Severe weather phenomena tookplace over few parts of (H.P) which located in southern part of IRAN

In this study we discuss the severe instability over (H.P) during summer season on Agust 2005

In afternoon 8th Aug 2005 before rainfall started ,a dust storm strike (central;northern& eastern parts

Of (H.P)) including (feen;hajiabad& bashagerd areas). The wind speed reached 100KMS/Hr; the Visibility reduce to 200meters

After few minuts the instability changed to severe thunder storm then the rain fall occured with hail Shower.

Serious damage is caused to the infrastructures;trees tearout or breaked; power plant and more than 4000 square kilometers of rural and orban grounds destroyd

It was found that the interaction of two currents lead to pressure gradient over (h.p) one high

Pressure(cool&dry) which descending from EUROPE area through north of IRAN and the other one is heat low pressure over most part

Of iran and with humid which ascending from persian gulf and oman sea then by enough Cooling due to pressure gradient and the orographic effects produced severe t.shower; flash flood and strong Wind just for very short rang foercasting(VSRF) about (0-5) hrs.

In this study hourly satellite imagery(metrosat7) for four days respectivly was showed development Convective clouds investigated.

Although with the products of the numerical; msl ;uppercharts and precipitation accumulations ranging Charts for 12-96hrs were examined.

Also hourly local station data and used skew-t diagrams for same period were used to have a clear

Picture of sitution.

In summer season the rain in (h.p) is to less such it approch zero except the north and east parts of (h.p) Have severe t.storm;thunderbolt& heavy shower.

The rain amount during season specially on August month over (bashagerd; feen and hajiabad areas)is

More than 300mm mostly associated with flash flood.

In this study efforts were made to high light some of the economic and social benefts of (VSRF).

Which the (VSRF) can play vitale role in aviation sector and warning marine forecasting the

Positive on aviation users in terms of commitment & satisfacation, iranian aviation suffered of

Delay or non operation flight due to bad weather which loss several million in a month.

The forecasting center usually issued long and (VSRF) such as flight forecast;marine warning;

Sports and transportion and agriculture forecasts . The daily forecasts based on observation data; calculated data using Satellite image and charts.

Unfortunatly most of eastern parts rainfall directly fall to OMAN SEA

but recently the energr ministry build Several types of dams for supply water over the rivers of jageen; minab;gabreeg & sadeeg using to Agriculture; produce electricty....etc

Finaly in order to increase the accuracy of nowcasting and very short range forecasting in sss of iran is by

Using radars and suitable model improving & radiosonde network.
