Shelbyville Fertilizer Plant Now Satellite Branch Management & the Board of Directors of Shelby County Co-op have made a decision to discontinue NH3 ser-

vice from our Shelbyville Town branch. Only 450 tons of NH3 moved from Town branch in 2016, representing

only 15% of all sales in the past year. With new commercial developments coming nearby & the liability of con-

verting our storage tanks between NH3 and LP storage annually, safety was a constant concern. Our insurance

carrier and neighboring residential properties were also a strong consideration.

Town branch will be fully operational for fertilizer and chemicals in the Spring and Fall crops seasons while a

skeleton crew will be there in the off-season. Crops office manager, Hollie, will be billing and providing custom-

er needs and products all year! We continue to maintain staff for dry and liquid fertilizer to accommodate all

your needs.

Larry Heger and Steve Spencer will navigate our soil mapping and testing services from our Rays Crossing

branch. Steve continues to provide customer service for all your crops services needs.

Give us a call if you have concerns. We want to hear from you!

Have a safe harvest ~ Crops managers: Carl Clapp, Neil Smith and Mike Gibson

Helping Farmers Help Themselves

Shelby County Co-op

Congrats to Southwestern High School

FFA for sending 4 boys to the Nationals in

Iowa for Crops Scouting and Identifying

bugs, weeds and disease in Crop fields.

The team was able to advance after plac-

ing in the Indiana State competition at

Purdue.

Crops Manager, Neil Smith, gave time to

work with the team and help them along.

GREAT JOB GUYS!

...We THANK YOU To All Our Veterans both Past & Present...

Come see the new dike system that was installed

this fall replacing the old earthen dike at the Rays

Crossing Crops branch. We have increased our stor-

age by 300 ton with 2 new 30,000 gallon tanks.

The 2 tanks are available for partnership with Shelby

County Co-op for higher volume users along with our

on-farm 2500 gallons storage tanks being utilized by

mid-size farmers. Also available at the West Crops

branch is 1 new 30,000 gallon tank for partnership.
