From the Pastor’s Desk Ryan Borgman and Jaclyn Kowalski were united in the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony on Saturday, July 22nd here at St. Rose. Luke Thomas Hupp was welcomed into the Christian community through the sacrament of Baptism on Sunday, July 23rd here at St. Rose. This weekend, we will have our quarterly collection for the Society of St. Vin- cent de Paul, which helps the needy in our area. Ushers will be at the doors of church following Mass. Thank you for your generosity. Do you know anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic Church? St. Rose RCIA is starting on September 9th at 10:00 a.m. It will be held at the Rec- tory. Married couples celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in 2017 are invited to attend the archdiocesan Golden Anniversary Mass, presided by Bishop Joseph Binzer, on August 12th at 4:30 p.m. at St. Peter in Chains Cathedral. The Comboni Missionaries Auxiliary will hold its bi-monthly Rummage Sale this Friday, August 4th, 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.; Comboni Mission Ctr., 1318 Nagel Rd. 45255, $6.00 bag sale. Furniture, clothing, housewares, and miscellaneous items. Global Mission Advocates (GMA) are needed from each parish/region of the Archdiocese. The Mission Office is working on a collaborative network to in- clude points of contact in each parish of the Archdiocese. GMAs have an inter- est in promoting global solidarity, welcoming the stranger, collaborating and building the kingdom of God. Each parish is unique—activities may include assisting, promoting, or collaborating with events in your parish such as: World Mission Sunday, Missionary Co-op Plan, possibly twinning (or sister parish), mission trips, or other mission related initiatives at your parish/school.
