Many of you will know me as someone who has grown up in the community and taught dhol class. The SCCYC played an important role in my childhood and I'm keen that it continues to deliver quality services to the Sikh, local and wider communities. There are lots of exciting events for Autumn 2015 set out in this newsletter including the Northampton Sikhi Camp and a no. of youth projects. We are continually looking to ensure we have the skills and capacity to deliver our services as well as deliver the new building project. Therefore, we have formed a new youth group, started recruiting volunteers and planning relevant training. Please contact us if you can volunteer. We also have two positions to fill on the SCCYC management committee: Health & Safety Officer and Women's Services. If you can spare a couple of hours a month and think you have the skills and interest for the roles, we would love to hear from you. Please contact a committee member or Centre office for further information. Have a Happy Diwali. Kuljit Singh Bhangra (Secretary)
