of Resilience9:00 - 11:00AM The cities of Atlanta and Chicago are moving the needle in energy efficiency initiatives, as demonstrated through their participation in the City Energy Project, the successful energy benchmarking challenge programs of Retrofit Chicago and the Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge, and the city policies to promote efficiency investments in their commercial and municipal building stocks that they’ve put in place. These achievements are due to successful local partnerships between the cities and key stakeholders. ComEd has worked with the City of Chicago on providing customer access to energy usage data to comply with the City of Chicago’s Benchmarking Ordinance. They have also partnered on providing customer support and training for the ComEd Energy Usage Data System (EUDS) through the City of Chicago Help Center. Over 940 property owners and 3,400 properties are enrolled and using the EUDS system. The Atlanta Better Buildings Challenge is a partnership that includes the City of Atlanta, the City’s major commercial districts and Southface as the core partner providing technical assistance for the program. Southface is a non-profit focused on inspiring market based solutions working at the nexus of the social, natural and built environment. Southface is able to create this impact through education, research, advocacy and technical assistance supporting homes workplaces and communities. This session will be an informal panel discussion and Q&A discussing successes, challenges, lessons learned, and what’s next for these two cities.Panelists:• Amy Jewel, Senior City Advisor, City Energy
