Product Solutions & Move ManagementProviding the right furniture solution demands careful understanding of client requirements. By configuring workspaces intelligently, we help clients achieve greater collaborative working as well as increasing productivity and knowledge-sharing.

Whether clients are relocating, refurbishing or simply in need of additional furniture, Sketch ensures the office layout and space planning meets both individual and corporate needs.Office furniture is a significant business investment in any office interior scheme as it interacts with the organisations most costly and important asset, its people. Furniture can also be used to enforce a brand; it can project a company’s attitude towards the working environment and its staff through the look, feel and quality of the furniture. All of these must be in line with the culture, market position and aspiration of the business.

Project Delivery

Sketch also offers a full move management service with a dedicated move manager who will help you prepare for your relocation and manage the whole process. We’ll provide everything you need for a successful relocation including a detailed plan, the crates, wrapping, stickers, the muscle, and a fleet of Sketch vans ready to take you to your new destination.

Our 8,000 sq ft of warehouse space ensures we have complete control of the delivery process and storage facilities if required.

Excellence in DeliverySketch have invested heavily in creating a business that is able to deliver consistently to our own very high standards. We do this by ensuring we have full control of project delivery through our in-house, fully employed, logistics teams, warehouse facilities and vehicle fleet.

We employ our own fitters, drivers and warehouse operatives. Aligned with account support including account managers, designers, project coordinators and project managers, this means a Sketch employee is in control every step of the way.

Through the use of several bespoke pieces of software, we have the ability to pull information from our quotes directly into purchase orders and create notes for our project managers. Information is then passed on to our warehouse so they know what items are being delivered when, and for which projects. Our delivery team then use “Moveman” software to manage our logistics & installation teams and fleet of five Sketch vehicles.

With 8,000 sq ft of warehouse space we provide the delivery service that you deserve. Our client is our priority; this cannot be delivered when outsourcing. We have logistical control and can collate multiple deliveries so you do not have to, or we can make sure your delivery turns up in the correct size vehicle regarding access routes.

To further support clients, Fourfront Group is a founding partner of The United Workplace; a global network of workplace experts, who have come together to support their clients’ office design and fit-out requirements internationally.Fourfront Group has a turnover in excess of £160m which gives Sketch the strength and stability required to re-invest in our business and grow from strong foundations.

InvestmentSketch and Fourfront Group invest heavily both internally and externally; we are a privately-owned business with no borrowings, that chooses to re-invest profits to grow a true ‘business’ and deliver a high-quality service to our clients. Internally we invest year-on-year in our business to ensure we have the best systems, procedures and people.

Externally we continue to invest in programmes such as RIBA CPD in order to deliver and increase knowledge across the market place.

IndependentOur list of top ten suppliers changes year-on-year, and is based on our constant aim to offer the right furniture solutions to our client. Our largest top ten spend in one year was in excess of £8 million. In 2016-17 alone Sketch used over 155 suppliers in our search to assist our clients with their furniture requirements whilst we actively seek to create wholesome relationships for the good of all parties.

We carefully select products and manufacturers for our key accounts and all our furniture packages are bespoke. Furthermore, we do not manufacture or import any products ourselves. Sketch provides clients with access to strong relationships with a multitude of Europe’s biggest and most recognised manufacturers.

PeopleAs part of Fourfront Group, our enviable staff retention record is in part due to our training and development programme delivered through The Fourfront Academy. All Fourfront employees are enrolled into the Academy and are given a career development training programme, tailored for their specific needs and job role. We invest 3 times the national average in training and development.

The level of investment the Group puts into our people has been acknowledged through us placing 11th in the ‘Sunday Times 100 Best Companies To Work For’ in the mid-size category, alongside the highest possible achievement – a Three Star Accreditation. We have initiated The United Workplace, a network of like-minded businesses, sharing a passion for the workplace– inspiring design, innovation and a culture of collaboration underpins everything we do.

All members share common ethics, values and goals bringing with them a wealth of knowledge and experience. The fundamental goal of The United Workplace is to provide consistency of service and local insight on a global scale- to fulfil your workplace design, fit-out or commercial furniture consultancy and installation needs.

Globalisation is accelerating and having the ability to link businesses, exchange best practices and share knowledge is seen as a distinct advantage. The United Workplace consists of a hand picked collection of businesses selected in recognition that each country and market has specific requirements.

Beginning with the founding partners Fourfront Group in the UK and Amicus in Australia, The United Workplace has grown to encompass all corners of the globe, with members including Summertown in the Middle East and Ware Malcomb in the USA.

The first step is us spending time with you to fully understand your business, people, challenges and objectives. How do you use the space you have? How could you better use the space? What’s missing?

From start to finish we can provide a fully integrated range of tailored solutions and services to take away the potential headache and help us get to where we need to be. We’ll make sure it’s fun along the way too. Sketch has it’s own internal team of designers working to our time schedule with our clients best interests at heart.

As many of our projects involve working with architects we have aligned our work stream to follow in the footsteps of the RIBA plan of work. In this way we have synergy with our architectural partners workflow. Sketch would generally be invited to work during the Stage 2 “Concept Design” phase. The RIBA plan of work is a robust programme and is therefore utilised by Sketch routinely.

Sketch, since our inception has worked with clients large and small in many capacities. Our historic basis as noted previously gives us the knowledge and ability to work with all project team partners. We believe strong project teams and key champions are significant components. Our work with clients such as Selex / Leonardo has given us proficiency in providing tailored packages. We consulted with Selex from “Strategic Definition” phase, setting standards, working with ( internal ) Selex Teams, ( external ) IT and M&E contractors through to completion of their “South Coast Consolidation Project” and then rolling out this standard through their multi-sited property portfolio during smaller projects and BAU works. This has created a relationship that has lasted for 4 years so far.

We currently work with many architectural practices in different capacities depending on the project or team. We are flexible in being able to provide a full consultative service including space planning, design, regular engagement meetings, providing presentations for other approved alternatives if required plus organising and delivering mock up furniture to ordering and flawless delivery and installation.

Sketch have invested in building a talented account delivery and management team, which means the team you meet on day one, from the initial contact through to the sign off and handover of the space will be the same. Charity FundraisingAside from the positive feedback we get from our customers, nothing pleases us more than being able to give something back to society. We proudly support a wide range of charities and community initiatives through Fourfront Group.

We organise regular fundraising events and voluntary programmes to assist local charities. Since 2008, we have supported the Shooting Star Chase Children’s Hospice, a charity caring for children with life-limiting conditions and their families. To date, we have raised over £240,000 through fundraising events and sporting challenges.

In addition, we also work with environmental charities and participate in environmental projects. These have included supplying materials and furniture to the Construction Youth Trust, inviting local students to tour construction sites and assisting clients with carbon-offsetting initiatives.
