Complexity
Alan Siegel Chairman Emeritus, Siegel

Wade ChannellWade Channell, JD, is a Senior Legal Reform Advisor at USAID. After practicing international commercial law for eight years in Brazil and New York, Channell began a series of downwardly mobile but highly rewarding career choices in international development. He has spent the past 20 years working on economic development issues, especially where development and rule of law intersect. He currently works for the Bureau of Economic Growth, Education and Environment, concentrating on business enabling environment issues. He publishes regularly on rule of law and governance questions. He has lived in Brazil, Guinea-Bissau, Croatia (where he was president of AmCham), Mississippi, and Belgium, and has worked in more than 50 other countries on 5 continents. Channell lives with his ridiculously gracious wife in Northern Virginia; together they have dragged their two remarkable daughters around the world before sending them off to adulthood.
Alan SiegelAlan Siegel is one of the best-known figures in branding and a driving force behind the plain English movement in the U.S. and abroad. In 2011, Siegel created Siegelvision to develop simple, powerful brand strategies for clients. He also serves as the Chairman Emeritus of the consultancy Siegel+Gale, where he advised organizations such as American Express, the National Basketball Association, U.S. Air Force, the Girl Scouts, the Legal Aid Society and Carnegie Mellon University. Siegel was the Director of a project for the Internal Revenue Service to simplify U.S. individual income tax forms. He has written extensively on branding and simplicity for The New York Times, CBS, CNN and the TED Conference. Siegel is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations, New York University Law School, the School of Visual Arts and Alexei Brodovich’s DesignLaboratory.
Irene EtzkornIrene Etzkorn is one of the world's foremost authorities on simplification. She built Siegel+Gale’s Simplification portfolio into the largest in the field and is the co-author of the book Simple: Conquering the Crisis of Complexity. Etzkorn has worked extensively in the financial services, government and healthcare sectors for clients including Allstate Insurance, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, General Electric, the IRS, the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and Bank of America to simplify their customer experience. Etzkorn holds Bachelor's degrees in English and Biology with highest honors from C.W. Post College, and a Master's degree in Professional Writing from Carnegie Mellon University. She is a former board member of the Center for Plain Language and has served on both the English Advisory Board of Carnegie Mellon University and the Communications Advisory Board of Dalbar.

The Card may be used to purchase or lease goods or services wherever the Card is accepted.3.2: Cash Advances. The Card may be used to obtain cash advances from your Account (1) in person at the Bank or any participating financial institution, (2) by electronic online cash advance to another account, or (3) ATMs in the Bank networkor other participating ATM networks (listed on the back of your Card). Based on risk, we may further limit cash advances in our sole discretion. We have no obligation to you to enforce such transaction limits, and you owe all cash advances made.
