Design Festival Hotel Procurement- Business Matching Meetings
HDE is an annual assembly bringing Asia’s hospitality communitytogether to share business opportunities in China’s burgeoning market.
China’s tourism industry is developing rapidly. Alongside accelerated urbanisation, the local hotel industry is
becoming more competitive and the international hotel groups are making inroads into China. The market will be
worth RMB 295 billion in 2013, and the year-on-year growth rate will reach 9.26%. At present, there are 1,700 star-
rated hotels under construction. The hospitality industry is a vigorous market which has led to a large-scale hotel
supplies procurement market full of opportunities. China’s thriving market has attracted a large number of global
hotel supplies companies. A new round of core competitiveness is gradually focusing on brand building and low-
carbon environment management ideas, which together will become the new focus of the hospitality industry. At this
historical starting point, HDE will continue to focus on innovation and green concepts while simultaneously leading
Asia’s hospitality industry towards greater professionalism.
