APPLICATION
Sterling SIHI side channel pumps as per DIN 24254 / EN 734selfpriming - handling entrained gas - operating at low noise
Pumps of series AEH were especially developed for difficultapplications in all industry sectors and are thus applied alwayswhen pure, turbid or aggressive media have to be pumpedwithout any problem under difficult conditions.The possibility to apply pumps of this series
of different materialsat uniform dimensionswith interchangeable SIHI standard componentsand uniform performance diagram
as universal pumps for all pumping problems results in wideapplication in many sectors such as
chemical industryOEMand food and semi-luxury industry.
In several large-scale companies the pumps of this series wereincluded in the company standard because of their economicoperation as well as because of economic wear parts stock.
DESIGN
Horizontal, selfpriming side channel pumps handling entrainedgas of segmental type with open vane wheel impellers. Theprogramme comprises 6 sizes, each with 1 to 8 stages ofdifferent material designs whereby optimum rating is possible,in each case referred to the capacity range desired and to themedium handled.The applied hydraulic components are from our side channelpump MAT system.
CONSTRUCTION
Casing pressure
Max. 40 bar from - 40 °C to + 120 °Cpressure graduation for higher temperatures as perDIN 2401Please observe:Technical regulations and safety rules.Casing pressure = inlet pressure + delivery head at min.output.
Position of branches:
Suction and discharge branch pointing radially upwards.
Flanges:
The flanges correspond to DIN 2535 PN 40. Flange designas per DIN 2512 with groove and drilled to ANSI 150, 300as well as BS. Table F is basically possible.
Hydraulics:
First hydraulic. Designation of this construction type: A.
Bearing:
Either by a grooved ball bearing greased for life as perDIN 625 and a liquid-surrounded journal bearing.Designation of this construction type: .Aor by two grooved ball bearings greased for life as perDIN 625. Designation of this construction type: .B
Sense of rotation:
Clockwise when seen from drive on the pump. Conversionto anti-clockwise rotation is possible.
Shaft sealing:
Shaft sealing can alternatively be effected by a stuffing boxor by standard mechanical seal.Depending on pump material, temperature range, number ofstages and bearing the shaft sealings stated overleaf can beapplied.
