What is The Schools and Libraries Program? • Its formally known as “E Rate”

•It gives discounts to schools and libraries for the acquisition of telecommunication services.

•It provides 20% to 90% discounts to schools depending on economic need/location.

•Schools must apply to receive funding.

•Internet access

•Internal connections

•Installation of equipment

SJ Welsh Technology Goals1) Teachers will become more proficient in implementing,

assessing, and supporting the development of digital-aged skill within the context of specific units of instruction.

2) To increase access to technology-enhanced writing opportunities for students.

3) Students, staff, and the community will have increased access to information and technology resources.

4) To improve online communication with parents, community members, businesses, and community organizations.

Summary

Looking at the data, we have grown significantly in Classroom integration and Infrastructure, but we still have a long way to go. We need to increase in other areas, like technology proficiency for teachers and administrators. With continuous hard work, we are well on our way to becoming a model school for technology.
