Dear All,The training programme on Quality Management System (QMS) scheduled from 26th July 2010 to 30thJuly 2010 is initiated by Sinhgad College of Engineering (SCOE) along with British Standards (the UK’sNational Standards Body ). British Standards is continually evolving standardization norms to help business face the challenges of thefuture. As customers become more sophisticated, better informed and their expectations grow, the only waytheir business can survive and prosper is by offering a commitment to quality.

A Quality Management System (QMS) such as ISO 9001 provides a management framework that givesthem the necessary controls to address risks and monitor and measure performance in your business. It canalso help businesses to enhance their image and reputation and enable organisations to look forimprovements through internal and external communications. In the same line the objectives of the courseare :

i. to understand the Quality Management Systems concepts

ii. to understand the standard ISO 9001:2008,

iii. to understand the clauses and the interpretation of the clauses

iv. to implement & Audit 9001:2008 management system in an organizationand its upkeep
