Shipping Containers
Designed originally for carrying materials around the worldand being stacked up to eight units high, each fullyloaded with 30 tonnes, not only have these containersbeen responsible for globalisation but they also makeexcellent on-site storage.
Available in 8’, 10’, 20’ and 40’ lengths, shippingcontainers are all 8’ (2.44m) wide, apart from the 8’container which is 7’ wide.
We stock four grades of hirefleet shipping container:
n Furniture Shipping Containers are clean on the inside, have vermin-proof door seals are usually suitable for most types of furniture and archive storage.
n Standard Shipping Containers have double doors at one end, are available in all sizes from 8’ to 40’ and are ideal for all other forms of storage.
n Budget Shipping Containers are available for hire and are more cost-effective than other options. These are painted in the shipping lines’ original colours and are only recommended for storing items such as construction materials and equipment where functionality is more important than appearance.
n Special Shipping Containers for hire include 20’ full side access, 20’ double door and 20’ or 40’ high cube (300mm higher than a standard shipping container) for specialist uses. Bunded stores are also available in 10’ and 20’ lengths.
Flat Pack Containers
On some sites it is not possible or safe to deliver containersby lorry-mounted crane because of weak or low bridges,overhead obstructions such as power lines or restrictedsite entrances and access.
The Flat Pack storage range is a practical solution andsufficiently light to be offloaded in sections from a smallvan or trailer, with each section compact enough to bemanoeuvred through small passageways.
These units are also an alternative to the traditionalgarden shed. They are available for sale in 2m, 3m and4m lengths by 2.1m wide, however for hire they are onlyavailable in 3m lengths.
The Flat Pack range also includes a bunded Chemstorewhich incorporates a secondary internal structure toprotect the environment from spills of chemicals or liquidsstored inside.
