust you and

you’re right. Now tell them what they have to do” Yoona looked at Jessica as she

put the phone on speaker phone. Yuri stood in disbelief everything hitting her at

once, how had she even got involved in something so unbelievable she honestly

thought this was a dream she couldn't wake up from.

“Yuri I want to speak with you first, we’re going to have to ask you to go

and report what you know. That being said Jessica and a group that you guys are

with are going with you, I’m saying the same as I did to Tiffany keep a few on the

grounds to protect the camp. Yuri I know this is new to you, we need you to stay

strong.”

“I understand I’ll try to do my best” Yuri stutter trying to gain more

confidence. Jessica looked at the dark haired girl.

“Jessica this is going to be hard you’re going to have to fight as hard as

you can. Make sure as many people get back safe as they can, you’ve always been

great a keeping people in line. You’re going to be Yuri’s protection, once Yuri

enters and sends the broadcast. You’re going to need to be prepared to fight. Let

Yuri go in first and the rest of the elites stay hidden as well as they can.” Seohyun

paused taking a breath.

“I got it boss” Jessica smirked trying to stay strong, as she always was.

“Yoona, were the only ones with phones. You go with Jessica, I’m going

with Tiffany to face my father.”

“Seohyun let me go with you, wait even better you should stay back at

camp”

“Yoona trust me, call me when everything’s done and you’re safe. I’ll

call you as well, Yoona we’re heading out now. Take Yuri there now.” Seohyun

hung up the phone leaving a much shaken Yoona. Yoona breathed in looking at the

others who now looked upon her.

“Jessica you heard her, get the others. Yuri come with me.”

News

Yuri walked down the road trying to stay as normal as possible she looked towards

Yoona who stayed at a distance. Yoona nodded trying to give Yuri some

confidence that she wasn’t alone. Yuri swallowed as she reached the broadcast

station. She exhaled as she reached for the door, she opened it sliding in. She

walked towards the desk, which she thought might help on how she may be able to

get the news across. Yoona smiled watching from the door as she snuck into the

building trying to stay unseen.

“Hello, uhm” Yuri stuttered lightly which garnered the attention from the

secretary. She looked up from her computer looking at Yuri with curious eyes.

Yuri knew what she had to do; Yuri smirked as she made eye contact with the

young lady. “Sorry to bug you but if someone had a potentially news worth story,

where would they be directed to?” Yuri leaned against the desk trying to put her

arm on overload. The girl smiled slightly getting a little awkward form Yuri’s body

language.

“Well depends what news worth is, it would take several days to be

screened by our people here to see if it is indeed news or not.” The girl stated

confidently, Yuri smiled taking the hint that the girl wanted her gone.

“Well at least here me out, wouldn’t be fair if you didn’t right?” Yuri

winked at the now awkwardly blushing girl. Yuri swore she heard someone stomp

from above, possibly the roof but everyone just kind of brushed it off.

“Okay I suppose, come with me I’ll show you too one of our directors”

The girl stood up from the desk leading Yuri to a room. Yoona sighed knowing

this was going to be harder to get the timing right. “Excuse me Sir, this woman

claims to have something that we would be interested in.” The man turned around

eyeing Yuri, Yuri smiled trying to look charming for everyone in the room. The

secretary took her leave and Yuri sat in front of the man.

“So what is it you think we should air” He sighed still looking Yuri over.

“If I said it had something to with the government, would you dare to air

it then?”

“What are hinting at?”

“Well let’s say the government was planning to kill over a species none

of the city has heard of”

“You expect me to believe such blatant lies?”

“Well that’s not the entire story. What is I said that species was actually

created by the government?” Yuri smirked leaning back in her seat. She crossed

her legs trying to draw attention to her attractive qualities trying to lure him in.

“You should come in saying such claims miss” he mumbled looking at

Yuri’s legs now.

“Oh well what can I do” Yuri shrugged getting up from her seat. “You

may have just blew it, but I might give you another chance” Yuri smiled exiting

the room into the lobby where the secretary looked at her with a smile. Yoona saw

Yuri look towards the doors which Yoona was trying to stay hidden. Yuri nodded

and Yoona knew what she had to do. She opened her phone locating the files

Seohyun had managed to wire to her. She entered the address of the director, she

smiled sending the files. She sighed as she opened the next file, the video exposing

the powers. She typed the address of the director again regretfully sending the

powers they had captured on video. Yoona nodded towards Yuri as she exited the

building. She walked behind the building greeted by Jessica who didn’t look all

that happy. Yoona chuckled catching on to what that loud bang was earlier.

“You got one of the others to listen to Yuri?” Yoona couldn’t help but

laugh even in this situation.

“Shut up” Jessica crossed her arms waiting for when Yuri was going to

come out. “Just be ready to get out of her when he sends the officials after us,

you’ll be a target too.”

Yuri smirked crossing her arms as she heard the director call out to her. He looked

stunned from all the news he had just taken in. Yuri walked towards him pushing

him back in his office.

“Run the news now, with me here I need to monitor how this goes. There

are many lives at risk, many of those lives I’ve grown to care about. The

government ruined them, don’t you dare hide this because they could ruin you.”

Yuri said taking over the mask she had to lure them in. She showed how

threatening she could be now, and she used it to get her way. The man gulped

readying himself for the news break of his career.

Seohyun looked the military building from a far; she looked back at the many

people behind her. How was she supposed to hide all these people? Her best bet

was everyone to come in from different sides after Seohyun had entered herself.

“Alright here’s the plan, you guys split up coming from different sides. I

will enter now to talk to my father, come in ready from a fight ten minutes after I

enter.” Seohyun sighed trying to make eye contact with everyone. She closed her

eyes trying to stop the flooding of everyone’s thoughts.

“I’ll come with you” Taeyeon said as she noticed how Tiffany couldn’t

contain her worry. Tiffany grabbed Taeyeons hand now concerned for both girls.

“Don’t worry I’ll protect your friend” Taeyeon smiled towards Tiffany, hoping she

would stop worrying about Seohyun if she went with her. Taeyeon disappeared and

Seohyun nodded to everyone as they headed towards the building.

Once inside the building Seohyun was confident on where to go, she kept a smile

on her face trying not to show weakness. She ran quickly hoping Taeyeon was

keeping up, she tried to avoid any places she knew would be crawling with

officials. Taeyeon sighed as she chased after Seohyun, what was she going to do if

anyone actually tried to hurt Seohuyn. Seohyun entered into her father’s office,

waiting a moment hoping it was long enough for Taeyeon to enter. She locked the

door behind her; she walked towards the computer sitting on the desk. Taeyeon

appeared beside the girl, as she watched Seohyun enter the correct passwords.

“How did you know he wouldn’t be here?” Taeyeon asked in

amazement, Seohyun nonchalantly pointed towards her head. Taeyeon smiled

watching as Seohyun began to access all the screens located within the building.

Seohyun prepared herself as she set up the camera; she knew the screens were in

every main room of the building. Her father had placed them there so he could

easily get his messages heard and seen. Seohyun looked towards Taeyeon, the

shorter girl only nodded as she knew it was time to vanish. Seohyun turned on the

stream, she sighed as she readied herself to speak.

“Hello, this is Seo Juhyun, well many of you may have called me

monster, but also I would have been called daughter. To my father the president

who tried so hard to keep me and my fellow elites hidden, what a grave mistake

you have made, you have lost all control you had thought you had. If you ever

thought you were great leader, I will like to remind you, that you are sadly

mistaken. To everyone else here, I ask you to seriously think over where your

loyalties lie. Oh and if any of you are mistaken, Yes this is me letting you know of

the attack you are about the face. In right about….” Seohyun paused smiling as she

began to hear the thoughts of the elites that were entering the building. “Now”

Seohyun turned off the camera closing her eyes trying to get her breath back.

Taeyeon made herself visible again, patting Seohyun on the shoulder proud of the

girl. Seohyun heard the knock on the door, stood up from her seat. Taeyeon readied

herself from the ones that entered. Mr. Seo stood behind five officials, her smirked

as the officials closed in the two girls. Taeyeon began to fight although she knew

she had no chance of overcoming the five people coming at them.

beginning

Tiffany walked into the building greeted by a wall of officials. She sighed readying

herself of what she was going to have to do. She flared up her hand, hoping it

would scare the officials and give them some kind of leverage. The officials moved

closer on order from the President, Tiffany saw the fear that was on some of their

faces. She looked back towards the people that trusted her to lead, she closed her

eyes trying to gain the confidence she had built. She gestured her free hand telling

them it was time to go forth with the violence. Tiffany glared towards the officials;

she smirked as they stood amazed by the speed of some of the elites. Tiffany threw

her fire towards the officials setting some ablaze. She looked away before the

impact not wanting to know the damage her power could do. She heard the cries

from some of the injured officials; they mixed with the cries of the injured elites.

Tiffany raised her hand catching the attention of everyone. She had enough she

wasn’t going to stand for this; there was no difference between these two groups of

people. She lit up her whole body with a beautiful flame, her hair whipping along

with the alluring flames.

“Stop now. Leave the officials; we have more important things to do.”

Tiffany glared at everyone trying to move on with this so there were no more

casualties. The subjects followed behind her, but she didn't dared to look back to

see how many of them were missing. She looked up being greeted by the glare of

an official, she smirked at how tough he tried to be. “I suggest you leave, I’m

sparing your life, because you are no better than me, and I am not better than you.

We are the same.” Tiffany stared into him hoping her strong tone would leave a

lasting impression. He stepped aside dropping his weapon, Tiffany nodded her

head thankful she had the will to stay this strong. She walked down the hallway

still ablaze, although she made sure not to cause any damage, this was purely just

for show. Tiffany knew she looked threatening, the mere thought of a fire breaking

out causes people to worry. Tiffany also knew many people are drawn in by fire;

she wanted to captivate others as well as scare them.

Jessica grabbed Yuri’s arm as she ran behind the building. Yuri held tight on to

Jessica scared for what she saw coming when she was running.

“The news report is out, I saw them. They’re coming.” Yuri spoke

silently, and Jessica could see the fear in Yuri. Jessica nodded grabbing the dark

haired girl’s hand pulling her up in front of a dumpster. Jessica smiled as she

noticed the others telling her the officials were closing in. She placed her hand

gently on Yuri’s cheek. Yuri closed her eyes noticing how cold she felt, but it also

made Yuri feel warm inside.

“Stay inside this dumpster, until I come for you. Don’t move, don’t make

any sounds. You protected me and kept me safe all this time, it’s time for me to

take that roll” Jessica smiled as she leaned in capturing the girl’s lips. Yuri’s

heartbeat began to steady as she climbed into the dumpster trying not to think of

what may happen to Jessica. Jessica closed the lid to the dumpster, her expression

changed from a smile to a glare in a second. She looked towards the others, trying

to make eye contact.

“Let’s go” She yelled building up her anger for the officials. She looked

towards Yoona, Yoona smiled pulling out the gun she had from being an official.

Yoona ran off first trying to find a place to stay unseen but still be able to fight.

Jessica closed her eyes trying to build up all the strength she had to do this fight.

She focused on her ability trying to bring it to something the officials would be

scared of something they would not want to mess with. She walked out from

behind the building clenching her fists, she tried to look over all the officials but it

seemed like there was too many to count. She looked at all the confused civilians.

Maybe they had just witnessed the news cast, or maybe they had no clue of what

may happen. The officials began to approach and Jessica reacted the only way she

could, she froze the ground in front of the approaching officials. She smirked as

she saw them struggling with their balance, here she was trying to be tough but

instead she was the comic relief.

Frozen

“Having a problem?” Jessica smiled, slowly walking a head of her pack. She

looked down at her hands as she produced an ice shard. She made eye contact with

one of the officials; she smirked trying to show her lack of fear. “Go” She uttered

one word and the rest of the affected subjects went forth to make it through the

officials block. Jessica ran forward dodging hits from the imposing officials; she

wanted to stop the fight without all the destruction. Jessica felt pain in her arm as

she looked to see an official smirking with their gun held high. She looked at her

arm noticing the blood that was now flowing at a steady pace. She glared at the girl

freezing what she could of her arm, so she would be able to ignore the pain. She

threw out shards of ice; turning her back a she heard the impact. She sighed to

herself not wanting to disappoint Tiffany. She knew how much Tiffany was against

killing, even before when they were known as the elites. Jessica looked at the

others fighting, she smiled knowing every one of them was now an elite. She

looked towards the boy with the earth ability; he smiled as he took prided in his

strange tactics. Jessica looked towards the tree’s that were set as decoration in the

city, and saw two officials held by the branches he had manipulated. He smiled

towards her; Jessica smiled back feeling proud of all the others. The more she

looked the more she noticed none of elites were trying to kill; they were trying to

hold everyone back. She heard a yell and looked over to see the boy who had just

been smiling lying on the ground. She turned around trying to see who could have

caused this; she made eye contact with a man before she felt something pierce her

back.

Taeyeon woke up feeling pain all over her body; she blinked trying to see again.

She felt liquid on her forehead; she reached her hand up touching the spot. She

looked and saw the blood that was coming from a deep wound on her forehead.

She looked around the room she was now in trying to find any trace of Seohyun,

she had promised to keep her safe. She groaned as she stood up, she began to take

steps towards the door. He wobble legs barely making it, she held her head trying

to come back to her senses. Before she could reach the door, it opened by itself

exposing a very hot Tiffany, Tiffany looked at Taeyeon immediately dropping her

fiery act. Taeyeon smiled slightly trying to show that nothing was wrong, although

Tiffany could see it was the opposite of that. Tiffany gestured to the rest to head

towards the hangar where the planes were kept.

“Where’s Seohyun” Tiffany said looking around the room just as

Taeyeon had. Taeyeon blinked finally gaining all her vision back. Taeyeon noticed

Tiffany’s clothing as a little burnt, she tried not to look too much. “Yeah I forgot

to not burn my clothing for a moment.” She said trying to cover up her stomach

that now showed a little. She grabbed Taeyeon’s hand with a smile, just glad that

the girl had managed to stay alive for this long.

“We should get going we have to help” Taeyeon said leaning against

Tiffany for support. Tiffany wrapped her arm around Taeyeon’s waist as they

walked down the hallway. “What about the elites?” Taeyeon asked concerned by

how open Tiffany was in the hallway.

“Don’t worry I think I’ve scared them off, or made them join our side.”

She smiled looking down at the bleeding girl. “How do you always get hurt”

Tiffany stopped walking looking at Taeyeon in the eyes. She smiled before leaning

in and kissing the girl lightly, Taeyeon’s eyes shot open not sure how to react to

the sudden intimacy between the two.

“It doesn’t matter if I get hurt, you believed in me. Now let’s go end this

before things get way out of hand” Taeyeon smiled kissing Tiffany on the cheek

finally gain the confidence to approach Tiffany in such a way.

Time to talk.

Yoona ran from where she had been hiding silently, she ran towards the fallen

Jessica. She looked around looking for the official that caused this but she noticed

they all began to flee back towards the base. Yoona looked at all the other elites

giving them the sign to follow them. She picked Jessica up trying not to disturb the

girl too much, she ran to the dumpster where she knew Yuri hid.

“Yuri, its Yoona. Jessica needs you” Yoona yelled well looking at the

slow breathing girl. Yuri popped up from the dumpster the moment she heard

Jessica, she looked to see the blonde in Yoonas arms. Yoona looked away not

wanting to see the pain on Yuri’s face as she passed the limp girl to her.

“Take her back to the camp, ask for Hyoyeon. Taeyeon told me she’s a

healer, hurry.” Yuri nodded taking off before Yoona could even say anything else.

Yoona closed her eyes trying to get the image of Jessica out of her mind. She

looked in the direction everyone else had gone, she groaned as she ran to catch up

with them.

Seohyun was dragged into the hanger where her father and the left over officials

sat. Seohyun groaned as they threw her to the ground. She was too weak to try to

tap into anyone’s thoughts; she tried to stand up again to regain her dignity. She

stood up leaning against the wall not having the strength to bare the weight of

herself.

“Hello my daughter, are you here to see what will kill you?” President

Seo smirked, as he heard the engines to the planes start up. Seohyun winced in pain

pushing herself away from the wall, she walked towards her father.

“You take pride in ruining your own blood.” Seohyun glared at him

trying to cause him to feel something. Tiffany walked in leading the elites she had

caught up with Taeyeon stayed invisible as she limped along trying to make her

way towards the planes. Tiffany flared up again remembering she had to keep the

act up to draw everyone in. She kept a distance from the planes and fuel not

wanting something that big to happen. President Seo looked at the elites that

flooded in with a smirk on her face. He began to laugh as she approached his

daughter, he laughed louder as she looked into Seohyun’s eyes.

“You will never beat me. I have the control.” He smirked as Seohyun

tried to keep an expressionless face. Yoona ran in behind Tiffany’s group of elites,

she noticed Tiffany had managed to save more than Yoona’s group had. Yoona

looked towards Seohyun running to be by her side not caring what may happen.

She grabbed Seohyun trying to keep the girl standing up right. Yoona glared at the

man who dared to call Seohyun his daughter.

Taeyeon walked along the inside of one of the flights not sure on how she was

going to stop this. She walked towards the cockpit of the plane hoping some

answers could be found there. She sighed noticing the pilots getting ready to head

to the runway. She pulled together her thoughts and looked at the controls in front

of the pilots well this can’t be too hard can it. She leaned over trying not to disturb

the pilots, she began pressing random buttons and she noticed the facial

expressions on the pilots change. She leaned back when she noticed them leaning

towards her, they shut off the plane.

“Looks like it’s having technical problems, we’ll have to wait to load up

a new plane.” The pilot sighed exiting the cockpit. Taeyeon smiled to herself,

thinking she didn’t have to do anything too bad after all. She walked out finding

her place next to Tiffany who still stayed very much inflamed. Taeyeon smiled

towards one of the girls she knew from camp. She gestured for the girl to come

over well the president was busy with Seohyun. Tiffany kept her eye on all of the

officials to see if they would move in on the elites, although they heavily

outnumbered them at this point in time.

“Use you electrical charge to bring down all the planes electrical”

Taeyeon whispered to the girl. The girl smiled secretly doing her thing, she made

sure to stay unnoticed as she sent electrical charges that were sure to break the

systems. President Seo turned towards the planes furrowing his brows in anger and

confusion.

Yuri ran to the camp as fast she could, not caring about her lack of ability. Her legs

became numb after running that much but she knew she had to get Jessica there as

quick as she could. She ran into Hyoyeon’s medical tent she had set up in

preparation for the injuries that may come her way. Hyoyeon looked up from the

desk she sat at seeing the distraught Yuri carrying the seemingly lifeless Jessica.

Hyoyeon motioned to Yuri to quickly lay Jessica on the available bed. Hyoyeon

began to exam Jessica noticing the wounds. Hyoyeon place her hand on Jessica’s

stomach able to feel were the gun had wounded her on her back. Hyoyeon smiled

although it wasn’t that best news she still could save Jessica. She turned to Yuri

motioning for her to come close to Jessica.

“Hold her hand. I can only heal her back, the fatal wound with my

powers. She’ll be in pain when she comes too” Hyoyeon smiled weakly as Yuri

nodded grabbing Jessica hand hoping Hyoyeon could just fix her. Hyoyeon

focused on the wound putting all her thoughts on just the opened sore located on

the blondes back. Jessica’s eyes opened as she tried to muffle her scream from the

pain she felt from her arm. Hyoyeon smiled knowing she had healed Jessica back;

she applauded to herself trying to lighten the mood. “Now let’s get this arm

bandaged up. You’ll have to heal this one on your own” Hyoyeon stuck out her

tongue only to be greeted by a glare from the girl in pain. Yuri smiled down at

Jessica as Hyoyeon began to bandage her arm up.

“You should have stayed safe” Yuri said lightly flicking the blonde on

her head. Jessica just rolled her eyes trying to ignore the pain her arm was in.

Safe?

Tiffany smirked at the man who seemed confused by the tactics the elites had used.

He had viewed them as no more than dirt, and now they had somehow managed to

overturn him. He looked towards the officials that just stood not knowing what to

do.

“What are you doing? Go after them” He yelled gesturing towards the

elites that stood behind Tiffany. Tiffany smiled towards the officials knowing they

wouldn’t dare go against the number of elites that were there. They dropped their

weapons walking towards the side of the elites.

“I’m sorry sir, but your control has ended” One official boldly stated

taking their leave. Seohyun looked at her father who still was acting like he had the

upper hand.

“I am your president. You do as I say; none of you would be here if it

wasn’t for me.” He yelled finally having enough of everyone stupidity. Seohyun

laughed a little finding her father’s loss of control funny.

“Give up already.” Yoona said as she tried to hold her smile in. They

heard banging on the hangar doors, followed by yelling. Tiffany smiled walking

over pressing the switch that opens the hangar doors. When the doors finally lifted

it revealed an army, the elites smiled to themselves.

“President Seo we’re from city Seven.” One of the army men said

grabbing a hold of Mr. Seo’s arm. “You’ve gone against every rule set in place

when the cities were divided, we have no choice but to revoke your activities as the

leader of Seventeen.”

“What are you saying, how dare you even say that. If you don’t

remember I’ve aided your city man times in your times of need. Yet here you say I

need to revoke my right as president. Who would lead better than I?” President Seo

raised his eyebrow in annoyance.

“I’m sorry sir.” The man said placing handcuffs to restrain the man from

trying to get away afterwards. “We’ll be taking you to Five” the military man

nodded towards Seohyun as she tossed Mr. Seo towards one of his men. “I’m

assuming you know what Five is?” He directed his questioning to Seohyun.

Seohyun smiled nodding; she couldn’t help but contain her happiness.

“Sorry, but you’re taking him to another city?” Yoona chimed in clearly

not aware of much more than her own city.

“Five was made for the people who make society break. Basically it’s a

prison.” Seohyun smiled towards Yoona.

Yoona and Seohyun walked off with the people from Seven to discuss future

planning for the cities management. Tiffany and Taeyeon guided the rest home to

the camp safely. Tiffany smiled as she held on to Taeyeon’s, Taeyeon looked up

seeing the red heads beautiful smile. She led Tiffany into her house wanting to get

away from everyone. She sighed plopping on her bed, Tiffany chuckled at the

dorks actions.

“Sit up” Tiffany order and Taeyeon lazily did as she was instructed.

Tiffany began to clean Taeyeons wound she had received. The shorter girl couldn’t

help but think over the events that had happened in the past few weeks. She

wondered how life could change so fast, she now was able to be free. She was no

longer ashamed of being who she was; she could go into the city and live a normal

life.

“It feels weird, like nothing changed. But everything had?” Taeyeon said

trying to make sense of her thoughts. Tiffany nodded as she placed a bandage on

the girls head.

“I understand, it’s probably going to be hard to adjust to.” Tiffany lay

down on the bed trying to organize her thoughts too. Taeyeon joined her; they

stared at the ceiling in silence before Tiffany began to speak again. “It’s funny,

were all probably going to have a harder time adjusting to no rules.” Taeyeon

nodded knowing what Tiffany had meant. “Although all of us girls had broken the

rules anyway, so it’s not like they really meant anything to us.” Taeyeon looked

and the girl now intrigued by what she was hearing. Tiffany noticed Taeyeon’s

eyes on her, and she rolled on her side to meet them. “Well think about it. With me

and you, you’re the one person I shouldn’t even have talked with, I should have

killed you.” Taeyeon nodded knowing where this was going.

“Oh and Jessica exposed herself to a human” Tiffany nodded knowing

Taeyeon had finally understood what she meant. “Then there is Seohyun and

Yoona. I see what you mean now” Taeyeon began to laugh; maybe it wouldn’t be

such a big change. “Okay how about we make a deal?”

“Okay?”

“We won’t change anything. You’re still you, I’m still me. No matter

what that doesn’t change, the fact that we wanted to be around each other doesn’t

change either.”

“Okay”

“One thing might have to change though” The door opened breaking

Taeyeon from her thoughts, there stood the tall girl Taeyeon had thought was gone.

Sooyoung smiled although clearly she was badly beaten up. Tiffany looked

towards the tall girl she had always had attitude for, she was still glad she had

made it safe.

“I thought you didn’t make it?” Taeyeon stood up hugging her friend.

Sooyoung chuckled pushing the girl away from her.

“You thought it would be that easy to get rid of me?” Sooyoung smiled

looking at Tiffany mouthing thank you. Sooyoung was thankful that Tiffany had

managed to bring Taeyeon back her smiling state; also that she had brought her

home safe.

“How did you get out?”

“I always have my ways” Sooyoung winked knowing it wasn’t the right

time to explain the happenings of that night. Sooyoung waved wanting to give the

girls the alone time she knew they wanted and needed. Hyoyeon saw Sooyoung

walked back towards the medical tent. Hyoyeon smiled at the tall girl happy the

girl had come home earlier that night. Hyoyeon was the one that saved her friend

that night; after all just because she had healing powers it didn’t mean she couldn’t

kick butt.

Jessica sat up from the bed, waking Yuri who had passed out sitting up. Yuri

wiped her drool hoping that Jessica wouldn’t have seen her in such an

embarrassing way. The blonde smiled at the girl who had managed to get her to

safety despite having no real strengths.

“Have a nice sleep” Jessica winked at Yuri trying not to laugh. Yuri

frown at Jessica’s teasing remarks, but nodded her head in response anyway. “Well

that’s good, I need you rested.”

“Why?” Yuri asked slightly concerned.

“Well we’re going to start dating normally, and you can’t fall asleep

then.” Jessica smiled knowing finally she could be like everyone else. She didn’t

have to hide herself anymore, now that the secret of the elites was out into the

world. Of course she knew people would look at her differently, and she knew that

some people may not even like her because of it. But at least she had the chance to

be who she is and not be ashamed of it any longer.

“Okay. Dating.” Yuri simply said smiling as she remembered the

moment she and Jessica had met. . It was only fitting that they met on one of the

coldest days of the year. She smirked as she looked over Jessica’s beautiful

features, even though it was cold that day you still looked amazing she thought to

herself. Yuri liked that Jessica was able to be warm inside despite her cold exterior.

Yoona smiled at Seohyun as they made their way back to camp. Yoona was so

proud of the girl, she had managed to bring everything together, and this win was

definitely because of Seohyun. Seohyun sighed as she began to recall all the events

of the night.

“So are you excited?” Yoona ask as she wrapped her arm around the

girl’s waist helping her into the camp.

“Why would I be excited?” Seohyun asked looked towards the girl who

had made her way into Seohyun’s personal space.

“Well you are the acting President.” Yoona smirked at the girl trying to

get a smile from the still saddened girl.

“That I am.” Seohyun sighed not sure how she was fit to be the

president. She had met with the leaders from Seven, they approved her of being the

best fit candidate until an election could be held. Yoona stopped Seohyun as she

tried to continue into the camp to help everyone move back into the city.

“I think you’re going to be the best” Yoona smiled patting the girls head

lovingly. Seohyun looked at the girl who smiled at her. Wondering how everything

came to this, her now being trusted with every one’s wellbeing. She looked around

studying Yoona’s features; she noticed the bags under her eyes from how

exhausted she must have been. She remembered so well how Yoona had hated her

before, Seohyun still held on to some belief that maybe Yoona still did.

“I’m not a monster am I?”

“Why would you ask that?” Yoona asked her expression getting far too

serious for Seohyun’s liking. Seohyun began to panic and somehow Yoona caught

on this, she changed her expression to a soft smile. “You’re beautiful Seo Juhyun.

You’re not a monster, you’re strong, you’re… You are simply amazing.” Yoona

smiled hoping to make the girl stop worrying about the past. Seohyun smiled

leaning in kissing Yoona on the cheek before hurrying off to see how Jessica was.

Yoona placed a hand on her cheek before chuckling. “You’re crazy!” She yelled

after the running girl.

At that moment although nothing was perfect everyone was able to have a smile

showcased on their faces. They had finally proved they had control over

themselves; they finally had the right to be free. For song long they had been

viewed as something so terrible, because no one really was able to understand

them. Misunderstandings upon misunderstanding made the belief that they were

dangerous, that they would kill you throwing away all morals. The ignorance of

everyone spawned the hurt and destruction, no one dared to question what they

were being fed. The only thing left to wonder about is, what made them think they

were safe now.
