Chomley TAFE, Kim Courtney Cable Beach Glass SJOG Health Care Geelong Lotterywest Fran Wilson Julie James Bailey Perpetua Clancy Durack Celebrating the SSJGVolunteers SSJG volunteers and staff at the Pinctada Hotel for the annual Volunteer ‘Thank You’ Morning Tea. on his guitar as his captive audience joined him in SSJG Volunteers and staff gathered at the Pinctada Hotel, Cable Beach last Monday 2nd November to celebrate the events and achievements of the SSJG Heritage Centre made possible through the work of its volunteers throughout 2009. A gathering of almost 30 people, included Sr Pat Doyle and Sr Eileen from Perth. The morning began with Sr Pat Rhatigan welcoming and thanking the volunteers for their work and commitment throughout 2009. Meticulously prepared, Sr Pat noted the valuable contribution made by the volunteers through the various tasks and roles they perform. From those that commit themselves on a weekly basis to manning the Relationships Exhibition, to those who are engaged in other tasks, such as tran- scribing audio interviews; model-making; sewing; folding archive boxes; labeling, etc, to those that give up their time to identify people in photographs. A presentation of certificates for each of the volunteers then followed, with the morning coming to a soulful close with Stephen ‘Baamba’ Albert, strumming away Stephen Albert on his guitar, playing for the SSJG volunteers and staff .
