The parts are moved through the plant by means of “Power & Free” handling. They are initially pre-treated in an aqueous, wet chemical degreasing and iron phosphate sequence before being ideally coated as they pass through a power spray cabin. The powder coating is then baked in the curing oven. Following cooling, the parts can be passed on for shipment or moved to subse-quent assembly for further process-ing. With this system, MBW boasts the greatest flexibility and offers you the highest surface quality.

The Future needs a PastSustainability is an Integral Part of our Corporate Culture

Our first production plant – an iron hammer works which first went into operation in 1779 – was water driven. We have retained this historic indus-trial monument as a visible symbol of our enduring corporate development.

Our management system is the basis for a systematic control of the processes. We integrate the sus-tainability aspect into this system, thus creating the fundament which ensures that all our employees are committed to their daily actions.

The numerous production processes of our own are constantly subject to enhancements under the sustaina-bility aspect. Internal and external audits monitor the success.

In our product development, the resource use improvement potential is defined early in the process, at the time of compiling the equipment specifications.

Knowledge is the raw material from which the future is made. Since February 2016, we have been offering both our employees and our customers a wide-ranging programme of seminars and advan-ced training courses under the umbrella of the virtual education platform, Hammer Academy. Most of the lecturers are recruited from among the staff and management of the Kurtz Ersa Corporation.

The Hammer Academy is the plat-form which unites the experience gained in a long family tradition with current knowledge in global markets.
