    • Keepanyitems(magnifyingglassetc.)outofthelightpathoftheprojector.Thelightpathbeingprojectedfromthe

    lensisextensive,thereforeanykindofabnormalobjectsthatcanredirectlightcomingoutofthelens,cancauseanunpredictableoutcomesuchasafireorinjurytotheeyes.

    Remote Control Precautions

    A Lamp CharacteristicTheprojectorhasahigh-pressuremercurylampasalightsource.Alamphasacharacteristicthatitsbrightnessgraduallydecreaseswithage.Alsorepeatedlyturningthelamponandoffwillincreasethepossibilityofitslowerbrightness.

    CAUTION:• DONOTTOUCHTHELAMPorTHECOLORWHEELimmediatelyafterithasbeenused.Itwillbeextremely

    hot.Turntheprojectoroffandthendisconnectthepowercord.Allowatleastonehourforthelamptocoolbeforehandling.

    • Whenremovingthelampfromaceiling-mountedprojector,makesurethatnooneisundertheprojector.Glassfragmentscouldfallifthelamphasbeenburnedout.

    Clearance for Installing the ProjectorAllowampleclearancebetweentheprojectoranditssurroundingsasshownbelow.AvoidinstallingtheprojectorinaplacewhereairmovementfromtheHVACisdirectedattheprojector.HeatedairfromtheHVACcanbetakeninbytheprojector'sintakevent.Ifthishappens,thetemperatureinsidetheprojectorwillrisetoohighcausingtheover-temperatureprotectortoautomaticallyturnofftheprojectorspower.

    Usingtheprojectorataltitudesapproximately5500feet/1600metersorhigherwithoutsettingto[HIGHALTITUDE]cancausetheprojectortooverheatandtheprotectorcouldshutdown.Ifthishappens,waitacoupleminutesandturnontheprojector.

    • Usingtheprojectorataltitudeslessthanapproximately5500feet/1600metersandsettingto[HIGHALTITUDE]cancausethelamptoovercool,causingtheimagetoflicker.Switch[FANMODE]to[AUTO].

    • Usingtheprojectorataltitudesapproximately5500feet/1600metersorhighercanshortenthelifeofinternalpartssuchasthelamp.

    This section will show you a basic connection to a computer. For information about other connections, see “(2) Making Connections” on page 156.
