Life and Death went to battle and we know who won, Life! Thanks be to God! Death was defeated. In heaven, victory is sung and we can indeed proclaim to our own souls and to others that Je- sus Christ is the Mighty Victor. If we have been raised with Christ, let us then strive for the things that are above where He is seated at the right of God, the Father, setting our hearts on the things of heaven and not on those of the earth. In a very special way, this Sunday we will remember the Ascension of Christ into glory and splendor where he receives praise and honor and for all eternity. Remembering unleashes blessing into our lives, as Our Lord commanded “Do This in memory of me”, indeed it is from Christ from whom all blessings flow. Even though our Lord ascends into heaven, he does not leave us orphans and\or defenseless for he promises to send us another Paraclete or someone who is called alongside to help. The Holy Spirit is this Paraclete, he is called alongside us to be our defender and consoler in this time of Christ’s return to the Fa- ther, even though he is still undoubtedly with us in the nature of a sacrament, especially in the Sacrament of the Eucharist. Nonetheless, we can imitate the Paraclete in our lives by coming alongside others as help and consolation in their time of need. Don’t forget to begin your novena to the Holy Spirit, this Friday or after, as we follow the pattern of the first apostles who went back to their room, the upper one to pray and to await an outpouring of the amazing gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit, our Paraclete, defender and consoler in our time of need. Este es tu sacerdote asociado favorito o al menos el único en todo Anderson, Indiana, el Padre Mark y espero por medio de este mensaje se encuentren bien y que todavía estén celebrando con fervor esta temporada de alegría y de gozo en honor del Cristo Resucitado. La vida y la muerte lucharon. ¿Y quién gano? La vida gracias a Dios. La muerte fue vencida. En el cielo, se canta victoria y de hecho podemos anunciar a nuestras propias almas y a otros que Jesucristo es tu vencedor poderoso. Si hemos sido resucitados con Cristo, aspiremos por las cosas del cielo donde Cristo está sentado a la derecha de Dios, poniendo nuestros corazones en las cosas de arriba y no en las de la tierra. De una manera muy especial, este domingo recordaremos esta ascensión de Cristo a la gloria y al esplendor, dehecho, suyos son el honor y el poder por eternidades de eternidades, Al recordar desencadena las bendiciones a nuestras vidas, así como Nuestro Señor dijo “Haz esto en memoria mía”
A pesar de que nuestro Señor ascendió al cielo, no nos dejó huérfanos o indefensos ya que el nos prometió a enviarnos a otro Paráclito o aquel que es llamado junto a uno. El Espíritu Santo es este Paráclito, el que está llamado a nuestro lado para ser nuestro defensor y consolador en estos tiempos del regreso de Cristo al Padre, pese a que todavía está indudablemente con nosotros en la naturaleza de un sacramento, especialmente en el Sacramento de la Eucaristía. . No obstante, podemos imitar al Paracleto en nuestras vidas al unirnos a otros como ayuda y consuelo en su momento de necesidad.
