UMOM New Day Center— Once a month, members from our congregation go toUMOM to prepare and serve dinner for about 300 adults and children. The mealis planned by the UMOM Catering School, which gives students the opportunity topractice their skills. Funds collected with this offering will provide the food toprepare twelve meals for needy people for the year. This meal is important forpeople with little support or care and they need your help. Valley View Community Food Bank— The purpose of Valley View is to servethose in need with compassion and respect while providing the resources forwholesome, nutritious food. Client intake has seen an increase of almost 70% newfamilies and individuals looking for resources and assistance. Donations are down, which creates a greater need for you to help them meet the growing demand andhelp to keep their doors open. This summer was especially low on food donationsand the shelves were almost bare. Please help your friends and neighbors enjoynutritious food. “Look for something to be thankful and glad over each day, and you will find it…Fill your soul and mind full of love and sympathy and joy...and blessings will follow”.Ella Wheeler Wilcox Please make checks out to: Shepherd of the Hills UMC with notation“Thanksgiving/ChristmasOffering”.
