All Things Work Together For Good!
As people often say, “what doesn’t kill you makes you strong.” I have been in different tough situations in my life. There have been a few moments in my life when I wished I had done things differently. There have been moments I wished I had maintained my Christian values and principles. I know the outcomes would have been much better. Conversely, there have been many times I uncompromisingly stayed faithful to the gospel values. They were extremely difficult moments in my life. I came close to giving up, but by the grace of God, I persevered. I continued to pray and put my trust in God even when everything else said otherwise. In the end, things turned out amazingly well. It is indeed a powerful experience to see how God’s hand works in my life and to know that HE NEVER FAILS. “We know”, says St. Paul, “that in everything God works for good with those who love him” (Rom 8:28). Thus, we believe that God is actively involved in our lives. In his infinite love and wisdom he desires our good and well being more than we do for ourselves. Yes, moments of tragedy, misfortune and trial can be very difficult to take or understand. Yet if we remain faithful, if we persevere in prayers, if we courageously carry our crosses daily and follow Jesus, we are guaranteed that everything will work out in the end. Indeed, God uses our painful experiences to transform us into better versions of ourselves. It is this belief and conviction that led the apostles and saints to rejoice in their afflictions. St. Paul even boasted in his own afflictions:
Not only that, but we even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope, and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us. Rom 5:1-5
So, no matter what you are going through in your life right now, don’t give up hope. Stay faithful to God. Remain strong in your prayer life. Make an act of faith and resignation to God’s will every day and he will never disappoint you. Hence Jesus says to us, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy” (Jn 16:20).
He estado en diferentes situaciones
Mantente fiel a Dios.

Something that a lot of people don’t know about me is that I love musicals! Since I was in high school musicals have been something that I have fallen in love with and try and go see whenever I get a chance. The musical that sticks out to me this weekend is the musical “Hamilton”. For those of you who don’t know this musical is about the founding of our country and the beginning years through the life of Alexander Hamilton. Now I'm not going to lie, when I first heard about this musical when it came out I couldn’t imagine hip hop and American history going together, but after seeing another musical Lin Manuel Miranda wrote called “In the Heights” I decided to give it a shot. I fell in love with musical from the very beginning and still listen to it often to this day. There are many themes in this musical but the two that stick out to me are equality and standing up for what you believe in. These are principals that our country was founded on and fought for so that we could have our independence. But today, equality and standing up for what you believe are still an issue especially with what is going on in our society right now. We fought for freedom, we fought for independence, we fought for so many God given rights. So this weekend while you watch and light off fireworks, B-B-Q, and spend time with the family, don’t forget why we celebrate this day.

DID YOU KNOW?
Tips for keeping calm and parenting during stressful times
We are living in unprecedented times, and many parents are stretched to
capacity. The added stress of pandemic living can make it hard to parent calmly and effectively when children are acting out, but it’s important to remember that children are also going through a huge period of change right now. Instead of reacting in anger, try these ideas to keep your cool. Talk to a friend – many people are suffering from a lack of physical community, so reach out by phone or text. Pray together as a family, asking for patience, cheerfulness, and whatever other virtues you need to get you through the day. Set an example of forgiveness with your children — ask for it when you need it and grant it when they do. For more tips, get a copy of the VIRTUS® article, “Say it on repeat: I am going to keep my calm!” at https://lacatholics.org/did-you-know/.
