SHORT TERM GOAL

Ÿ To provide fundamental knowledge of engineering and technology and develop competency among students to achieve academic excellence.

LONG TERM GOAL

Ÿ To cultivate and induce professional skills among students.

Ÿ To create skill of adaptability among students with curricular and co-curricular activities.

VISION

To be a center of excellence by imparting lifelong learning

attitude through dissemination of basic technical and

professional knowledge among its students for the

accomplishment of ever-growing needs of society.

The inaugural function of FESA reinstallation

was held . The function was chaired by Mr.

Prasanna Karmarkar. He is university mentor

and presently working as Professor in SUK

the inauguration was held in the gracious

presence of Hon. Executive Director, Shri. Anil

Bagane and Dr. S. A. Khot.

Mr. V. V. Gondkar, FESA coordinator,

introduced the FESA body and Executive

Director Mr. Anil Bagane, Mr. Prasanna

Karmarkar jointly felicitated FESA members.

Both Honorable Director & Chief Guest

addressed the audience. The student

coordinators of FESA also shared their

opinions .

The guest of honor delivered a key note

address. It was very interesting session & all

enjoyed it. The students also conducted some

ice breaking activities. To conclude the

session Miss Ankita Bhabire proposed vote of

thanks.

INDUSTRIAL VISIT

The Department of GES is striving hard to

provide the technical khowledge to the

students. That’s why the industrial visits

were being conducted by the department.

The main intention behind it is that students

should get actual knowledge about the

industry and technology used there. Such

visits are often organized by our department

to ll up the gap between syllabus and

industrial knowledge. Here are several sites

where we organized industrial visits:

Ÿ Sharad Sugar Factory

Ÿ Vedant Construction Site, Ichalkaranji

Ÿ Hydraulic Power Plant, Radhanagari.

One week FDP on Presentation Skills was organized for the faculty of General Engineering & Sciences

Department, SITCoE, Yadrav for developing and inculcating presentation skills among them.

The FDP aimed at motivating the faculty to become for bearers of presentation skills and then they will

cultivate it amongst the students, which is a need of time. However, we were doing for the development of

faculty and ultimately the students under the platform of FDP.

We organized various lectures, training sessions, panel discussions and presentations of various

academicians and experts who encouraged the faculty to become ideals for students in presentation skills.

There was also the active support from Hon. Executive Director, the Principal and faculty members of other

departments, too.

held on 23rd-24th February, 2017 at SITCoE, Yadrav (Ichalakranji). And the faculties of the department
