Saint James School is excited to host the Saint James Invitational Tournament again this year for the 2019-2020 basketball season! The tournament is a special time to showcase our campus, our student-athletes and the local community. Following the revival of the tournament in 2016 we have received an overwhelming response from the alumni, parents and friends that cherished this tournament over the years (1974-2002). This year’s event will feature the defending National Champions from IMG Academy as well as expected preseason number one ranked Montverde Academy along with several top recruits nationally and locally from other schools. We are confident that this will be the best field in the history of the SJIT! Last year’s SJIT Champions, Woodrow Wilson High School from Washington, DC, joins the long list of champions that have come out of this historic event. Dimingus Stevens from Wilson was the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player. He joins a long list of heralded players to receive that award, such as: - RJ Barrett (New York Knicks) - Tracy McGrady (retired, Orlando Magic) - Dennis Scott (retired, Orlando Magic) - Jerry Stackhouse (retired, Brooklyn Nets) The 34th SJIT will be held on January 30th, 31st, and February 1st of 2020.
