Pursuant to the order of Department of Telecommunications,
Ministry of Communications, Shri Rakesh Mohan Agarwal, Director
(Marketing), ITI Limited has taken charge as Chairman and
Managing Director, ITI Limited with effect from October 14, 2019.
Shri R M Agarwal has joined the Board of Directors of the company
on June 08, 2016 as Government Nominee Director. An Indian
Telecommunication Services officer of 1986 batch, Shri Agarwal has
a rich experience of more than 30 years in policy formulation,
standardization planning, operation & maintenance of telecom networks in different organizations of
Department of Telecommunications. He holds a Postgraduate Degree in Electronics & Communication and MBA
Degree with finance specialization.

ITI Limited Signs MoU with IESA to set up Electronics System Design Manufacturing Ecosystem for Electronics and Telecom Products in India
To strengthen the electronics system design and manufacturing (ESDM) ecosystem in the country, ITI Limited, public sector undertaking in the telecommunications technology segment signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with India Electronics & Semiconductor Association (IESA), a not-for-profit industry body
that works towards enhancing and promoting made-in-India products for world markets on October 10, 2019.

Shri K V Suresh, GM (Projects & Planning), ITI Limited and Shri Anil Kumar Muniswamy, Board Member & Advisor, IESA signed the MoU in the presence of Shri R M Agarwal, CMD, ITI Limited, Shri Shashi Prakash Gupta, Director (HR), ITI Limited, IESA Executive Council, senior officials from ITI Limited and Department of Telecommunications and members from IESA. Under the MoU, ITI will provide its infrastructure to manufacture electronic products with special focus on telecom and allied smart electronic products. The MoU envisages setting up of infrastructure to enable ITI to develop intelligent electronics ecosystem in the country inclusive of
product design, development and manufacturing with a focus not limited to areas such as Telecom, Internet of Things, Smart Cities, Smart Manufacturing, Smart Agriculture and others.
Highlighting the MoU tie-up, Shri R M Agarwal, CMD,
ITI Limited said, “ITI has a long legacy for telecom
equipment manufacturing in India. This initiative not
only opens the door for small and medium enterprises
but also enables them to reach out to global market
for their indigenous electronic products. The initiative
exhibits ITI’s commitment to the Government of
India’s flagship initiatives like Make in India and Smart
Cities programmes”.
One of the focused activities under the MoU is to create a first of its kind 5G Village at ITI premises that will
focus on design, development, prototyping, testing and manufacturing of 5G related enabled equipment,
devices and solutions for needs of the country. The 5G village will be equipped with Telepreneur Hub,
Systems Innovation Lab, Systems Certification Lab, Radiated Application Test beds and a Regulatory Sandbox.
The objective of the MoU is to build an intelligent electronics ecosystem in the country and promotion of
Make in India and Startup India initiatives.

ITI Limited won the prestigious National Safety Awards for the Performance Year 2017 for maintaining Industrial
Safety at ITI Mankapur Plant and ITI Bangalore Plant.
ITI Mankapur Plant has conferred the

ITI Limited Launches Cloud Services for Customers
ITI Limited has launched its cloud services and solutions
platform for central and state government entities,
banks, public sector undertakings, small and medium
enterprises and Startups in India. The new cloud
services offered by ITI Data Center is expected to
provide end-to-end IT infrastructure including new age
cloud services to all its customers in the coming years.
The initiative also exhibits ITI’s commitment to the
Government of India’s flagship initiatives like Digital
India, Make in India and Smart City. The newly launched cloud services include Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS),
Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and Storage as a Service (STaaS). The cloud facility is
expected to achieve optimum utilization of infrastructure and speed up the development and deployment of
various ICT-IOT based applications for customers. It would also help government and non-government enterprises
to procure ICT services on demand. To host these services from Data Center, ITI Bangalore Plant has signed an
agreement with Connectivity IT Solutions Private Limited (CS) where ITI will host the cloud at its data center
facility while CS will support cloud infrastructure, R&D capabilities and technical manpower.

Murthy H N, Chief Executive Officer, M/s Connectivity IT Solutions Private Limited, Bengaluru on September 11,
2019. ITI’s data centre is equipped to host, operate and administer an authentication portal with services like
Authentication User Agency, Authentication Service Agency, KYC Service Agency etc. on the SaaS model.
ITI Limited Launches ITI eSeva Portal and National Support Centre
ITI Limited has launched ITI eSeva Portal and National Support
Centre at ITI Bangalore Plant. ITI has ventured into eSeva services
to deliver online services to citizens through eSeva centers across
the nation by generating digital entrepreneurs. ITI eSeva centers
would facilitate e-Governance, e-Commerce and e-Learning
services accessible to rural and urban citizens. The portal integrates
more services within one portal providing training and delivering
timely support to empower eBO (e Business owner) network. ITI
eSeva Portal has the features like One Shop for all services, One
Wallet and one click pay, Business monitoring, Customer database,
User friendly, Easy access faster delivery and Regional language
support. Under the ITI eSeva portal programme two lakh
entrepreneurs are expected to avail the benefits.

ITI Limited Observes Swachhta Hi Seva Program
ITI Limited observed ‘Swachhta Hi Seva’ program across its units/plants on the
theme “Plastic Waste Management” as part of Swachh Bharat Mission 2019 and
as per the directives of Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation from
September 11 to October 2, 2019 in commemoration of 150th birth
anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
As part of Swachhta Hi Seva and to create mass awareness and mobilization campaign on swachhta, ITI Corporate
Office organized a special awareness drive on the theme “Plastic waste management and ban on single use
plastic” on September 27, 2019 at B area of ITI colony. Emphasizing on plastic waste management, Shri Shashi
Prakash Gupta, Director (HR) said, “Single use plastic and bottles are non-biodegradable, as they release toxic
chemicals that cause health hazards
for humans and animals. The plastic
waste thrown out in the
surroundings clogs open drains,
pollute lakes, rivers & oceans and
cause environment pollution.” He
also urged all employees to stop use
of single use plastic, plastic carry
bags & bottles and use alternatives
such as jute, cloth and paper bags to
keep the environment clean. To
make residents aware, senior officers and employees of ITI Corporate Office initiated door to door campaign on
plastic waste management and informed them about hazards of using plastic items in daily life.
As part of Swachhta Hi Seva, ITI Bangalore Plant organized a talk on “Plastic
Waste Management and ban on single use plastic" on September 27, 2019.
On the occasion, Ms. Rajalakshmi, Consultant, SAAHAS Zero Waste
Company spoke about the hazards of single use plastic and made a
presentation on “Ways of disposing plastic safely without effecting
environment”.
ITI Bangalore Plant also organized a special cleanliness drive ‘Shramadaan’ on the theme ‘Plastic Waste
Management’ on October 2, 2019. Shri R M Agarwal, CMD, ITI Limited, Shri Y Muralidhar, GM-BG & R&D, Unit
Head, ITI Bangalore Plant and senior officers paid tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. Employees
of ITI Bangalore Plant and Corporate Office, ITI Central School Teachers and Students, NCC, Scouts and Guides
also participated in the special drive. On the occasion, Shri R M Agarwal, Shri Y Muralidhar and Shri Harateesh
administered swachhta pledge to employees and school children. Emphasizing on Swachh Bharat Mission,

Shri R M Agarwal said, “Single use plastic is causing harm to human, animal and marine life and badly effecting
the environment”. Shri Agarwal spearheaded the cleanliness drive at ITI Township by collecting plastic waste
along with senior officers, employees and school children. ITI Bangalore plant also organized a Walkathon in ITI
Township. Shri Agarwal, Shri Muralidhar, senior officers, employees and school children actively participated in
the walkathon by displaying banners and raising slogans on swachhta.

from Palakkad District Ayurveda Hospital on
October 1, 2019, Shri D. Venkateswarlu, GM-PKD,
Unit Head led the cleanliness drive. He was
accompanied by senior officers, employees of ITI
Palakkad Plant and Doctors of Ayurveda Hospital.

ITI Mankapur Plant organized a campaign on plastic waste management and cleanliness drive to ban single use plastic from September 11 to October 2, 2019. ITI employees, Students of St Michael School and Kendriya Vidyalaya organized rallies and nukkad natak in the premises of Mankapur Plant and ITI Township and encouraged all to use paper, jute and cloth bags. Senior officers, employees & their family members and
students participated in the cleanliness campaign.
ITI Limited Organizes Workshop on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)
Corporate IS & IT Department organized a five-day workshop on Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) from September 9 to 14, 2019 at ITI Bangalore Plant. Inaugurating the workshop, Shri Shashi Prakash Gupta, Director (HR) said, “Implementation of ERP in the company increases the efficiency of employees by using less resources, money and time, producing higher quality of work and improve productivity which will benefit the future growth of the organization”. He urged the participants to learn the processes involved in ERP. Shri K V Nagaraj, DGM (IS&IT)
provided valuable information pertaining to ERP at the workshop. On the occasion, Shri Rahul, CEO, M/s ETag Solutions gave a brief introduction of ERP modules. Team members from M/s ETag Solutions imparted training on four modules viz Finance, HR & Payrolls, Materials Management & Manufacturing, IT & IT tools. ITI Limited has signed an agreement with United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) for the Project “Enabling Advanced Career of Tribal Girl Students” through Career Guidance and Counselling in Tribal Schools and Colleges in Telangana State on October 22, 2019.
