Globally more than 1.3 million people are killed in road traffic crashes every year (WHO)

= 3,562 per day

= 148 per hour

Biggest killer in the OGP industry

In Nigeria: 2010 there were 6,105 deaths recorded in 12,805 RTC

COMMON DRIVING ERRORS AND VIOLATIONS:

Failure to conduct pre- vehicle Inspection

Observation and planning of hazards ahead

Incorrect overtaking

IN VEHICLE MONITORING SYSTEM (IVMS)

In Vehicle Monitoring System

A Driver Improvement Monitor, which comprises of a black-box computer fitted to the vehicle. This box transfers driving trends

and vehicle operating information to a central computer for analysis. We are currently using three types (models) of IVMS:
