NURSERY SCHOOL NEWS We marked the end of the 2017-18 school year with a special and festive Shabbat Party. It was such a pleasure getting to know the children and watching them grow this year. We truly shared their excitement at their many accomplishments throughout the year. The children have learned to share, to wait their turn, to ask questions and to understand what it takes to be a good friend and be kind to one another! These are foundational learning blocks which shape who they will become. Many of the children are joining us next week for our summer kaytana followed by our 8 week summer pro-gram. We have lots of fun activities, exciting visitors and specials planned, including sports with Michael, Yoga with Kaila, cooking, water fun, Hebrew with Morah Etty and more! There is still time to sign up for the summer and the 2018-19 school year. There is also a lot of excitement about the opening of our infant/ toddler room this Fall! E- mail us at [email protected] Shabbat Shalom!

HELP ‘TEACH NJS’ GET STATE FUNDING FOR DAY SCHOOOLS Teach NJS is dedicated to securing state funding to ensure that nonpublic schools, including Yeshiva day schools, are safe and fairly funded. The New Jersey budget is set to pass on June 30. Every call and email to your elected official counts. Click here to make a difference for our children. By filling in your information and clicking “Send,” an email will be sent to all the listed officials. Our activists advocate for equitable government funding by educating the New Jersey legislature on why nonpublic schools in New Jersey need to be safer, stronger and sustainable. For the 2019 budget, our request totals $546 per student allocation: $190 for security aid; $150 for nursing aid; $146 for technology aid and $60 for textbook aid. There are three ways you can help grow Teach NJS in NJ: 1.) Become a school or shul liaison. We need people from each school and shul who are able to send our materials and Action Alerts to their network. 2.) Introduce one friend to Teach NJS. The only way we are able to grow is one-on-one engagement. Contact Jackie Kelly, Teach NJS Director, at [email protected] for more information. 3.) Invest in Teach NJS and become a leader in the community. Teach NJS membership includes events, conference calls and benefits throughout the year. All donations are tax-deductible. The time to take action is now and demand equitable funding for our children!
