Subject: Applications for the Executive Committee 2020-2023 Position Applied for: Member at Large. Dear Sir, I am applying for the position of the Member at Large for the Executive Committee 2020-2023. I have been associated with the WFITN for more than a decade and half. I am actively involved in the training and development of neurointervention in Asia pacific region. I have been organising Delhi course on Neurointervention for the past 14 years in New Delhi, India. This course is a well established learning course for the beginner and advance learning by the practicing INR of the region. I have been a founder chairman of Stroke & Neurointervention Foundation (SNIF) a non-profit organisation registered with the government of India and has been active in imparting training and continuing education in neurointervention by organising workshops and running a structured fellowship program. I have organised WFITN-Functional Vascular anatomy course in November 2017 in New Delhi which was a great success. Through Stroke and Neurointervention Foundation I have offered SNIF -Travel Scholarship for the WFITN functional Anatomy course to be held in Lisbon and then in New Delhi. Through this scholarship the deserving candidates were given a travel grant though SNIF to participate in WFITN functional vascular anatomy course. Vision for WFITN: I envisage to expand the reach of WFITN in Asia Pacific region especially south east Asia through conducting educational, training and research activities under the umbrella of WFITN. I look at WFITN as a parent body defining and guiding practices of neurointervention in a uniform manner all across the globe and seek a patient oriented approach to help benefit the patients in need. Develop a Fellowship program in neurointervention for the developing nations under active guidance and supervision of WFITN. I submit my application for the member at large for the executive committee of WFITN for the year 2020-2023 supported with abbreviated CV along with two reference letters from the members of the WFITN. If elected, I assure to members of WFITN to work constructively for the advancement of the agenda of WFITN over the term 2020-2023. Kindly consider my application for the mentioned position.
