STREET SOCCER USA: SOCCER WITH PURPOSE
Street Soccer USA (SSUSA) is a premier social enterprise in the United States using sports to make
measurable social change. Street Soccer USA uses the power of soccer to help homeless and at-risk
youth, men and women dramatically transform their lives.
The Street Soccer USA West Coast Cup, hosted in partnership with the SF Recreation & Parks
Department and the Housing, Opportunity, Partnerships and Engagement Office of Mayor Lee,
marked the first event on the West Coast for SSUSA. Over the course of 2 days, 490 players from 7
cities competed, with more than 20,000 spectators attending the matches in Justin Herman Plaza in
downtown San Francisco, California. Games were hosted on SSUSA custom built 4v4 courts and
played according to the SSUSA Association rules.
