Sugerencias para la Interpretación/Performance Notes

Este canto, basado en el Salmo 95, fue compuesto para una misa de ordenación de sacerdotesen la Diócesis de Phoenix. Queríamos una canción alegre y bilingüe para el salmoresponsorial, así que yo escribí esta pieza. Bob Hurd y yo pensamos que este canto se puedeutilizar también como canto de despedida. Aunque hay partitura para el piano, yo recomiendoque usen guitarras clásicas para darle el ritmo español a la pieza.

This setting of Psalm 96 was written for a priest ordination mass for the Diocese of Phoenix.The office of worship was looking for something bilingual and joyful for the responsorialpsalm, so I came up with this song. In preparing music for this project, it struck both Bob andme that this is also a good song for sending forth. Although there is a piano score, I stronglyrecommend that you use nylon-stringed acoustic guitars to provide a Spanish rhythm andstyle.
