Saturday, June 27, 10:00am Iona Jetty Enjoy a stroll on the jetty with panoramic views of Mount Baker to the east, the Coast Mountains to the north, Pacific Spirit Regional Park in the foreground and the Vancouver Island Mountains to the west. Meeting spot: Jetty entrance – north on Templeton Street, which becomes Ferguson Road, and continues to the jetty entrance. Bring your dog to a walk! Dogs are welcome to join the walks on February 8, March 7, May 2 and June 4. Dogs must be well socialized and kept on a leash at all times. Become a volunteer walk leader Do you like being active and socializing? Would you like to make a difference in the community and explore more of Richmond? Then become a volunteer walk leader! Join this walk through a 30-acre urban park in East Richmond and explore the many amenities offered including a waterplay area and community gardens. Visit the Richmond Public Library pop-up table after the walk to find out about library resources and free classes for the community.

Meeting spot: Main entrance to the Cambie Community Centre, 12800 Cambie Road.

Saturday, January 11, 10:00amGarry Point Park/West DykeLoop around Garry Point Park and continue along the West Dyke trail while taking in the spectacular views of the Gulf Islands and Coastal Mountains.

Saturday, January 25, 10:00amMinoru ParkDiscover Minoru Park, the green heart of Richmond’s City Centre. The walk begins and ends on the Clement Track before making its way into the Minoru Lakes area to the north.

Overlook the river, Ladner and Mount Baker on this picturesque route that heads towards the sport fishing pier along the South Arm of the Fraser River.

Saturday, March 21, 10:00amHugh Boyd and Outdoor Fitness CircuitEnjoy a walk around one of North America’s single largest artificial turf fields that borders the Richmond Pitch and Putt golf course. A demonstration of the outdoor fitness circuit is offered following the walk.

Thursday, May 7, 7:00pmRailway Greenway TrailTake in this multi-use cycling and walking trail that connects several neighbourhoods to the Fraser River Middle Arm and South Dyke/Steveston waterfronts.

Saturday, May 16, 10:00amThompson Community Centre – Terra NovaExplore both the north end of the Railway Greenway trail and the Fraser River along the Terra Nova dyke trail with its panoramic view of the airport. This walk is a treat for airplane and nature enthusiasts.

Saturday, June 13, 10:00amFraserwood TrailEnjoy an invigorating walk along the South Arm of the Fraser River in the Hamilton area of East Richmond. The route travels towards the Alex Fraser Bridge and passes by a marina, houseboats, woodlots and Fraserwood Park.
