What are Verbs?
A verb is a word that tells what people or things do. Verbs are words that show action.

Can you show action?
Activity: Volunteers act out an action using a
yardstick. Be creative! What could it be? Type a sentence (on the next slide) that
shows the action being acted out. Class identify the verb in the sentence,
and circle it using the pen tools.Examples:Shyra planted a tree.Billy swings the golf club.
