So what is it?

• Helps better understand the home’s heating patterns and diagnosing issues

with heating

• Reduces the risk of long-term exposure to humidity to the residents.

• Diagnoses issues with a property’s heating system.

• Detects occupancy – by detecting nearby light sources.

What does Intelligence Do?

• Customers can benefit with an estimated 10% reduction in fuel costs

• Helps better understand the home’s heating patterns by sensing window

and doors being open.

• We can record our assets using a bar code.

Therefore when we make repairs we can

swipe the bar code and record the date, time

and replacement part, just by using an app

on the phone.

• We undertake over 160,000 repairs every

year. This will help us track our repairs and

repeat repairs which we currently have no

visibility of.

• These building are home to over 17,000 Riverside customers

• 1,638 fire risk assessments in the past 12 month

• 4,873 fire alarm & equipment servicing visits

• 17,182 communal area inspections

• 2,053 asbestos surveys or re-inspections

• 804 active water hygiene risks managed

• 449 legionella risk assessments completed in the past 12 months

• 419 lift servicing visits and safety inspections per year

• 648 communal heating systems maintained

• 2,036 electrical tests in the past 5 years (390 past 12 months)

Project SHIP

OVERVIEW

Care and Support currently look after approximately 10,000 units of

accommodation across the country to support a range of customers who are

homeless or in housing need.

About 5000 of these beds are in supported housing, which includes:

Hostels for people with complex needs

Specialist services for people with substance use and/or mental health issues,

as well as domestic abuse services

Supported housing for young people, including single parents

Dispersed supported housing services

The remaining 5000 units of accommodation are in retirement living and care

services

OVERVIEW

The size of these services can range from 1 bedroom flats in dispersed

accommodation, to 80 bed hostels under one roof

The quality of these rooms is inconsistent, many rooms being sub-standard making

our customers feel undervalued and not cared for.

For many people they will be coming straight from living on the streets or from

insecure and temporary accommodation.

PLAN To Procure Suppliers to upgrade all existing 5000 rooms to a minimum decent standard.
