Parts SearchParts Search looks
at only partsmanuals (partsidentification
documents). It will
locate partsconsists matching
apart number or a
keyword entered
into the fill-in box.
After clicking the
Search button, the
Search Resultspage displays the
links to parts
consists pages that
the search found.

Parts SearchParts Search will
find a partial wordor number when a
trailing asterisk ( * )
is entered to
replace the end of akeyword.
In this example,
start*entered intothe fill-in search
box would return
the words start,
started, startingand any other
words with the first
5 characters of s-t-
a-r-t.

Parts SearchIn this example, the
Keyword phraseentered into the
fill-in box was
swing bearing;
Parts Search foundthose two words
close to each other(not separated by more
than one word) withina parts consists
and in a different
order.
This proximity
search feature is
only available
within PartsSearch.

Basic SearchBasic Search has 3
ways to expand orrestrict its search.
First:
Select the
Information Types.If no types are
selected, SIS will
select all types
which increasessearch time and
number of results.
Basic Search onlydisplays the Info. Types
available for the
indicated Model.
Hold the Ctrl key downto select multiple types.

Basic SearchSecond:
Enter a Part No.And/ Orany
Phrase or single
word. And means
each text item inthe box above and
below, in any order;
Ormeans either
item in the text boxabove or below.
A multi-word Phrase
in one fill-in box mustbe in the same order
as those words in the
document. A trailing
asterisk may be used
in either Phrase box.

Publication Dates
to set the time
frame of when adocument may
have been
published.
Click the Search
button to initiate a
Basic Search.
A search without a
Part No. or Phrase
returns all selected
Information Types
for the indicated
Modeland Dates.

Management ControlSystem); a trailing
asterisk allows
expanding the
range of codes(i.e. 310*would return
links to documents
referencing any code
from 3100 through3109).
