Inauguration of new wing of Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya with World’s Highest
Number of Modular Eye Operation Theatres, 14th Nov 2015
Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust had its new wing of the hospital inaugurated on 14TH Nov 2015. The facility, with 25 State of the art Modular Operation Theater and one Lasik Suit to accommodate 18 to 20 surgeries at a time, is unique in the world. The facility was opened for the public with the grand inauguration by BJP National President, Mr. Amit Shah. District Administration of the neighboring Districts was also in the ceremony with the presence of several chair-holders. Efforts of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot were lauded by all. Under the blessings of Sadhu Samaaj, with all the Trustees, Gurubhais and Gurubens, the disciples of Param Pujya Shri Ranchhoddasji ji Maharaj, whole Sadguru family graced the occasion amongst the multitudes of audience. Inauguration of 95th Tara Netradaan Yagna, 15th Nov 2015
95th Tara Netradaan Yagna of Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust was inaugurated on Nov 15th 2015. Chairman, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Shri Vishad. P. Mafatlal hoisted the flag in the presence of honorable Trustees and addressed the members of Sadguru family. He felicitated Dr. Vinod S. Parekh from Mumbai, acknowledging his charity work. On this auspicious day, Sadguru Paduka-Pujan was done and Sadhu Bhandara was organized at Shri Raghuvir Mandir.
World Sight Day , 8th Oct 2015
On Oct 8th, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust concluded the month long World Sight Day celebrations. Posters competitions were held at the schools of Sadguru Education Society with the

International Trainings
Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya’s first ICO (International Council of Ophthalmology), Dr.Diarimirindra Tendrisoa from Madagascar finished her 3-month-Fellowship in Oculoplasty on November 30th, 2015. Furthermore, international trainees from Romania, Jordan and China respectively are undergoing training under the supervision of Dr. Rajesh Joshi, Head of Department, Cataract & IOL Services.

39th MPSOS Conference, 23-25th October 2015
Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (SNC), Chitrakoot had a fabulous third consecutive Award winning year at Annual Conference of Madhya Pradesh State Ophthalmology (MPSOS 2015) held on 23-25 Oct 2015 at Ujjain, attended by 28 doctors from SNC. Dr. Aditya Sharma’s free paper was judged as the Best paper in Cornea. Dr. Bipul Bhushan had best paper in Retina, Dr. Anusuya in Cataract session, Dr. Rashmi Ingle in Pediatric and Dr. Narendra Patidar in Orbit & Oculoplasty. Under Dr. H.C. Setiya best video Award category, Dr. Pawan Puneet Malhotra' video scored runners-up position. Chitrakoot had a strong presence with 30 out of total 60 papers presented, 6 out of 12 videos showcased, 3 posters and 11 Faculty talks in the conference.

Dr. R.P Centre for Ophthalmic Sciences, All India Institute of Medical Sciences and World Health Organization, South-East Asia Regional Office organized Inter-country Workshop For Training of Trainers to Involve Volunteers in Primary Eye Care in Delhi. Sitapur Eye Hospital , 23rd -24th Dec 2015
Mr. Arun Pandey and Mr.Kamta Pandey visited Sitapur Eye Hospital for follow-up visit. The visit was focused on installation and training of Vision Center Management Information Systems developed by SNC. Mr.Kamta Pandey successfully installed the VCMIS and trained four vision technicians in day to day management of software.

Dr.U.P Shrama, Mr.Subramanyam, Dr.Elesh and Dr.Jain visited Aurbindo Nethralaya, Raipur for need assessment of the hospital. The two days visit was focused on understanding the eye care services of Aurbindo Nethralaya, conduct situational analysis and discuss future collaboration under mentoring project. From Aurbinod Nethralya, Dr. Anand Saxena, Medical Director, Mr.Takdir Jain, Administrator and other key staff participated in discussions.

Free Eye-Camp and Spectacles Distribution at Central Jail,
District .Satna, 11th & 23rd Oct 2015
Under the direction of District Collector Mr. Santosh Mishra. 700 inmates were examined for eye-diseases. 20 cases were identified for cataract while 400 had refractive error. On Oct 23rd, 2015, free Spectacles Distribution follow-up camp was held for respective inmates. District Magistrate, Satna, Mr. Santosh Mishra and MLA from Rampur Baghelan, Mr. Harsh Kumar were the Chief Guests. Jail Superintendent Ms. Shefali Rajesh contributed greatly to the success of the program.

Free Eye-Camp and Spectacles Distribution at Central Jail,
District Hamirpur, 4th Dec 2015
On Dec 4th 2015, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (SNC) held screening program in Central Jail of Distt. Hamirpur on the invitation of district administration. SNC Team of Center for Community Ophthalmology organized the event with full support and cooperation by Jailor Mr. K.P. Singh. More than 250 jail inmates were examined. 145 were identified with refractive errors and optical dispensing was done for 112 inmates. Inmates of the Central jail felicitated the SNC team with beautiful rangolis made by Juvenile prisoners. On Dec 22nd 2015, 112 spectacles were distributed to the respective inmates in the presence of Jail Superintendent Mr. Rai and District Collector Ms. Sandhya Tiwari.

At Collectorate office, District Magistrate of Mahoba, Mr.Veereshwar Singh called upon District Health Society meeting for Cataract Backlog-Free Zone program with CMO, Dpty CMO, All Medical officer Incharges, DPO ICDS,BSA,District Panchayat RO, DIO and all other administrative departments. Post meeting, plan of action shall be finalized by the authorities accordingly, giving way to CFZ project for the betterment of eye-health care of the people under joint project by, Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya and HelpMeSee International with the help of Government Administration.

Inauguration of 35th Vision Center at Khaga,
Fatehpur,U.P, 31st Oct 2015
Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya (SNC) , Chitrakoot inaugurated its
35th Vision Center (16th in UP) supported by Sightsavers at
Khaga, Fatehpur,U.P on 31st October 2015 in presence of local
people and local administration. Catering to rural population of
more than 23 lakhs of Fatehpur district, SNC has now vision
centers in all three district-divisions with one each in Fatehpur,
Bindaki, Amauli and now, Khaga. CMO, Dr.V.K. Pandey and
Nagar Panchayat Chairperson, Ms. Geeta Singh graced the
occasion. From SNC, Sr. Consultant Dr. U.P.Sharma, Sr.
Manager, HR, Mr.Devendra Singh and Sr. Manager, CCO, Mr. D.Subramanyam addressed and
interacted with the people.

Health Checkup and Awareness Camp for Malnutrition Eradication at Gram Panchyat Paldev, Chitrakoot, District Satna and at Gram Panchyat Pindra, Barha Mavan, District Satna were organized on 26th Sep. and 31st Oct. respectively. With more than 200 registrations, screening camp was held for children (1-6 years). Awareness sessions on Personal hygiene were carried out along with distribution of supplementary nutritional food packets with sukadi, clothes, soap etc. , Mrs. Pratibha Pandey , DPO and Mrs. Shveta Juneja, PO (ICDS) with the team from the Trust led by Mrs. Usha B. Jain, President of Mahila Samiti organized the campaign.

CME Proposal for Government Health-care workers, 31st Dec 2015,
For the strengthening the women and child health care programs,
awareness campaigns have been planned with Jankikund Chikitsalaya.
The proposal is on CME for Government Health-care workers on
relevant subjects like reduction of maternal death, increase of
vaccination under Mission Indradhanush launched by Ministry of
Health &Family Welfare and Janani Suraksha Yojana (JSY) under
National Rural Health Mission (NRHM). The meeting was held with
JKC administration and Government Health- officials at Jankikund
Chikitsalaya.

Vidyadham Investiture Ceremony, 28th Oct 2015
Vidyadham Higher Secondary School observed Investiture Ceremony on Oct 28th in the presence of Dr. B.K. Jain, Director and Trustee, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Mrs. Usha B. In Sadguru Public School, Slogan writing competition was organized under the guidelines of C.B.S.E. Students form class VI to VIII participated in this competition. Sadguru Education Society organized Sadbhavana-evam-Swachhta Race Sadguru Public School, Chitrakoot. More than 500 students from participated. Representatives of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust and Sadguru Shiksha Samiti visited Vanvaasi Raam Aadivaasi Aavasiya Vidyalaya and distributed Clothes, Stationary, nutritious cereals at Anusooya Ashram to the kids from tribal communities living in the nearby areas. President of Mahila Samiti, Smt. Usha B. Jain and her team interacted with the residents. In the second part of the visit, medical checkups were done for the tribal kids and essential medicines were distributed free of cost.

Late, Shri Arvindbhai N. Mafatlal, the founding Chairperson of Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, left for heavenly abode at the age of 88 on October 30, 2011 at Chitrakoot, his spiritual Karm-Bhoomi. Shraddhanjali Sabha was held on November 15, 2015 at Chitrakoot on the occa-sion of his fourth death anni-versary at his Samadhi Sthal in the campus with bhajan Sandhya. The Chairman of the Trust, Shri Vishad. P. Mafatlal along with his family, the trustees, Gurubhais, Gurubens and Sadguru family offered tribute.

Navratra Celebration was held with Puja-havan and sadhu-bhandara done at Shri Raghuvir Madir, Jankikund. On the auspicious day of Ashwin Shukl Paksh Purnima, Sharad Purnima was celebrated by Raghuvir Mandir Trust.Under the full—moonlit open skies, bhajan and pujan ceremonies were carried out.

Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust, Chitrakoot celebrated Gopashtami at Sadguru Gau-Seva Kendra, that houses more than 800 cows. Sadguru family worshiped cows along with their calves with incense, flowers, roli, jaggery, fragrance, clothes, rice and water. Gau-sevaks were also given gifts, recognizing their core-contribution in enabling the Gau-seva.

In the evening of Devstahni Ekadashi of Kaartik month, November 22nd, 2015, Tulasi Vivah was celebrated. Mr. Ashok Bhai Nathvai and family from Rajkot were the bride side of Tulsiji while Mr. Rishiraj Vora and family from Chitrakoot were from groom side of Bhagvaan Shaligram. Devotees from Gujarat, Maharashtra and from all over joined the celebrations. Vidai ceremony was held on November 23rd, 2015.
October 8, 2015 was celebrated as World Sight Day at Sadguru Sankalp Netra Chikitsalaya, Anandpur.Different activities were organized with major highlight being CME on Glaucoma by Dr. R. S. Kothari (Mumbai). The interactive theoreti-cal session was followed by hands-on session in OPD. Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra attended the ses-sions along with Dr. Shruti Kothari (Mumbai) and other ophthalmologists and optometrists from the SSNC.
Four outreach camps were also organized on the day through which around 400 patients were screened; 35 were provided with spectacles and 84 patients were admitted for cataract surgeries who were provided with free transportation to the base hospital. Leaflets to educate the community on eye care were also distributed. 64 patients underwent surgery to gain better vision.

100th Outreach Camp at Susner, 19th Oct 2015
On 19th October 2015, 100th camp was organized by SSNC at Susner, Madhya Pradesh with an active support of “Shri Seva Parivaar-Susner”. Mega eye screening camp was organized at Shri Khedapati Hanumaan Mandir Susner. Mr. Murlidhar Patidar, MLA Susner; Mr. Milind Dhoke, Deputy Collector, Agar-Malwa; and Dr. Brijbhushan Patidar, BMO Susner graced the occasion with their presence. A team from SSNC participated in the function and conducted screening. In all 215 patients were examined; 62 patients were admitted for Cataract while 21 patients were provided spectacles.
39th Annual Conference of M.P. State Ophthalmic Society “NAYAN KUMBH” was organized from 23rd-25th October 2015 at Ujjain. Dr. Dharmendra Singh Saryyam; Dr. Lokesh Gupta; Dr. Shyam Sundar Gupta, Dr. Sunil Singhal and Mr. Ravi Upadhyay participated in the conference on behalf of SSNC. The team attended various scientific sessions and expanded their learning.

Under Cataract Backlog Free Zone Program in Ganjbasoda block of Vidisha district by SSNC, on 29th October 2015 a mega training programme was organized at “Manas Bhawan – Ganjbasoda”. Shri Goverdhan Upadhyay, Trustee Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust; Shri Nishank Jain, MLA – Ganjbasoda; and Dr. Mangal, BMO were present on the occasion. Shri Goverdhan Upadhyay appealed and addressed the audience on concept of Cataract Backlog Free Zone. 148 Asha Workers were imparted prelimi-nary eye screening training by Mr. Shakeel Ahmed from SSNC.

LTT Camp, 5th Dec, 2015
Under the Family Planning Programme sponsored by Government of India, a one day LTT Camp was organized at Shri Sadguru Sankalp Chikitsalaya, Anandpur on 5th December 2015. Dr. Vishnu Jobanputra, Director & Trustee SSSST Anandpur, single handedly performed 29 Laproscopy Tubectomy by Fallop Ring and thus benefitted 29 families. Female Sterilization is considered to be the safest method of family planning and usually females are discharged from hospital within few hours after the procedure.

On 7th November Rangoli and Drawing competition was
organized at Shri Sadguru Sankalp Higher Secondary
School (Smt. Sushilaben Arvindbhai Mafatlal H.Sec.
School)Anandpur. Children especially girls actively
participated in the competition and they drew colorful
Rangolis and Drawings to mark the beginning of the
festival season.
Clothes Distribution, 5th Nov 2015
On 5th November 2015, Mahila –Samiti led by Su. Ilaben Jobanputra distributed clothes to the needy labor communities from in and around the trust. Garments along with pillow covers; purse/valets; toys etc. Around 100 families benefitted from the activity carried on with the support of Arpan Foundation, Mumbai. The poor families were also provided with essential food items to support their daily nutritional requirement.

The birthday of his holiness Param Pujya Gurudev Shri Ranchhoddas-ji Maharaj is celebrated every year on Kartik Shuklapaksha Chaturthi. On the holy occasion of Gurudev’s birth, Pujan ceremony was performed on 15th November 2015 at Guru-Mani at Shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir Anandpur by Su ILaben Jobanputra. The Vedic Mantras were enchanted with full devotion and staff members present on the occasion paid homage to the gurudev and took his blessings.
Food Assistance to the Tribal Families, 19th Nov 2015
On 19th November, Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust Anandpur carried out food assistance programme by Mahila-Samiti under the leadership of Su. ILaben Jobanputra. Munda speaking Sehariya Tribes, resid-ing mostly in mud villages in distant interiors of village Dhamohkhedi in Sironj block of Madhya Pradesh were provided food and clothes. Students from Shri Sadguru Sankalp Higher Secondary School also actively participated.

During his visit at the trust Pujya Shri Haricharan Das Ji Maharaj organized a Bhandara at Shri Ramdas Hanuman Mandir, Anandpur on 3rd December 2015. The Batuks (young Brahmins) from Sanskrit Pathshala and Brahmins from around the region took the Prasada.

wanted to establish a Farmers’ Training Center at
Kaharpura, the land which was purchased by
Gurudev himself for the very purpose. It is being
developed by the Trust. On 3rd December 2015
Pujya Shri Haricharan Das Ji Maharaj visited Shri
Sadguru Dhaam – Kaharpura. He visited the
Hanuman Temple under construction and closely
observed the activities. He was very appreciative of
the hard work put in by the Trust at such a
challenging location.

Travelling for almost 8 hours, Bibijan brought her 4 year old cataract
suffering daughter, Gulbahar to Sadguru Netra Chikitsalaya,
Chitrakoot from Hartharpur, Mohammdi village of Lakhimpur Dis-
trict in U.P. Bibi
sews clothes for
livelihood. She has
no support from
her family but is very strong-willed. After successful
operation of her daughter at no cost, Bibi thanks those
who have enabled her Gulabahar to get rid of cataract.
Very hopeful and happy, now she will put her to school
near her village and is optimistic that her daughter will
grow up to be a self-sufficient one.
