OUR PURPOSE
5
The aspiration to extend and deepen SYC’s services remains today – with strong progress made across the five strategic priorities.
Show Your Colours was originally released in 2011/12. Outlining a firm aspiration to extend the reach and impact of the services that SYC provides, Show Your Colours is the strategic framework for SYC to achieve Our Purpose.
In this update, a sixth priority has been added to reflect that by working with others, SYC can help people more and help more people.
The evolution into Show Your Colours 2.0 reflects SYC’s desire and capacity to adapt and innovate. It demonstrates core characteristics of SYC that have helped define and change the organisation now in its sixth decade and that will continue to do so throughout the years ahead.
OUR HERITAGE & EXPERIENCEEstablished in 1958 with a clear mandate to support disadvantaged young people in Adelaide, SYC has literally helped three generations of people to find a safe place to sleep, develop new skills, gain and sustain employment, finish school and reconnect with their families.
