Detailed Monthly information for the month of June, 2018 Important Policy decisions taken and major achievements during the month: 1. Ministry of Civil Aviation
A. Passengers carried by domestic airlines during Jan-May, 2018 were 571.58 lakhs as against 465.87 lakhs during the corresponding period of previous year thereby registering a growth of 22.69%.
B. Bilateral talks were held between Government of India and Government of
Australia in New Delhi on 18.06.2018 wherein 3rd / 4th freedom open sky offer was made by the Indian side and the same was accepted by Australian side over and above the existing traffic rights available to Australia.
2. Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA)
A. The following CARs have been issued during the month of June, 2018:-
(i) CAR Section 6, Series C, Part III – Aeroplane Carbon Dioxide Emissions Certification – Standards and Procedures.
(ii) CAR Section 4, Series F, Part IV – Procedure and requirement for licensing of Water Aerodrome.
B.
(i) 482 Licenses / Ratings were issued including 5 FATA issued and 170 Endorsements.
(ii) 999 Flight Clearances issued during the month of June, 2018 including 1 (one) tourist charter flight.
(iii) 01 Scheduled Operating permit renewed during the month of June, 2018. (iv) 03 Non-Scheduled Operating permit renewed during the month of June,
2018. (v) 13 No. of permission to import/acquire aircraft issued.

3. Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS)
A. 04 Security Audit of airports carried out; B. 01 Security inspection of airports carried out; C. 23 Security Monitoring/surprise checks carried out; D. 06 Security Tests carried out to test the efficacy of security system; E. 04 Security Survey of airports carried out. F. 03 Security Vetting of airports carried out. G. 54 aviation security training programme conducted for 1904; and H. Approval of security programme accorded to 11
(SOP/NSOP/Catering/Concessionaire/GHA/RA). 4. Airports Authority of India (AAI)
A. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) has earned a profit of Rs.208.80 crores after deduction of tax during the month of June, 2018.
B. Airports Authority of India, during June-2018, has awarded the work for: (i) Construction of New Integrated Passenger Terminal Building at C.C.S.
International Airport, Lucknow at a cost of Rs. 1048.20 Cr. for which Letter of Intent (LOI) has been issued on 04.06.2018
(ii) Construction of Hostel Block at proposed Civil Aviation Research Organisation Campus at Begumpet Airport, Hyderabad. at a cost of Rs. 23.09 Cr. on 13.06.2018.
(iii) Appointment of Project Management Consultant (PMC) for 'Extension of Existing Terminal Building and allied works at Dabolim Airport, Goa (India)’ at an Estimated Project Cost of Rs. 220.0 Cr. on 25.06.2018.
(iv) Extension of Runway (towards 18 side) by 1300 feet and allied works at Civil Airport, Jammu at a cost of Rs. 25.92 Cr. On 21.06.2018.
(v) Restoration of Basic Strip, Prevention of Soil Erosion, Extension of Apron and Associated Works at Shimla Airport on Design & Built basis at a cost of Rs. 96.59 Cr. on 29.06.2018.

ATR42 aircraft 6. Commission of Railway Safety (CRS)
A. During June 2018, statutory inspections were conducted before opening of seven
(07) lines for public carriage of passengers.
B. During June 2018, eleven (11) Periodical or other Inspections of Railways made by the Commissioner of Railway Safety.
C. During June 2018, 573 Minor Works and 31 cases of Rolling Stocks (RS) have
been sanctioned.

7. Pawan Hans Ltd
A. PHL has signed a contract with J&K Police, J&K Govt. for providing helicopter
services for a period of six months.
B. PHL has participated in International Competitive Bidding for which tender was floated by ONGC vide Tender No. P76BC18002 for charter hire of 03 (Number) Crew Change Task Helicopters and 01 (Number) Production Task Helicopter for offshore operations. ONGC has opened the tender on 20.06.2018 and PHL has emerged as “Lowest Bidder L-1” for both Crew Change and Production Task Helicopters.
C. The fleet of helicopters flew a total of 1819 hours during the month as against the budgeted target of 2112 hours.
