Sixth Form Open Evening – September Intake 2017
A Welcome from Mrs J Diaz, Principal
Dear Student
Your Sixth Form choices are very important so it is vital that you take the time to consider what the appropriate pathway is for you. This evening is designed to enable you to make informed
choices about which subjects are appropriate for you. You have the opportunity to see
presentations on subjects you are considering, learn about the course content and method of
assessment and speak to teachers about what the course entails. We hope you find the evening
useful and are available to answer your questions throughout the evening.
Mrs J Diaz
Principal, Holcombe Grammar School

For Your Information ……
The majority of students will follow a curriculum that consists of three A-Levels although some students
may wish to study four subjects. All students wishing to include Mathematics in their options MUST
choose four subjects.
You will be able to attend a maximum of four subject presentations this evening plus the Principal’s Talk. We recommend that you take full advantage of the subject presentations in order to get a clear
understanding of the content, assessment and requirements of each course you may wish to undertake.
We are fortunate to have members of the Victory Academy staff present this evening to discuss the
numerous vocational courses they have on offer and which can be taken alongside our A-Level
