The Executive Committee of Austin Skiers sends it's best wishes that
everyone have a Safe & Happy Holiday Season! We want the thank all those
who members and guests who attended the Annual 2017 Holiday Party held
on Sunday, December 10 at Riverplace Country Club.
Photos of the Holiday Party were taken courtesy of resident professional
photographer Vicki Leonardo. In addition to the pics included in the
newsletter you can see a slide show of the event on her Google Drive and the

A little bit about our photographer. Vicki became a professional
photographer in 2012. Her work has been published in a
children's cook book by local author Barbara Beery. This year
Vicki was named Distinguished Photographer of the Year by the
Austin Professional Photographer's Association.
Vicki offers family portrait work and specializes in individual
portraits. Her boudoir photography offers clients an elegant yet
provocative portfolio. See a wide variety of Vicki's work on her
website at www.davinciimages.com. Don't look for wedding
photos; Vicki doesn't offer them and instead prefers less stressful
photo sessions.

Gary's Tidbits.....
In the last issue I focused on Big Sky and Steamboat. The next 3 trips are to Jackson Hole(Jan 20-27), WY, Breckenridge, CO (Jan 27-Feb 3) and Cortina, Italy (Jan 26-Feb 3). Clickhere to obtain the latest snow reports for Jackson Hole, Breckenridge and Cortina, Italy.
One of the most important things to having fun while skiing is staying warm and of coursebeing safe. In the Winter Guide put out by "Ski" Magazine, they provide their best advice onhow to stay warm. Check out the guide - it's 24 pages that might be of some help prior tohitting the slopes.
I don't know how many of you have created your own checklist to make sure you don't forgetanything. I thought it might be helpful for all to have a basic checklist - so as you pack yoursuitcase and duffel bags you can check them off your list. There may be unique items that youmight want to add, but here's one that at least can get you started.
We look forward to another GREAT year of providing travel and social opportunities foryou and your family to enjoy!
