Shift Planning component purpose

The Shift Planning component allows you to distribute your human resources quickly and efficiently, and

ensures that an enterprise’s capacity is used to the full extent. You can assign shift time, shift location, selection and number of required employees so that your personnel capacity is utilized to its maximum effect.

You can schedule and create working hours for your employees in a flexible manner to cover requirements. You can also create time data for any number of employees at the same time, as well as for one or more days, weeks or even months.

Shift Planning is a component of R/3 Time Management. A permanent exchange of data between

the Human Resources and Personnel Managementcomponents ensures that the following data is always available:

changes relevant to planning in Time Data Recording and Administration

changes relevant to planning in Time Evaluation changes relevant to accounting in Shift Planning

In this way, planning errors, such as those that occur when manually transferring data, can be minimized.

The permanent availability of all current time information allows you to create an optimal shift plan as you take into consideration all personnel and time-related data for the relevant planning period.

Shift planning->Integration->Define substitution types

Here the grouping has to be assigned



Define groupings PS groupings we give in the previous nodes



This is for the Object selection in PP61 TCD



We will add O-S-P evaluation path



Requirement types we will leave it as it is





We will create the abbreviation for the DWS ,we will find them in pp61 screen later



The requirements types we can enter the necessary ones



This if required we can map it here else it transactional .will take us to PP01 TCD



Now go to PP61 TCODE



This profile is from one we created in View: V_T77EP





Choose the department and all the employees mapped to that dept will be displayed



It will prompt for mapping the shift group.This is transactional because we dint map in the previous

node

Click Save .we can find the shift group mapped to the department in PP01 and this from the table we

created earlier View: V_T77DB



The abbreviation comes from the table View: V_T77DB

Here we can simply make the change on a particular day and see the Substitution INftyp having the

record created



On Monday we are changing from NO to NA for employee Ruth Little

No we will see Substitution-2003 record for that day for the employee
