Fatehpur Sikri: Built during the second half of the 16th century by the Emperor Akbar, Fatehpur Sikri (the City of Victory) was the capital of the Mughal Empire for some 20 years. The complex of monuments and temples, all in a uniform architectural style, includes one of the largest mosques in India, the Jama Masjid.

Day 05: JaipurBreakfast at hotel.

In the morning proceed for an excursion of Amber fort (You ascend the fort on Elephant back, subject to avail-ability).

The Amber Fort Perched high on a barren ridge, it com-mands extensive views over a deep narrow valley and the wider plains beyond. The building was completed in the early 18th century when the threat of Mughal domi-nation was receding. Amber was once, the capital of the Mina tribes, believed to be the original inhabitants of this region. Located up on the hills that surround Jaipur, the fort, sprawled along the Maotha Lake, boasts of a massive complex gateways, courts, stairways and pil-lared pavilions, and palaces that recall the glory and wealth of Amber's association with the Mughals. Raja Man Singh, Mirza Raja Jai Singh and Sawai Jai Singh built this complex, over a period of about two centuries.

In the afternoon visit the city.

City Palace: The vast palace complex occupies one sev-enth of the walled city of Jaipur. Originally Built by Maha-raja Jai Singh II of the Kachhwaha clan of Rajputs, addi-tion has been made to the palace complex by many of his successors. The complex is divided into a series of courtyards, sprawling gardens and buildings.

Day 03: Delhi / Agra (200 kms – 4 hrs)Breakfast at hotel.

In the morning drive to Agra. Arrive Agra in the afternoon and check in at hotel.

Taj Mahal (closed on Fridays): – It stands on the right bank of the Yamuna. The Taj was built to enshrine the remains of Arjmand Banu Begam entitled Mumtaz Mahal, the consort of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan. Its construction commenced in AD 1631 and completed seventeen years later. Unlike other Mughal garden tombs, the mausoleum is situated at the northern end of a large rectangular area with its central portion divided into a square garden. The entire portion is enclosed withinwithin a high boundary wall having broad octagonal pavilions at corners.

Agra Fort: The principal monuments of Agra - the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri - were built when the Mughal Empire reached its peak in wealth, power and enlightenment, and Agra was the capital and focus of attention. Built in the form of a half moon on the west bank of the Yamuna River, the Agra Fort is a masterpiece of design and construction. Akbar erected the walls and gatesgates and the first buildings inside. His grandson, Shah Jahan, had most of the principal buildings erected, and Aurangzeb, the last great emperor, added the outer ramparts. Some of the most exquisite buildings are the Halls of Public and Private Audience, Shah Jahan's white marble Khas Mahal Palace, and the Musamman Burj tower where Shah Jahan died after seven years of imprisonment in the fort.

Jantar Mantar: One of the five observatories in India. Built by Sawai Jai Singh, this is one of the largest and the best-preserved observatory. A passionate hobby of the king in the field of Astronomy, numerology, in-sighted him to execute this observatory and with the help of skilled labourers, he managed to create a collection of complexcomplex astronomical instruments chiselled out of stone and most of which continues to provide accurate information to this day.

Day 06: Jaipur / UdaipurInIn the morning transfer to airport to board Jet Airways flight 9w 3401 at 0715hrs. Arrive Udaipur at 0810hrs. On arrival transfer to hotel. In the afternoon you will be taken for the sightseeing tour of Udaipur city and also visit The Royal Vintage Car collection.

CityCity Palace - Udaipur's fascinating City Palace is the largest royal complex in Rajasthan. Standing on a rocky promontory the palace has balconies, towers and cupolas and presents a wonderful view of the lake and the city. The complex has eleven constituent Mahals (palaces), constructed by successive Maharanas during the three hundred years that followed the foundation of Udaipur in 1559. Udaipur in 1559.

JagdishJagdish Temple - Close by the main gate of the City Palace, high on a hill is a temple complex dedicated to Jagannath (the Lord of the Universe), an aspect of Lord Vishnu. It was built by Maharana Jagat Singh in 1651. Thirty-two steps lead up to it from the main road. The central temple in the group is heavily ornamented with excellent carvings. In its main shrine is an enormous black stonestone image of Jagannath. At the entrance, in an enclosed shrine of its own, is a fine bronze figure of Garuda (a mythical bird) the vahana or vehicle of Lord Vishnu.

Sahelion Ki Bari- The "garden of the maids of honour", Sahelion-ki-Bari was designed and laid out early in the eighteenth century as a retreat for ladies of the royal household to spend their time in leisure. The lotus pool, fountains, lawns, flowerbeds, and marble pavilions all combine to make it a captivating place.

Day 07: UdaipurBreakfast at hotel.Proceed for day excursion to Ranakpur to see Jain Temples.

TheThe Chaturmukha Jain Temple of Rishabhadeva at Ranakpur lies in the secluded valley of Mount Madri. It is a major Jain architectural achievement and an exqui-site work of art equal to, but less famous than, the Taj Mahal. It was begun in 1446 of the Vikram Era (1390 CE) and took more than 50 years to complete. The walls, ceilings, domes, pillars and doorways are finely and elaboratelyelaborately sculpted - the sculptors were said to be paid according to the amount of marble they chiseled away – and the finished temple in natural marble looks like an ornate carving from a single piece of stone. Day 08: Udaipur / Mumbai / Goa

Transfer to airport to board Jet Airways flight 9w 709 at 0820hrs to Mumbai. Arrive Mumbai at 0935hrs. On arrival board connect flight 9w 458 at 1200hrs to Goa. Arrive Goa at 1300hrs. On arrival transfer to hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to relax on the beach.

Morning – Arrival at Kolhapur City, known as Karveer or Dakshin Kashi of Maharashtra. Situated on the banks of river Panchaganga.

Day 13: AurangabadMorning Arrival at Daulatabad station.

Proceed by road to visit; Majestic fort Daulatabad. NextNext stop is Ellora caves, a World Heritage site, having 34 cave temples dedicated to three different religion- Hinduism, Buddhism & Jainism.

Lunch & free time.

Day 14: Ajanta & Nasik

Renowned Buddhist caves of Ajanta a World Heritage Site to witness some of the finest paintings and sculp-tures of the second century AD. ‘Bodhisattva Padma-pani’, ‘Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara’, The Birth of the Buddha’ & ‘Thousand Buddhas’ are a few amongst the many fine murals & sculptures.

At noon board train at Jalgaon railway station. Proceed to Nashik. Lunch on-board. Leisure Time onboard till evening.

Alight at Nashik Road railway station to board the bus for departure to Panchawati Ghat a holy place known for Kumbh Mela. Next, visit to Kala Ram Temple built in 1794.
