Cretespray features are a range of high performance shotcrete solutions. Cretespray is a sprayed concrete by a wet or dry spray

method and can be reinforced by conventional methods such as steel mesh or by use of fibres Cretespray can be sprayed

vertically and overhead on a range of different surface types.

1. Planning Planning is the most crucial part for a successful shotcrete project. This involves enough material, equipment and labour for a continuous operation. Other factors such as working temperatures, material wastage, water and formwork should also be considered.

2. Preparation Preparation involves removing any dirt, debris, corrosion and other contaminants from the spray surface including any steel reinforcement.

3. Saturation To minimize water loss the area shall be saturated with potable water for a minimum of 7 hours prior to application.

4. Mixing The mixing method will depend on wet or dry application but typically involves mixing CreteSpray with 1.9-2.5 litres of potable water per 20 kg bag

5. Spraying Use sound shotcrete spraying techniques to probably place and compact the shotcrete. A thorough quality assurance process is recommended to avoid poor compaction and finishes.

6. Curing Proper curing and protection is crucial to avoid drying shrinkage. Moist curing is recommended.

7. Finishing

The finished product can be left in an “of-the-gun-finish” or trowelled to a smooth finish.
